1 night at Hosier`s Retreat

Great stay. Great place. Great people. Beautiful setting. Host went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. We appreciated the hospitality.

Steven is a great host. He was there to greet us. He gave options as to where we could setup. I was provide with info on the area and offered additional suggestions on things to do. He is conveniently located to beaches, some cute small towns and things to do including Niagara Falls . We had a great time at his place. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful site! Jason has thought of everything. The site is level and has 30 and 50 amp service along with full hookup of water and sewer. It's a great view and close to the 90 and 20 highways. It's on the middle of vineyard country - everywhere you drive are vineyards! It's really pretty. I suggest positioning your camper so you can view the sunset. It's nice, quiet and peaceful.

Our site was comfortable and secluded. We rented the two sites together with friends and it was great! The walk to the beach is short and well maintained. We loved searching for beach glass and enjoying the sunset on the lake. We definitely hope to come back.

Loved the non-traditional campsites (only 2) so they are spacious and you are not crammed together or lined up like a parking lot. They face each other, so if you are camping with friends or family, this is ideal. But we met some very nice people, so we weren’t bothered by having other campers nearby. There is still a good amount of space between the campsites. The canopy of tress was wonderful and the walk to Lake Erie is very close by.

My husband and I along with our two dogs enjoyed ourselves and cannot wait to go back! The hook ups were very convenient and worked as they should. The water pressure was amazing and the site level. Very nice trail along the creek and the beach was nice. The beach is rocky not sandy as I expected but we had fun. The sites would be fantastic as “buddy” sites! The host responds very quickly. I give this hipcamp five stars!

This place is great. Right on the water, my dog loved it. She especially loved the dog park. There's also a wind chime trail. So sweet and an easy hike. There was a lot of attention to detail all over the campground, from the cute little camp shop which is on a trolley, the kitchen area and adorable little gardens by each campsite. They had many glamping choices also if you don't have your own camper. We will definitely recommend this to family and friends.

East site at Steelhead Run was absolutely perfect. It provided a much needed relaxing weekend! It was very quiet all nestled in the trees next to Lake Erie. We enjoyed it so much that we booked again later in the summer.

This is the most clean and beautiful campground I've ever been to. Mal, Amanda, and Cheryl were the nicest and most helpful people. You knew they were there if you needed anything but left you alone to enjoy your stay. I just can't say enough about how wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful our stay here was. We will definitely be back and everyone should stay there at least once! John and Michele

Great spot! Creek behind you and lake in front of you. Small trail paths that lead out to each. The trail along the creek behind us was busy with fisherman and people walking- something to keep in mind especially if you have pets (ours barked every time someone walked past and even ran out to greet a couple of people with dogs. The 2 sites are quite close to each other so I recommend reserving both. The elevated platform with picnic table was great. It wasn’t as private as the photos make it seem as there are other campsites nearby but overall we would come back. Things to note: beach is rocky so bring chairs and water shoes, bring hose for the potable water.

Learn more about this land: This property is in Orchard Park. It is two acres, surrounded by trees and a fence on three sides, which provides good privacy. There is a large parking area with 15a electrical available for small campers or small trailers. Also a hose is available to fill water. Alternatively, I have two great tent spaces at the back of the property with a private areas to set up tents. There is a (shared) campfire stonepit at the back of the property. Split firewood is available for $5.00 per armload. Campers can take this from the firewood pile. Chestnut Ridge park is a 7 minute drive. It has great trails, including the Eternal Flame Hike, and a large fishing pond. Green lake is also nearby with fishing and a good place for paddle boarding or kayaking. The property is .5 mi from Bills Stadium. Lake Erie and its beaches are a 15 minute drive. Niagara Falls is 30 min. Downtown Buffalo is 20 min. There are walkable restaurants nearby (about .5 to 1 mi). An indoor restroom is available at specific hours (typically 4pm-8:30 am) or if arranged in advance outside those hours. No shower is available.
