We are excited to share the experience of what camping in this historic region of the Adirondacks is all about. Black Hole & Dunkley Falls campsite is located on an 80-acre old Adirondack farm. The Mill Creek runs along with this property, which features access to the scenic Dunkley Falls & The Black Hole — a cavernous geological anomaly. This famous swimming spot is a perfect place to test your nerve with a backflip off its 20 ft cliffs or just take a leisurely swim in the naturally formed glacier pool. Like to fish? This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. In 2020, my husband and I became the proud owners of Lake Home Farm. For many years my grandparents rented row boats at this campsite which brought so much joy to so many. We are located along one of the Heart of Vermont Bikeways, part of a network of bicycle routes known as Lake Champlain Bikeways, spanning the Lake Champlain Valley of Vermont, New York, and Québec. Not far away are Middlebury (home of Middlebury College) and Vergennes—both offering shopping, dining, and Amtrak service. Our land steward, Melita, is a retired landscape gardener who enjoys ecological landscaping and trail-making. A short walking loop takes you from the cottages to our lake access and up around the far meadow, which is in the process of being reforested. Resting benches are placed seasonally at the lakeshore and along the far meadow path. Swimming is not recommended, but access for experienced kayak and canoe users is available. Our shale beach is a picturesque, relaxing, and history-rich spot to while away the hours in your camp chair. Birders will enjoy an abundant variety of shore and inland species. Our land management objectives include conservation, forest restoration, and agriculture—fostering refuge and recovery for the land and its inhabitants: plants, pollinators, wildlife, and humans alike. A portion of our 100+ acre farm is leased to a neighboring farmer for hay production. Our non-commercial orchard is a thread of history connecting us to the nearby vibrant, commercially productive orchards that are part of Shoreham’s rich agricultural heritage.

This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. A low-key place to enjoy nature, rest, and reflect. The twin cottages at Hand’s Cove Orchard perch on the edge of Lake Champlain in Shoreham, Vermont. The property has hosted guests in seasonal cottages since the 1960s. The organically certified orchard was last operated around 2007. Since that time, a good portion of the apple trees has succumbed to disease and crowding by native and invasive species, though many continue to thrive and produce fruit—supporting a healthy and diverse wildlife population. Close by is Champlain Orchards, offering a farm market, cider garden, and PYO fruit. There are several other farm stands in the area offering locally produced vegetables, meat, eggs, maple products, and ice cream, as well as general stores and a hardware store within 20 minutes. We are located along one of the Heart of Vermont Bikeways, part of a network of bicycle routes known as Lake Champlain Bikeways, spanning the Lake Champlain Valley of Vermont, New York, and Québec. Not far away are Middlebury (home of Middlebury College) and Vergennes—both offering shopping, dining, and Amtrak service. Our land steward, Melita, is a retired landscape gardener who enjoys ecological landscaping and trail-making. A short walking loop takes you from the cottages to our lake access and up around the far meadow, which is in the process of being reforested. Resting benches are placed seasonally at the lakeshore and along the far meadow path. Swimming is not recommended, but access for experienced kayak and canoe users is available. Our shale beach is a picturesque, relaxing, and history-rich spot to while away the hours in your camp chair. Birders will enjoy an abundant variety of shore and inland species. Our land management objectives include conservation, forest restoration, and agriculture—fostering refuge and recovery for the land and its inhabitants: plants, pollinators, wildlife, and humans alike. A portion of our 100+ acre farm is leased to a neighboring farmer for hay production. Our non-commercial orchard is a thread of history connecting us to the nearby vibrant, commercially productive orchards that are part of Shoreham’s rich agricultural heritage.

I was a little nervous about the weather but it ended up being so cozy inside the Yurt with the snowfall outside. Mike’s Barn was exactly as advertised! A perfect and beautiful place to relax and listen to music (great record collection) and cook on an open fire right outside the barn. Great to have the freezer and working lights and bed and couches and the outhouse was pretty good for an outhouse and not that far even in the dark. The water from the spigot at the house is as delicious as described! Mike is an excellent host and great communicator. Would love to come back in winter!

Our two glamping tent sites are entirely set up and waiting for you with either full or queen size beds made up with soft plushy linens. This is not a campground. We do not rent campsites for setting up tents or RV parking. We host a small number of guests. We want our guests to experience a personal, positive and joyful immersion in nature while providing a completely set-up accommodation for you to be hosted with comfort. You will have access to the Cantina which is a fully equipped kitchen cabin. There are tables for dining and a shared campfire ring with relaxing Adirondack chairs and lots of firewood. There is also a large shared barbecue grill. Shared access to the full bath in our main farm building, Harmony House, serves as the primary facilities available. The property is 100 acres large. Hiking trails and beautiful views are yours to absorb. Your own private paradise! Each of the glamping sites includes a fluffy queen or full size bed all freshly made up for you with soft linens, comforters. They are securely perched inside a raised tent platform and wood frame that is fully screened in above the ground with latching door. Each has a deck and lounge chairs. The tents are large canvas cabins. All four sides can be completely rolled up for a wide open, screened in and close-to-nature glamping experience. Relax in peace. Fall asleep to the Bard Owls conversing in the trees. Awaken to nature's symphony of singing birds. Gaze out south at the green rolling pasture below and the beautiful mountains and landscapes of Vermont.
