We are excited to share our little A-frame cabin in the woods! The cabin is quite rustic ( and quite cute). Think of it like glamping -- outhouse, wood burning stove, dirt roads, and beautiful trees and mountains included. ** To keep the cabin affordable, all guests are responsible for cleaning up the cabin at the end of the stay and making it ready for the next guest. There are no cleaners coming in after you. ** The cabin is a 432 square foot A-frame in a small mountain community, which is surrounded by the Jemez National Forest. There are a few places to hike right from the front door, and many, many trailheads within a 20 minute drive. Fenton Lake is a short drive away, and the San Antonio Hot Springs is a 2.5 mile hike, bike, or ski away right out the front door for the confident adventurer. Located 1.5 hours from Albuquerque and Santa Fe, a few miles off of NM-4 between the town of Jemez Springs and the Valles Caldera National Preserve. This A-frame was quite an interesting drive from Santa Fe. I don’t think we would’ve made it without our 4 wheel drive. The cabin was beautiful and Clean. We love the wood burning stove. Overall it was a great stay for a quick evening getaway from it all!

Great little house with all of the basic amenities someone looking for a place not too rustic would love. Harvey was extremely friendly, and gave us any and all of the privacy we could want. The dirt roads are pretty bumpy, so if you come in a standard height car take it slow.

A great retreat into the mountains. We hiked from the cabin and also drove to and hiked in Valles Caldera. Magical location. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin amenities were good. Just take care driving on the unpaved road up to the cabin. Stay center when possible to avoid ditches on the right.

We had such an awesome stay at this cozy cabin!! It was very peaceful, private, and a perfect spot to unplug. Jen made everything simple and stress-free. The deck was our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening stargazing!! Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

Beautiful views and quiet. Quirky property with a cemetery (campsite is behind it near the edge of the mesa). The road to the site is rough and definitely requires higher clearance and 4WD/AWD. We made it up slowly in our electric mid-size SUV, not without a few sketchy bumps underneath. I couldn’t imagine a sedan having great success up the road (big rocks, big dips and eroded areas, and mud in areas after a rain). Just FYI!

The perfect place to get away. No Wi-Fi, no cell service, which means you have everything you need at this sweet little cabin to take you away from life’s distractions. The Edge was such a fun and funky place to stay! It’s about 1.5 miles from town so is quiet and up on the mesa—great for sunsets. The Land of the Dead was a nice treat as well, make sure to spend time there, looking at all the graves. Kim was a very gracious host, communicable and kind. Would stay here again!

Jen’s cabin was perfect for a quick escape from the dust! The smell of the pine trees as we opened the car door on arrival was fabulous, and the cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing overnight retreat. We brought blankets with us and made a bed under the stars for the AMAZING night sky; even saw a shooting star, the sky was so clear. Enjoyed reading Jen’s memoirs of the time and work she and Zac have put into the place. We would definitely come back.

It's a magical locale. The views are spectacular. I enjoyed everything about camping here. Kim S is a great host and gave me clear directions. I appreciated that she checked in to see how I was doing. I'm bummed I missed the concert on the stage. Music under the stars in the "Land of the Dead" which is really a more alive location than the lives many people live hustling around in chaotic lives. I'll be back.
