Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here for practice (or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it's typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! Don't forget to pack your life jackets for pond and river activities. We do not provide boats or any other water apparatus, and recreation is at your own risk. Luxury camping has a greater level of comfort and convenience, but it is still camping. This means the camp area can be affected by extreme weather, insects, heat, and noises in the area (dogs barking, neighbors mowing lawns, etc.) We work hard to ensure the most pleasant stay possible. There are mosquito screens on all windows (and under the cabin decking!), but insects can still find ways to creep in. Rainstorms can be quite loud on the metal roof of the cabin. The bath house is a short walk away down a gravel path, which may feel longer in inclement weather. Keep this in mind when booking as we don't refund for insect issues or undesirable weather conditions during your stay. We provide all linens and towels. You will have private access to a rustic outdoor kitchen in the bath house, a 10-second walk from the tent cabin. The kitchen is stocked with a small fridge, 2-burner stove, dishes and flatware, cutting board and knives, olive oil and salt. We also supply a charcoal grill, charcoal, and a lighter. We provide fresh-ground organic coffee and sugar, a French press, and a drip coffee pot. We also provide a fire ring, kindling, and firewood you can use to have a campfire during your stay. A wide variety of staples (including beverages (24 beers on tap!), sandwiches, and breakfast options) is available at Brookton's Market 2 miles down the road. Other things to note There is no Wifi at the cabin or bath house, and cell service is very spotty and somewhat dependent on your carrier. While there is electric service at the kitchen/bath house for charging phones and other devices, the cabin has no electricity. We provide some basic ambient lights and portable solar lanterns, but you may want to bring headlamps. The parking area is about 50-60 yards from the tent. There is a gravel path to walk on.

We are conveniently located just 15 minutes south of Downtown Ithaca, and only 5 minutes from Danby Food and Drink (local eatery and store). Explore many accessible hiking trails and endless woods, including a short walk to The Finger Lakes Trail. Everything at the Sanctuary was hand-built by your host, who lives in a separate dwelling nearby. Our "Tiny Home"/"Cabin" can be described as both rustic and luxurious. It stands alone (not attached to any other structures) and is private. It is a fully finished, one-room studio with beautiful, unique woodwork. There is a cozy, 'treehouse-like' lofted full-sized bed, and a couch below that can open into a bed. There are lots of big windows to let in natural light, fresh air, and beautiful forest views. This cabin has electricity and Wi-Fi included, as well as access to potable well water close by (as long as temperatures are above freezing). This tiny home has NO indoor plumbing. This tiny home has no shower facilities at this time (outdoor shower is pending). There is a private outhouse for your use, a separate structure close by with a composting toilet (basically a bucket with a sawdust system). If this is something that may make you uncomfortable, this space may not be a good fit for you.

Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: We host 6 Mototrial events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating is not your thing- no worries either. Non-event days are very laid back. On any given day if Trials riders come here for practice (or instruction with Mike) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring events), it's typically only 2-4 riders at a time. Multiple activities co-exist quite nicely here as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! This means the camp area can be affected by extreme weather, insects, heat, and noises in the area (dogs barking, neighbors mowing lawns, etc.) We work hard to ensure the most pleasant stay possible. There are mosquito screens on all windows (and under the cabin decking!), but insects can still find ways to creep in. Rainstorms can be quite loud on the metal roof of the cabin. The bath house is a short walk away down a gravel path, which may feel longer in inclement weather. Keep this in mind when booking as we don't refund for insect issues or undesirable weather conditions during your stay. We provide all linens and towels. You will have private access to a rustic outdoor kitchen in the bath house, a 10-second walk from the tent cabin. The kitchen is stocked with a small fridge, 2-burner stove, dishes and flatware, cutting board and knives, olive oil and salt. We also supply a charcoal grill, charcoal, and a lighter. We provide fresh-ground organic coffee and sugar, a French press, and a drip coffee pot. We also provide a fire ring, kindling, and firewood you can use to have a campfire during your stay. A wide variety of staples (including beverages (24 beers on tap!), sandwiches, and breakfast options) is available at Brookton's Market 2 miles down the road. Other things to note There is no Wifi at the cabin or bath house, and cell service is very spotty and somewhat dependent on your carrier. While there is electric service at the kitchen/bath house for charging phones and other devices, the cabin has no electricity. We provide some basic ambient lights and portable solar lanterns, but you may want to bring headlamps. The parking area is about 50-60 yards from the tent. There is a gravel path to walk on.

Plenty of space for cars and motorcycles. We offer 3 spacious all-season cabin tents, and a heated recreational cabin on the shore of a deep-water pond with a bonfire peninsula. We only have the one cabin, so you will have the entire space to yourselves, including the hot water showers, flush toilets, and outdoor kitchen at the nearby bath house. Luxury camping has a greater level of comfort and convenience, but it is still camping. This means the camp area can be affected by extreme weather, insects, heat, and noises in the area (dogs barking, neighbors mowing lawns, etc.) We work hard to ensure the most pleasant stay possible. There are mosquito screens on all windows (and under the cabin decking!), but insects can still find ways to creep in. Rainstorms can be quite loud on the metal roof of the cabin. The bath house is a short walk away down a gravel path, which may feel longer in inclement weather. Keep this in mind when booking as we don't refund for insect issues or undesirable weather conditions during your stay. We provide all linens and towels. You will have private access to a rustic outdoor kitchen in the bath house, a 10-second walk from the tent cabin. The kitchen is stocked with a small fridge, 2-burner stove, dishes and flatware, cutting board and knives, olive oil and salt. We also supply a charcoal grill, charcoal, and a lighter. We provide fresh-ground organic coffee and sugar, a French press, and a drip coffee pot. We also provide a fire ring, kindling, and firewood you can use to have a campfire during your stay. A wide variety of staples (including beverages (24 beers on tap!), sandwiches, and breakfast options) is available at Brookton's Market 2 miles down the road. Other things to note There is no Wifi at the cabin or bath house, and cell service is very spotty and somewhat dependent on your carrier. While there is electric service at the kitchen/bath house for charging phones and other devices, the cabin has no electricity. It was a rainy autumn afternoon when I showed up but perfectly cozy inside the hayloft, where I set up my hammock. Laurel got me acquainted with the many new amenities, as they seem to always be making wonderful upgrades to the property. Mike and Laurel's land is the perfect place for me to go when I don't want the hassle of setting up my tent and want a wall and roof and a little electricity. We had a delightful stay at campsite number two. While originally booked in campsite number one, Christine and her husband asked us if we would be interested in moving to site 2 and we are glad we did. It was a 24 square foot tent with a couch, all kitchen essentials, a fridge, lots of bedding, a trashcan, flashlights and a heater. Only thing that we were required to bring with the clothes and shoes. Everything else was either present or available to buy from the camp store. The store was filled with food items, ice creams, drinks bathrobe, spa packets, basically everything you would need on this getaway. Plus, they provide breakfast in the morning on the days of your stay, which is very filling and elaborate. In fact it was one of the highlights of our day to be having breakfast amidst such nice lush views. The stay also comes with a complementary night of using hot bathtubs, which is just a few steps away from the camp and is highly recommended. The walk behind the campsite into the forest is beautiful especially this time of the year as we could spot a lot of fall colors and leaves. In the morning, the camp is filled with chirps of the birds. The only hiccup during our stay was the incessant rain during night time and then some until the next afternoon. So next time we would take the rain insurance, but host fixed us with heater fuel amidst the heavy rain. It was really helpful. We enjoyed dinner just 20 min drive away in the town of town named Cooperstown.

Our experience at The Christmas Tree Farm Hidden Delight was absolutely wonderful. Mary was a fantastic host. She was friendly and thorough in her communication, even recommending places to enjoy in the area. We arrived later in the day and were thrilled that she had started a fire in the woodstove inside the tent and had also started a campfire for us. So very thoughtful and a fabulous surprise. The site itself is incredibly private with amazing views. The firewood she provided was dry and plentiful, a bonus since it was a bit chilly for much of our visit. It was great to be able to have the dogs off leash too. We enjoyed our time immensely and highly recommend the site. Thank you, Mary!

Heather’s glamping Yurt was perfect! The privacy was beyond amazing and the property was absolutely beautiful!! Heather was very responsive and available for any questions or needs that came up, although the site was so thoughtfully set up, we didn’t even find a need to ask for anything!! We loved discovering the rock wall behind our site and the sunset from that space was really neat. We utilised the farm store on the property for our morning eggs, they were fantastic!! Nothing like farm fresh eggs to start the day off right. We didn't get any milk or meat that was also available there but it was nice to know if we had wanted some, we wouldn’t have to go far to get it! The private heated shower and the flushable toilet will persuade any non-camping enthusiast to come out and discover how wonderful this experience is!! Fire wood is readily available just a hop, skip down from Site 2, where we stayed. Only one lil hop from site 1! I would highly recommend this Yurt camping experience to anyone!!!!!!!

Weekend Trip to Tryals Park Camp & Obstacle Course
Staying at Mike’s and Laurel’s property was an amazing getaway! Close to great food and cute towns, less than 5 minutes from an amazing state park, and less than a half an hour away from Ithaca and some of the finger lakes! We also had an absolute riding Trial Motorcycles for the first time! I recommend the scavenger hunt to get familiar with the property and the Trial biking course. Looking forward to our next stay!
