The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

Various seasons will offer you an opportunity to pick your own breakfast in our maturing establishment. You can enjoy exploring, and examining our 7 year permacultuire food forest with chestnut seedlings already tall enough to climb , 10-foot hazels bearing buckets of nuts and a different selection of raspberries, blackberries, gooseberry, currents, golden berries, service berries and Mulberries. Enjoy a stroll through the meadow trail to breath in morning views and evening fireflies and stars. This camp area is very private but household amenities are not far away if desired. This site is much more private than Mickelberry Forest Garden Site and the beautiful mountain view is only a small step away. One mile away we offer nearby blue mark trails, mountain biking, lake and outdoor activities are at your fingertips and your hosts will be happy to provide any assistance needed to find or enjoy these opportunities. The Creamery (Ferris Acres) is one of the best farm ice cream shops in the East. We can provide breakfast upon request from our free range chickens on our kiwi lined deck with beautiful mountain views. Come and enjoy the croak of the bullfrog and the sound of the crickets. This campground was perfect for me as a first time camper. Clean, nice views, and a plenty of room. Tyler is great, came by and checked in on me, made sure I had fire wood. I can’t wait to come back here and camp again!!

Cool little spot. Cleanest port a potties I’ve ever seen. Lots of chairs and solid picnic tables (been to so many sites with the tables all rickety). Would definitely stay again.

My son and I appreciated the care they took to help us get settled, we were able to get all our needs met- water, our dog ran free, wood for the fire and a nice bed when I couldn’t get the hammock set up! We will definitely come back in the spring.

We had a perfect time at the orchard! Molly was the best host. She greeted us when we arrived and was always available. She also gave us firewood and water. The farm is beautiful and the camping spot is sequestered away from the main farm activities—it’s great. Would come back again anytime.

A lovely spot for simple, straightforward camping of any kind. I like that there's room for RVs, cars, tents, and hammocks. Having water and toilets nearby is another nice feature here. It was a perfect solution for my one night of very comfortable and convenient car camping.

Molly was very responsive and a pleasant host. Due to a miscommunication we were not at the orchard site so I can’t comment on that, we were at a big open field site. There was plenty of room and Molly provided wood and water and stumps to sit on by the fire. We were very happy about the orchard popup there in the morning to get cider and apple donuts! Very fun stop on pur bike packing trip through Westchester.

I love the Peconic River Campground. It's very quiet, peaceful, and the grounds are beautiful. The Peconic River / Forge Pond access from the property is picturesque. I love kayaking there, too. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. Tyler comes around daily to see if you need firewood. It's very low key, simple, and the port-a-potties were clean. It's all you need, nothing more, nothing less. I'll be back. I recommend it.

Our group of Boy Scouts loved tent camping at the farm. The setting was beautiful and quiet. Molly the host was super accommodating and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay. Amazing memories were made by all!

Beautiful campground with water, fire ring and table on site. There is an outdoor shower and porta potty’s as well. Tyler was very nice, periodically does his rounds to check on people and has firewood to sell if you need. I will definitely be back, me and my pup had a great time! Highly recommend!
