1. Lift seat to place a filter over the opening to catch solids. Toilet paper is disposed of in the toilet.
The lever on the side can be opened to allow solids to pass through into the lower half, and closed again to hide the contents.
2. After use turn the lever on the side ( ) to open solids container.
3. When finished close the opening in the bowl. Then, turn the handle on the ( ) side to mix solids and peat moss. Shut lid and leave. NO FLUSHING IS NEEDED.
The only things that should go into your composting toilet are your poos and pees and toilet paper.

Beautiful desert land with a view of Hueco Tanks State Park. This land is barely starting up so do not expect any glamping or 5 star facilities. There is electricity for RVs or window units for tents. There's also a porta potty. There is a little trash here and there but I am working on cleaning this place up. Be patient and enjoy it for what it is. All natural! Be safe, this is the desert and home to critters, spiders, horned frogs, lizards, ants, cayotes, and probably snakes although I haven't seen any. There is a little shed where you can cook, get some shade, or just relax. The mesquite trees are being worked on so they are not big enough to provide decent shade. Be safe, be smart and have water with you at all times. There is no water, and no showers. But I am working on it! This spot is perfect for those hip campers visiting Hueco Tanks and need a spot to park or rest. It's for hip campers that are used to primitive camping and also to the people in the city that want to get away for a night or two but not drive too far out. The sunsets and stargazing are amazing. Far from the city but close enough to a 10 min drive to a grocery store.

Beautiful desert land with a view of Hueco Tanks State Park. This land is barely starting up so do not expect any glamping or 5 star facilities. There is electricity for RVs or window units for tents. There's also a porta potty. There is a little trash here and there but I am working on cleaning this place up. Be patient and enjoy it for what it is. All natural! Be safe, this is the desert and home to critters, spiders, horned frogs, lizards, ants, cayotes, and probably snakes although I haven't seen any. There is a little shed where you can cook, get some shade, or just relax. The mesquite trees are being worked on so they are not big enough to provide decent shade. Be safe, be smart and have water with you at all times. There is no water, and no showers. But I am working on it! This spot is perfect for those hip campers visiting Hueco Tanks and need a spot to park or rest. It's for hip campers that are used to primitive camping and also to the people in the city that want to get away for a night or two but not drive too far out. The sunsets and stargazing are amazing. Far from the city but close enough to a 10 min drive to a grocery store.

Take NM 549 to Franklyn Road. Head south 2.5 miles to El Bordo Rd then head East 1.5 miles to Mito Road. USE THE GPS.
The property located in Luna County about 45 minutes from West of Las Cruces NM, it's a rural countryside setting off Franklyn Rd about 20 minutes SE of Deming.
I suggest you bring a dedicated GPS like a Garman and more reliable then your phone. Be smart print out map, bring a shovel, water, food blankets, mace, a dog and anything else you might need if you get stuck for a day or two.

The quarry trucks that Larry mentions in the description did start to go by around 6:30am, but we were camping on a weeknight and were grateful for the heads up. This RV site is great. The camp sites were clean and everything worked appropriately. There is WIFI for the entire camp site. It worked well and we were able to stream the Super Bowl online. Ray's RV spots (we stayed in Site 2) are really great. As brand-new 21-foot inTech travel trailer owners after decades of car and tent camping, we've rapidly discovered that private sites like this that provide all 3 hookups of electric, water and sewer are rare. The expansive land amidst the pecan trees and mourning doves is peaceful, quiet and private. The location is really easy on and off I-10 (but no traffic noise at the site) and conveniently close to both El Paso and Las Cruces. Ray was responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend!
