Located 50 miles from midtown Manhattan (approx 1:08 minutes) is our brand new campsite located right off the Appalachian Trail. The camp is at the base of Wawayanda mountain right between the iconic hikes "Stairway to Heaven" and "Pochuck Boardwalk" on the Appalachian Trail. Hike right from camp up to "Pinwheel Vista" (named one of NJ's best viewpoints!) At the entrance to the property is the Valley Farmers Cooperative that sells local grass fed meats and artisanal farm goods. You can walk two minutes to Heaven Hill Farm which has plenty of goods, produce, and fun fall activities like pumpkin picking and haunted hayrides. Drive your car from route 94 directly to your campsite nestled in the woods with a great view of the valley. A perfect getaway from the city with plenty to offer. About 10 minutes down 94 is the beautiful town of Warwick or about 4 minutes in the opposite direction is the town of Vernon. Warwick is a quaint small town with plenty of great restaurants and bars, and famous for its apple picking. Vernon has plenty to offer as well including the popular ski resort/waterpark Mountain Creek and Minerals Spa (Located just under 10 minutes away.) The quiet charm of Wawayanda State Park appeals to hikers, campers, swimmers and boaters. Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Nature is calling! **History of The Awosting Club** In the mid 1950's John Atwater Bradley, then a graduate student, attended a conference in Cragsmoor, the site of a celebrated art colony not far from what is now the Awosting Reserve and The Awosting Club. The next morning at dawn, he went out for an exploratory hike and did not return until long after dark. Bradley hiked through evergreen and hardwood forests, along bubbling streams, roaring waterfalls and shimmering mountain lakes. He discovered an incredible wilderness like none he'd ever seen, populated by whitetail deer, black bear, fox, racoons, bobcat and coyote as well as a natural aviary of hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, eagles and pileated woodpeckers. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge. The Bradley family still maintain the property, and after 50 years of sharing the property with educational organizations, schools, artists, writers, explorers, camps, family and friends, are excited to invite others to fall in love with the Shawangunk Ridge as John Bradley had over 70 years ago. Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'

We had a great time. This is our second visit to your site. The platform tent is very comfortable for adults and the added classic tent gave us enough room for kids. We really appreciate the firepit, dishes, washing supplies, goats/chickens, and toilet/shower! The location in walking distance to Fahnestock is perfect! Good choice for low key outdoor weekend. Hope to see you again.

Weekend Trip to Hunterbrook Mountain

AMAZING! My husband and I had the best time at this campsite. We only came for a night but we left feeling so rested. We had the best sleep under the stars and the sound of the creek nearby. Stephen sets up the camp with everything you possibly need. Our pup had so much fun exploring and the grounds are kept nice and clean. We can’t wait to return. It’s such an easy drive for us - this might be our new fav spot!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Valley Homestead

My boyfriend and I had the perfect weekend staying in Kathleen’s Gypsy Vardo! Our host took every little detail into consideration. We felt so lucky to be able to enjoy such extraordinary scenery. The waterfall hike and swimming in the plunge pools was a memory. We will never forget. The Vardo was very comfortable and windows created a cross-breeze so we stayed cool, even in the middle of June. The bathroom facilities were clean and odorless. We also enjoyed the pond and using all the (included!) water toys. I loved being able to challenge myself and experience new things while also getting a much needed good, comfortable night sleep. I can’t wait to come back and bring friends. I feel I really blossomed there. What a joy to have met Kathleen. 10/10 trip. Zero complaints.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Valley Homestead

We loved our night at the mid evil enchantment site! We did misunderstand the listing and thought there were two ‘tents’ with a queen bed in each but the pictures are before/after. There were 4 of us so girls got the bed and our fiances each had a cot. Kathleen had come by and was so nice and even brought the guys sleeping bags! We brought the cots in the main tent and laughed about it until we fell asleep. This is my second stay, first being last summer at site 6 and we love the property. We have our eyes set on site 10 for our next trip 🙂 We love walking around and going down to the waterfall ! Having firewood on site was so convenient - we ran out after dark and easily walked to the main area to buy another bundle. We can’t wait to come back. Definitely a great time!

We had a great stay! The tent setup was absolutely adorable and thoughtfully put together. It was definitely buggy during our visit, but we were grateful that extra bug spray was provided. The restroom facilities were a wonderful addition and were clean and well-maintained. The hill is no joke, but the listing describes it accurately, so we came prepared. One of the highlights was meeting Evan, Laura, and their beautuful goats and chickens. Overall, a unique and enjoyable experience!

4 nights at Glamping @ Meadow Ridge Farm

Awesome site, lots of privacy! Convenient location with a stop and shop only 5 mins away if you need more supplies, however we still felt like we secluded from civilization when we were at the site. Wood was supplied free of charge. We left a day and a half early due to rain and Tiffany was kind enough to offer us a discounted rate for next time we come. Great host and great camp site!

I loved staying at Cabinita at Camp Luna, I went. horseback riding at Juckas Stables on trails, and made a short drive up to New Paltz, the camper was impecable, very clean and comfy, heat and hot water showers. Going back July 4th weekend for an extended stay plan to fish,kayak, and glider flight at Wurtsboro Airport.

This is a very beautiful campsite that is very accessible and a perfect experience for first time campers or anybody who just wants a relaxing getaway. There is a lovely trail up to the tent site, which is removed from the house and the road just enough to feel like you are out in the wild on your own. The tent itself is very comfortable filled with amenities. It’s like staying in a little hotel room. They have everything you need for camping. They even have a pretty fancy outhouse and shower situation. We didn’t get to visit the goats, but that was only because it was raining. I highly recommend this camping experience.!

1 night at Hidden Gem Glamp

Our experience at Heron on the Hill Glamping was incredible. The entire space is extremely charming, very well outfitted, and extremely welcoming. Activities abound! The host, Michelle, is extremely communicative, friendly, professional, and helpful both before our trip and during! There's plenty to do for the entire family, the tents were cozy, and for all of the camping necessities, they're taken up many notches to facilitate a more comfortable camping-experience (heated shower? Flushing porta-potties? Where else do you get that, right?) We'll be back :)

Kathleen’d property is adorable! I stayed at The Gypsy Rose Vardo for a night and was able to enjoy a little bit of everything. I swam in her pond very close to my cabin, went on a kayak and paddle board! There’s a 10 minute hike to a waterfall, which was so relaxing! And besides the great night sleep on a comfortable and cozy bed, after some wine by the brand new brazier, Kathleen’s kindness and clear instructions were what made the most difference for a great time in her property, to me!

I took the train from NYC Grand Central and got to Evan and Laura’s by a quick Uber ride! It was so lovely, comfortable, everything provided. They were fabulous hosts and super accessible when needed. It was the perfect getaway from the city, very much separate and in the woods while not feeling too isolated, close to water, hiking. I actually walked/hiked back to the train and even the road itself is a beautiful journey. Everything was easy and I would highly recommend staying here!
