We had a great stay at Jake’s farm! The site was exactly as pictured, and everything matched our expectations. Jake/Chris was a welcoming host and very quick to respond to any questions. One of the highlights was seeing so many fireflies at night—it made the experience feel truly magical. Would definitely recommend!

I can not find the words to fully capture the beauty and magic of this stay at Gnome Yome. We absolutely loved every second of it. While it had everything we could possibly need, we embraced the way nature and the views brought us connection and disconnection from all distractions. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful space, lovely views and enjoyed the peaceful camping. Not necessarily the most tidy communal spaces, but if you want an authentic farm experience, this place is awesome. Recommended :)

Weekend Trip to The Confluence

Beautiful piece of property right on the Mills River. Had a great time camping myself, and even with other campers in the other spots was still very secluded. Short walk to River access or the outhouse (which was way cleaner than I expected). Saw a few groundhogs and swam in the River. In my spot there wasn’t too much to come by for hammock setup, but there is plenty around. Phil even came by and checked on me in the evening. Had a great time and I will be back.

1 night at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

Super sweet and helpful staff! Bed was comfortable, river outside the cabin was absolutely beautiful. The cabin as clean and adorable. So many things to do nearby! Reception isn’t great but there’s a community center right up the road not even half a mile with open network that works great and they do have a WiFi spot on the campground as well. The cell service was not even close to a deal breaker this place felt like a home away from home! We absolutely loved it!

7 nights at Ellis Cove

This was a beautiful site. It was very quiet and private. We had a wonderful stay. The river was lovely. It was 20 to 30 minutes away from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Seiverville. The only downside was the narrow windy road leading to the campground, but it was that way in multiple areas and was not a deterrent. After driving past the extremely crowded larger campgrounds, we were glad that we stayed here.

My family and I hesitated about going on our trip after finding out it was likely going to rain the majority of our trip here. We decided to make the best of our trip and still went, and had the greatest time. A great experience all around from the beautiful scenery to the farm fresh sausage. 4 nights at Shoestring Creek Campground

My girlfriend and I loved the Bambi cabin at Shoestring Creek. Rhonda and Roberta are amazing and very accommodating. Very quiet, tucked away, and peaceful. Do yourself a favor and go spend some time at Shoestring Creek Will be back!

My favorite part was sitting by the campfire listening to the babbling creek and watching the fireflies. This is a beautiful place to camp. It was nice to have the washing station and the shower. There are several nice touches - a basket of travel size toiletries, cute signs, twinkle lights.

We loved the peaceful escape of 3feather sanctuary. Amazing curvy mountain roads to get there, close enough to nearby towns, great spot to enjoy nature! Love the friendly-ness of the owners, welcoming vibe of the property and all of the nice amenities. The Fireside spot was a little hard to park our truck and camper in, on a steep hill and had to back out, I think I would prefer a different spot at 3feather with the camper next time. Would recommend!

I sleep a lot on the day bed in the living room so the Sawmill can be comfortably rented for up to 4 guests. The outhouse is a thing of the past, just recently I installed a compositing toilet besides the bedroom.We also offer The Summit which is a high elevation, 2-story cabin surrounded by national forest which has evolved into an off-grid living and play space located at nearly 3300 feet elevation on a 1/2 acre flat with an incredible view. There are very private old forest service trails leading directly into the Pisgah National Forest.

Add them as extra guests Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall! This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends! We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November. There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. No fireworks. No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible) Do not cut down trees alive or dead If you move picnic tables please move them back Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit. There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down. The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. We are only 15 miles from downtown Asheville & Hendersonville, and 22 miles from Lake Lure.
