Weekend Trip to The River

We had a great experience and would recommend! Quiet and peaceful and the owners and other guests were very friendly. The washer and dryer was a great bonus!

It is directly on the road but almost no cars. We felt absolutely secluded even being on the road. Almost zero traffic the whole day. Nice playground for kids. Super clean water. Super clean spot and good graveled lot. Definitely a great time.

This campsite is Heaven! We booked for four nights but extended our stay because this place is so amazing. It’s very private, there are only two sites but we were the only guests. The owners and a couple of their relatives live here and they’re all super nice, helpful and very respectful of guests and their privacy. Our dog could run free and play with the other lovely fur babies who live here. It’s so peaceful! We never wanted to leave! There’s a beautiful silence, you just hear the river’s flowing as it’s a stone's throw away. There’s a fire pit and all the wood you might need. You can go tubing or canoeing and Michael gave us everything we needed to do that. I can't say enough good things about this place. It’s a gem and we want to come back for sure! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience in a quiet, beautiful property. A whole immersion in nature, with all the comforts of full hookup.

Great private area with lots of room to explore and to let my dogs off leash. Neighbors are lovely, they gave me fresh eggs! Wildlife is active and you never know what you will find. Absolutely enjoy sitting outside when the sun is setting and watching the lightning bugs!

What a beautiful property and Jenny and Michael are so friendly and helpful. The digs loved playing with their dogs, and they enjoyed swimming in the river. Couldn’t have asked for a better location! We will definitely be back.

The campground was secluded and quiet. We were passing through on a Wednesday night and just so happened to have the entire place to ourselves. The bathrooms were very clean. Beautiful views and the sunset was breathtaking.

Their facility is really fantastic! The hook up’s were all top notch and very easy to access. Great fire pits and picnic tables and super easy access to the river. We were lucky enough to run into the owner of the property who showed us a great spot to catch the sunset. Just a really great spot for some peace and quiet with fantastic views and great facilities.

Despite the fact that this campsite was devastated by hurricane Helene and they lost everything, they bounced back with vigor and determination. They have truly made a beautiful space both welcoming to travelers and puppies alike. The property is gorgeous, easily found and easy to access. It's also secured by a gate for peace of mind. Both Michael and Jenny were very present and active at the campground for anything and everything you could possibly need. They're both wonderful hosts and people. They are great to talk with, but also they respect privacy too. I highly recommend anyone with a desire to get away, maybe do some kayaking, tubing, fishing, relaxing or just getting away for a little bit, this is your place. I will definitely be coming back with my dogs! Thanks Michael and Jenny for making our father/son camping trip a lot of fun.

Highly recommend! We had an amazing weekend at rose creek! The hosts were so kind and helpful. We were able to spend some time with the them and they have a wonderful family! We enjoyed listening to and playing in the creek. 3 boys under 10 and a dog give it 5 stars! The adults loved it to. The creeks was beautiful and so peaceful. Such a calm surrounding. Close to parks and lovely waterfalls. Don’t hesitate to go!

Great RV park for a peaceful and quiet weekend in the middle of the mountains. Owners were around making sure we had everything we needed. They took us to the peak of the property for an amazing view of the sunset. Easy walk down to the river for some swimming, dog and kids had a blast. Highly recommended and we’ll be back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts are tremendous and the views are amazing. The site is full hookup and looked like it would be impossible to get level but we followed the hosts advice and we were level quickly without any blocks. Enjoyed the pool, horses and donkey.

TFC is a great spot! Jud was very welcoming and accommodating and the views from the top are next level. We had visited South Mountains State Park a few times previously and it's great considering how close it is to the Charlotte area. But TFC has even better views of the South Mountains and a pretty awesome river to play in. 30 min from several foothills towns worth exploring. Very easy camper hookup, nice flat spots, and a great facility with bathrooms and some extra seating for the great views. Thanks, Jud and family!

After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. There is an ice cream parlor too!! Another wonderful asset to Troutman is Daveste' Vineyard where there is live music often, and of course wine tastings! This beautiful vineyard is less than 10 mins away.
