I offer dog sitting while you soak at Ojo, healing modalities that you'll find in the Extras section, and my dear neighbor Jackie takes appointments for massages with homemade essential oils. +++ 6 miles to Ojo Caliente Hot Springs. There you will find the best restaurant in the area, with locally/organically farmed produce. The land is naturally and beautifully wild- it is not a manicured campsite. The dirt rd down to the property is best suited for higher clearance vehicles, but is manageable for city cars. With land by the river comes the mosquitos- June to August only. They are predominantly active during sunrise and sunset; long loose fitting clothes and a repellent work great. Waterhole, Waterfall and climbing sites near by, as well as Plaza Blanca, Abiquiu, Ghost Ranch and the Taos Gorge are 30 mins drive away. *No cell service in the greater area. 2 nights at Casa de KAMA (The Silo)

Very cute little place. Nice private location, but easy to find. Pat is very kind. There were a few things in the Silo that didn't work upon arrival. Pat brought in the maintenance man, but was unable to fix them during our stay. Thanks for putting in the effort. The bed is very firm but we found it very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and linens situation. Porches are really nice for enjoying the views. We would definitely stay here again.

This was my second stay at the same site, and it was just as magical and fantastic as the first one! Diana's communication was clear and helpful. The amenities such as bathroom, kitchen shed and hot tub were all kept clean and in great shape. And last but not least, the area where the property is located is JUST so amazingly beautiful and peaceful, with fall colors still adding more charm. I look forward to another stay!

Great little house with all of the basic amenities someone looking for a place not too rustic would love. Harvey was extremely friendly, and gave us any and all of the privacy we could want. The dirt roads are pretty bumpy, so if you come in a standard height car take it slow.

Weekend Trip to Casa de KAMA (The Silo)

Pat was responsive to all our questions before and during our stay, and we appreciated her flexibility. Our concern about a gas smell turned out to be an unlit pilot light on the stove, and that was easily remedied. We also wondered if a silo would be drafty--but it wasn't. We were there in early October, and the view of the surrounding Chama River Valley was beautiful. We loved the Silo and would stay there again!

5 nights at Elk Ridge Ranch

Excellent campsite to give you a wonderfully rural retreat in the hills, with fast and easy access to Albuquerque and all it offers. Excellent full hook up facilities, flat gravel pad, looks towards the hosts home but far enough away for privacy. And the hosts were super nice and welcoming. Huge pool / artificial lake you can swim in and beautiful Elks to wonder at. And you can purchase fresh meat from the very ranch on which they were reared. This is what “Hipcamping” is all about and we would return again, and again, and it will be our go to place if and when we are back in the area.

Beautiful views and quiet. Quirky property with a cemetery (campsite is behind it near the edge of the mesa). The road to the site is rough and definitely requires higher clearance and 4WD/AWD. We made it up slowly in our electric mid-size SUV, not without a few sketchy bumps underneath. I couldn’t imagine a sedan having great success up the road (big rocks, big dips and eroded areas, and mud in areas after a rain). Just FYI!

Weekend Trip to Balloon Fiesta Ranch Oasis

We actually ended up staying at another one of the owner's locations that was beautiful. We had a big group and there was plenty of room for all of us. It was surrounded by big shade trees and next to a large field of LLamas. It was only about a 15-minute bike ride to the Balloon Fiesta. I would highly recommend this site!
