Welcome to Peak A View Farm & Camp where Rest and Relaxation are a Reality! Come enjoy the beautiful landscape of the western mountains in Ashe County, NC on ninety acres of farmland and forest surrounded by mountain peaks, the New River and breathtaking sunsets. On the drive in, to the southeast you can see Peak Mountain for which the property was named. The mountain is part of the New River State Park and is known for its scenic river views and hiking trails. Two RV buddy campsites are available on the property. Campsite #1 was originally created for our personal use. Campsite #2, so our fellow camping buddies could join us. Although a short drive from our homes, the serenity of the property always makes us feel as if we’ve travelled many miles. Campsites are laid out in an ‘L’ shape which creates the perfect group camping experience. Guests can choose to camp alone or invite others. Campsite 1 and 2 are reserved together as one booking due to the close proximity of the sites. The property is secluded, but easily accessible. Campsites are full hookups which include water, sewer and 50 amp electric. Both sites can accommodate any size RV. They are gravel and level which makes getting set up easy. A 30 x 30 shelter with concrete floor, lights, picnic tables and trash bin is nearby, which is a great asset in any weather. A fire pit and chairs are a nice addition for evening enjoyment. Firewood is provided. WiFi is available. The area is pet friendly. Pets can be off leash, however, you might consider leashing your pet, as wildlife is frequently seen. If your furry friend is anything like our dogs, the chase is on when a deer, squirrel or turkey makes a sudden appearance! During your stay, take a 7/10 mile walk down to the New River. Pull up one of the chairs on the small covered deck overlooking the river, sit back and take in the sounds of the calming waters. Watch floaters, kayakers and canoe navigators pass by or enjoy your own floating, fishing and swimming. On the other side of the river is part of the New River State Park. A 15 minute drive will take you to downtown West Jefferson for restaurants and shopping. Visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce online or downtown for information on our county’s many attractions and events.

Family Owned location with great views . Located adjacent to the Linville River and across the street from Lake James . This location gives the camper a center location for many activities. The State Fonta Flora trail system sits within feet of this property and offers the mountain biker miles of beautiful trails . Within a short distance is the trail head to Shortoff mountain and Linville George with exceptional views and hiking. Boat landing is a close for those who want to recreate on the lake and kayak. Close by is the renowned Fonta Flora brewery and Mica Town Breweries located only a few miles away.This is a secluded space that is private and on the Linville River before it enters Lake James. Lake James State Park offers a full menu of activities. Along with boating, swimming and fishing in the beautiful, clear waters of the 6,812-acre lake, there are 25 miles of trails, 15 of which are open to mountain biking. We invite you to enjoy one of our two full hookup RV sites which includes 20/30/50 amp service, sewer, and water at each campsite. Our pads are extra wide, level, and extra long complete with a fire pit and picnic table. Sites are located in a grassy field surrounded by forest. Our 70 acre property boasts scenic views, two small ponds with fish to feed, and marked hiking trails. This is a perfect place for star gazing. It's our hope that you will find genuine peace and relaxation here. Due to requests a second site was created in February '22. This is a perfect place for two families to enjoy this acreage all to themselves. Please see photo denoting the location of site 1 and site 2. Each site is booked independently. If you should ever decide that you want to leave this quiet haven, consider an adventure to: NASCAR North Wilkesboro Speedway 18 miles, Wilkesboro/N. Wilkesboro (Merelefest, Faithfest, Brushy Mountain Apple Festival) 16 miles, West Jefferson 28 miles, Stone Mountain State Park 24 miles, Boone 43 miles, Tweetsie Railroad 46 miles, Grandfather Mtn 56 miles, Mt. Airy (Mayberry) 53 miles. We have had several 40+ft rigs stay with us with no issue. For those not accustomed to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, a couple of areas of moderate incline but that does not exceed 8%, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel. Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Beautiful property. Our families enjoyed the peace and quiet. Little to no traffic along the road. I think we saw 10 cars all weekend! And the River is gorgeous. We definitely want to get back in the summer and enjoy some tubing. And town is less than a 20 minute drive to enjoy restaurants and shopping. Thanks Steve and Penny.

The space was so well maintained. With only 2 spots and spread out we felt very secluded and private. We loved the campfire ring on the back of the space under the tree cover. We did have a problem getting our camper up the entrance hill but they were great, got a tractor and pulled us up! Talk about service! They have trails on their lot but we headed out to Stone Mountain and Roaring River Vineyard for the day - would recommend both. We would definitely come back…once we have a better truck 😊

My friends and I had an amazing time staying on Bear’s land. I was blown away by our accommodations. She gave us a whole 5 gallon water cooler, a blowtorch, firewood, and fire starter material. Everything was as the pictures looked and the instructions explained. The bathroom and shower were easy to use and we never had to wait on anyone else to use them. Although we were mainly at the campsite just to sleep and change, when we talked to the host, she was super friendly and very kind (and had the cutest and most friendly dog). Overall, I highly recommend staying here!

The glamping site sits on top of the hill. It has the most privacy along with its own picnic table and fire pit area.

The glamping tent was amazing! It kept heat in really well. We also always had wood for a fire and fresh water! The bathroom area was kept super clean and the shower was HOT which is truly a luxury. We absolutely loved our time at the Linville Adventure Pasture. Christian was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our stay great. We have three boys 6-11, and we did EVERYTHING! We threw axes, rode the zip line, did a round of frisbee golf, swam in the river and jumped off the rock ledges. The location is great for other local activities as well. There is a running/biking path, a great 4.5 mile hike up Shortoff Mountain with spectacular views, close to Old NC 105 for some off-roading fun and so much more within an hour. Endless fun to be had. The property is not only beautiful but it’s also clean and safe. We highly recommend staying here and plan to come back if able. Thank you, Christian!!
