We are excited to share our little A-frame cabin in the woods! The cabin is quite rustic ( and quite cute). Think of it like glamping -- outhouse, wood burning stove, dirt roads, and beautiful trees and mountains included.
** To keep the cabin affordable, all guests are responsible for cleaning up the cabin at the end of the stay and making it ready for the next guest. There are no cleaners coming in after you. **
The cabin is a 432 square foot A-frame in a small mountain community, which is surrounded by the Jemez National Forest. There are a few places to hike right from the front door, and many, many trailheads within a 20 minute drive.
Fenton Lake is a short drive away, and the San Antonio Hot Springs is a 2.5 mile hike, bike, or ski away right out the front door for the confident adventurer.

This glamp zone occupies only 1.25 acres. Part of our mission in creating this space is to bring folks together. We encourage campers to mingle. Maybe organize a group float down the Chama. The float from just above Bodes to our very own shore is wonderful. It takes about two hours. There is one challenging spot, but beside that, the float is calm and tranquil.
Please be aware, we have cats, chickens, goats, donkeys, horses and dogs that live on the property. Your pets are welcome only if they are guaranteed to not pester or hurt our posse of pets. Also, we will not tolerate excessive barking or inappropriate running around or bothering ourselves or other guests. You must pick up all your and your pets waste and take it with you when you leave.

1 night at Creekside Glamping Tipis on Off-Grid, 70 Acre Working Ranch
What a magical, one-of-a-kind place. Staying in the tipi was an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time. It was cozy, comfortable, and surprisingly sturdy—we stayed perfectly dry through a monsoon storm!
The location is absolutely beautiful, but what truly made our stay special were Deb and Gil. They are incredibly generous, welcoming hosts who invited us to a barbecue with their friends. We spent the evening swapping travel stories and enjoying wonderful conversation, and it felt less like staying at a rental and more like visiting old friends.
We also had breakfast at Deb’s restaurant, Chile Line Depot, and it was fantastic—the perfect way to end our stay.
We can’t recommend this place highly enough. If you’re looking for something whimsical, memorable, and unlike anywhere else, this is it. 10/10—we’ll absolutely be back.

Weekend Trip to Sleeping Bear Canyon
Incredible! What a sweet little oasis. Nikki and Michael were very welcoming and responsive. It was quite a ways off the path and a great place for a few days stay. I wish I had the time to spend and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
This place was healing for the short time I was blessed to be there. A beautiful creek, hiking trail, cozy bed and a sweet puppy.
Nikki also offers guided tours and they would be a great way to experience the energy of the land.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, I hope to be back again!

Weekend Trip to Juniper Mesa Camp
I had a wonderful stay. The place was clean, comfortable, and the service was excellent. The host was very kind and made me feel welcome throughout my visit. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add air conditioning or improve the ventilation, as it got a bit warm at times. Other than that, everything was great, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved it at Javali! We stayed in the Blue Bird, a darling vintage camper just steps from the river. It had everything that my daughter and I needed for a comfortable stay, plus a wonderful outdoor shower! The view was stunning, especially sunrise. Robin and her wife were so kind, and let us hold the baby goats and chickens, and showed my daughter how to feed the donkeys and the horse. This campground is nestled among cottonwoods, with lots of wildlife...we even saw elk on the other side of the river. Across the road is a lavender farm, with a small cafe. We were a short drive from Ghost Ranch, where we went on a trail ride. Totally recommend to anyone who wants to have a taste of paradise.

Kate’s yurt was such a fun stop. I wish we had two nights now! We came in around sunset and the views from the spot were so beautiful. The yurt is fantastic. There is a camping stove (we used it for coffee and heated up some bagged beans for nachos), plates, cutlery, and cups, a hand washing basin, a berkee.. it’s like fancy camping.
Although we didn’t need to use the shower, it looked like a fun setup. The outhouse was clean and innovative yet simple.
I’d recommend the yurt when it’s not so hot. We had a battery fan we ended up getting out of the truck to get some air flow. There are windows on the yurt you can roll up, too.
We also had our dog, he loved it.
Highly recommend! Oh and Kate’s directions were flawless. We have an older Tacoma, but any car can make it up the hill.

Pat’s silo is exactly what I look for in a place to stay. Off the beaten path, quietude, astounding views of the mountains, safe and secure, thoughtfully designed and built with creativity and care. I can’t say enough good things about it. Great spot for all the day trip adventures you can make in the area, and also perfectly quiet place to stay inside and read and look at the mtns. Pat herself is a very kind host who knows the area well. You will not regret staying here, worth it. Also night sky views are outstanding, Milky Way is visible on dark nights.

The host Kate is wonderful - very communicative, quick to respond, super helpful & kind & absolutely delightful! She went out of her way to make it feel like home & I didn't want to leave! I will definitely return!!

Truly special slice of heaven. We couldn’t believe how well stocked the tipis and campsites were. The host was friendly and gracious. The animals (horses, cows, muskrats, prairie dogs, magpies and a dog and cat) were charming. We can’t wait for a chance to return.

My 3 kids and I had such a lovely evening! The yurt was as cozy and welcoming as the pictures! We had everything we needed and even buckets of hot water for the outdoor shower. Kate even sent a little video to help us find the spot so it was easy to find too! Definitely recommend!!!

When we pulled up we were welcomed with a glowing smile and invitation to enjoy our campsite. Set along a pristine creek, with trees for shade, BBQ grill with a gas burner, firewood to burn, hose that we could drink from and an outdoor bathroom. For the 10 of us there, ranging from 3-70 years, we all loved the magical site. About 25-30mi from Abiquiu Lake, about 4mi on a dirt road. Having grown up for part of my childhood in this area, I was astounded to stay in this lush valley, a secret special space that you would never expect around the corner. Highly recommend staying with Nikki and her hubby Michael. Enjoy!!!

Had a wonderful stay at the yurt! Being surrounded by all the beautiful landscapes and experiencing the great energy of the land was a blessing! Kate’s hospitality was also very awesome, she is a wonderful host! Would love to go back and stay again. Grateful to have spent time there.
