Camping by the creek was wonderful, and the deck was a lovely spot to read and listen to the birds. Truly peaceful. My dog loved the trails and splashing in the water! I'd love to come back and jump in the swimming hole on a hot day! Thank you Dianne 🩷

We had a great time although we picked a "weather challenged" weekend to visit. Diane kindly offered us the small cabin instead of the dome since it was roomier and there was a high possibility of severe thunderstorms overnight. The creek was absolutely beautiful and full of skipping stones. Their dog, Bug (I think that was his name) was sweet and welcoming! My daughter's and I look forward to coming back on a less rainy and warmer weekend to explore the creek a little better!

What an amazing site and hospitality at its finest! It was great to let the dogs swim in the river. It was a little too cold for me when I visited in February but I will definitely be back in the warmer months. I had a camper but had a tour of the camp and all the sites were very cute. A beautiful back road mountain drive to Boone with plenty of hiking and a mtn bike park in the area.

Whitetop Camp is located in the heart of Whitetop, literally just minutes from the start of the Creeper Trail (Whitetop Station), Whitetop Mountain, the Appalachian Trail, National Forest, and Grayson Highlands State Park. Our property is quiet and serene. A lovely creek runs through the property. There is a large open field for frisbee and other recreation. A bike rental/shuttle shop, two gas stations, cafe, post office and library are a walkable distance away for your convenience. Please note for 2025: The Creeper Trail from Whitetop to Damascus is currently CLOSED due to heavy damage from Helene. You can drive to Damascus and ride the Trail to Abingdon. All other trails and parks in the Whitetop area are OPEN at the time of this writing (1/25).
