Beautiful last minute find! So glad we had the chance to stay at Saxapahaw Country Club—it’s a little hidden gem in a really cool part of central NC. The site was easy to find for setup. The space was very open and had beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The property is very well set up and maintained. The hammocks hanging between the pines overlooking the pond and the lambs/donkey was my favorite. Their pork is DELICIOUS. We met the owners and they are so sweet, and also very helpful/quick to respond to questions. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Farm Stay at Saxapahaw Country Club

Direction to camp were clear, all the photos gave an accurate image of what we pulled into. The ground was level and easy to park for the High meadow spot where we stayed-easy to pull through. It was nice to have their lights, and also nice that they automatically went off after a certain time as to not keep us up. Loved the handcrafted steel fire pits and wooden chairs-perfect for relaxing without needing to pull out our chairs. Although we didn’t need it, they pointed out where the electric hookup was, and it was nice to have access to water, food prep table, trash cans, and the compostable toilet (simple with no notable smell at all with toilet paper-as well as feminine products as a nice gesture-and easier than having to use our own toilet/pack it in/pack it out). Cool to see them out doing their farm duties…letting us have our privacy while being available to us. They also were so friendly and sweet with our kids-even came over and offered for our children a once in a lifetime chance to bottle feed one of their sweet lambs!!! Farm cats came to visit frequently, which we didn’t mind a bit but just something to be aware of in case you aren’t a fan of cats. Great property to roam, fun tree swing that the kids loved, and amazing to get out and enjoy the sounds of nature and be so accessible to town.

Love camping here! The hosts are great - intentional to greet and ensure it’s a good stay. I’m a bit bias and love the animals, except that goose and I may have some beef. Excited to visit again soon. Our dogs love playing in the field. Good access to nearby restaurants and parks.

All 3 hookups. Great location. Lots of land to walk the dogs. Beautiful area. Friendly and helpful host and other guest. So many great reasons to stay here! We got to Wendell, knightdale and wake forest all in 30 min or less. Dogs got to be off leash on the trail walk. Thanks for accommodating us! Decent Verizon and T-Mobile. We work full time remote. It IS and ISNT private. Private as in it’s not surrounded by homes and parking on a Main Street. But there was road noise all night as you’re just 100ft from it, so keep a fan on. Still 5 stars and can’t wait to return!

Great clean property for our 2 night stay. We were in town for a soccer tourney and this property was conveniently located just minutes from the sports complex. Full hookups was a bonus, the area was quiet....couldn't ask for a better site. We will definitely be back for the next tournament.

1 night at Wooded RV spot with campfire

Husband and I, along with our two chocolate lab kiddos, enjoyed our brief overnight stay here on Thanksgiving Eve. Given the holiday traffic (and the hub’s proclivity for taking ‘the road less traveled’🙄), we arrived much later than projected, all the while keeping our host informed via text of our delay. Despite approaching as darkness fell, we were able to navigate through a nice suburban neighborhood to find the site without any trouble— the provided directions were a cinch to follow. Our RV (class B 24’ Airstream Atlas) nestled nicely into the wooded area which was situated well away from the host’s home and those of any nearby. After driving head in, we took full advantage of the electric, water, and sewer hookups we found to the left that suited our rig perfectly. We did not require any leveling. Although we did not use the fire pit, we appreciated the ample sitting area surrounding it which allowed everyone to relax and stretch their legs (those with two AND four). We enjoyed a quiet, peaceful rest before leaving the next morning to gather for lunch with family in Durham. We would definitely choose this Hipcamp site again should the need arise!

The Saxapahaw Country Club is a beautiful 31-acre working farm and event space. Located just a few minutes from Saxapahaw Village, it's a convenient and gorgeous place to stay. While we are happy to be a late-night crash spot for after shows, we hope you stay a minute to walk the fields, hang in the hammocks, sit by the pond, or take a swing from the branches of our 200 year old White Oak tree. You'll come down our curvy driveway through the trees, and see our event barn on the left. In front of the barn is a communal space for campers to enjoy with a great view. This area has a fire pit, chairs, wood-fired grill, handwashing station, and farm table. Please note, this farm stay is an agritourism activity subject to the limit of liabilities as described in N.C.G.S § 99E‑32(b). We have sheep and pigs and a donkey rotating through pastures behind electric fencing. You are welcome to look but don't touch the fence! We also have 3 very friendly farm cats. Pork from the farm is available for purchase, as well as firewood. The Old House
