Hello and welcome to the Hillside Retreat camping site! We invite you to our beautiful retreat nestled in the heart of the Upper Delaware County countryside at the foothills of the Catskills near Callicoon, Hancock, Narrowsburg, Roscoe, Livingston Manor and Liberty. And we are 26 miles from Bethel Woods! Surrounded by rolling hills, lush forests, and sparkling streams, the Hillside Retreat is the perfect destination for nature lovers. There are plenty of opportunities for hiking on our trails (pick berries and apples in season!) or in a nearby location, fishing in the Delaware River (need a license!), kayaking/tubing and wildlife watching (don’t feed the bears!). We have eagles that live across the road! And at night, you'll be amazed by the stars twinkling in the sky as you make s’mores before drifting off into a great night’s sleep. For those who want to experience the great outdoors, the Hillside Retreat is a fully outfitted 10’ x 12’ canvas tent camping site with sweeping views of the Delaware Valley. The tent is situated with plenty of room to enjoy camping with privacy, peace and quiet. The site has a variety of amenities, including a queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress & fleece cover, table with chair, nightstands, a solar fan, rechargeable camping lamp, a fire pit with grill top (exempt from fire ban), a picnic table with benches, Adirondack chairs, bug sprays, exterior solar string lights, a five gallon potable water container our filtered mountain water, 2 sun showers, a camp stove, cookware/utensils/tableware, a pop up tent and a privacy loo tent for nature’s call. The tent is comfy for two adults. We also offer for rental a very nice glamping cot for a child or another adult. We offer bed linen (sheets, pillows and blankets), Yeti cooler (Tundra 45 and/or 110 Hard Cooler both with Yeti Ice Blocks) and cot RENTAL as well as eggs for sale. We provide firewood. No firearms or hunting allowed on premises. We are a CIGARETTE FREE property. Whether you're looking for a peaceful sojourn or an exciting outdoor adventure, the Hillside Retreat has something for everyone. We are thrilled to invite you to our beautiful egg farm and retreat nestled in the heart of the Upper Delaware County countryside along the foothills of the Catskills near Callicoon, Hancock, Narrowsburg, Roscoe, Livingston Manor and Liberty. And we are just 26 miles from Bethel Woods! Our small farm is home to happy, free-range chickens, quail, ducks, a goose, turkeys, and a Guinea Hen who produce delicious, fresh eggs. We take great pride in providing our birds with the best possible care, ensuring that they are healthy and happy. You can purchase our eggs on-site or reserve online for a taste of farm-fresh eggs from our organically fed birds. For those who want to experience the great outdoors, we offer the Hillside Retreat, a fully outfitted camping site with sweeping views of the Delaware Valley. Our tent is situated to be private with plenty of room to enjoy the great outdoors. Our Birch Meadow Retreat features a fully outfitted 10’ x 12’ canvas tent, perfectly positioned to offer peaceful views of the fields and forest across our 45-acre property. Inside, you'll find a comfy queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress, cozy furnishings, a solar fan, and a fire pit with a grill top to cook up delicious meals. We provide a picnic table, Adirondack chairs for lounging, potable mountain water, solar showers, cookware, a two burner camp stove,, cutlery and plates and glasses, and a privacy pop up loo tent for your convenience. Plus, enjoy the option of linen rental (NO PETS) and Yeti coolers (45 or 110 Tundra Hard) with YETI ice packs rental for your refreshments, along with complimentary firewood to keep your evenings warm. Please note the differences between linen rental and the regular set up (gray fleece mattress cover). We loved staying on Lydia and Roberts farm! Would highly recommend. They were great hosts, left very clear directions and the camp was in pristine condition. Would totally recommend!

Great stay
Birch Meadow Retreat
Had a great stay at the Birch Meadow Retreat! It was private, quiet, and comfortable. It had everything I needed. Lots of fire wood, space for my dog to run off-leash, a camp stove and things for cooking. The tent was cute and comfortable. Thanks for having me!

The Hillside Retreat
The views and the location are fantastic. Sitting around a fire in the early evening, trees ablaze with the setting sun's light. Waking to the sound of a rooster's crow, mist burning off the fields. Picturesque experience.

Birch Meadow Retreat
I can confidently say this place is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and at ease. The retreat is just a quick 2-minute walk from the car, making it super convenient yet wonderfully secluded, offering the perfect blend of accessibility and privacy. The star gazing at night was nothing short of spectacular—we spent hours marveling at the clear, vibrant sky and even captured some amazing photos that we'll cherish forever. The retreat was well-stocked with plenty of firewood, keeping us cozy and warm, and the thoughtful touch of fresh filtered water made our stay even more comfortable. Everything about Hillside Retreat was perfect—a true haven for relaxation and connection with nature. We can’t wait to return to this incredible spot! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful, unforgettable getaway.

The Hillside Retreat
We had a great time camping at Lydia and Robert’s Hillside Retreat! The spot was isolated with a beautiful view and is great for stargazing if the weather cooperates, which it did. It was very scenic and a great spot to bring your dog for off-leash playing. They provided all the necessary supplies and more, such as cooking supplies, tent and bed, we just had to bring our own linens. The site overlooked a meadow and was easy to get to, just be aware you have to walk up a hill to get there, and Lydia and Robert offered their help to carry our things. It’s a great spot for romantic getaways, so much so that my fiancé proposed to me while we were there!! We will be back!

The Hillside Retreat
The campsite is located up on a steep hill and it was so hard to carry our belongings. They don’t even provide the linens, you have to rent it for $35. It’s a quiet place and the view is nice.

Great camp site on top of a hill with beautiful views. Extra attention to detail provided by your hosts Lydia & Robert. As advertised, my dog was able roam off leash, which is important to me. I will certainly be back!
