In the heart of the pinelands, GTDC provides a beautiful ground for campers to enjoy the outdoors and experience new things like boating, hiking, and more. Nestled outside the village of Stillwater, NJ right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins: > Bell's Cabin- Main cabin that sleeps up to six > The Chatham House- Sleeps up to ten > Chief's Cottage- sleeps up to ten All cabins have their own separate listing and can be booked together or combined. The main cabin, Belle's Cabin, is made from hand hewed logs and is the only cabin furnished with a king size bed. All cabins come equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, and the main cabin has a walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins have climate controlled heating/cooling units as well as hot water. Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life. The camp consists of 13 acres abutted by 100's of acres of state park land. There are two stocked ponds connected by a cascading stream, multiple fire pits with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables, and multiple park benches located throughout the property. Located right on the Wading River, you just can’t get any further into the New Jersey Pinelands unless you choose to rent a canoe or kayak (right at the campground, of course!) and paddle downstream to one of the many secluded picnic spots along the riverbanks. We had such a GREAT TIME at Great Times Camp! Bathrooms and parking are a short walk away from the cabins. The camp is private and quiet with plenty of room for our large group. Will was helpful and prompt with answering any questions. We will definitely be back!

Had a blast with a bunch of friends. Decent size piece of land with a lake/pond. We used 2 cabins. Plenty of picnic tables to use. Bathrooms are only a short walk from the cabins. Will was very accommodating. I'm sure we will be back.

I recently spent a weekend at Great Times Camp Ground through Hipcamp, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and totally immersed in nature—yet with every comfort I needed. What stood out: • Peaceful & Scenic Setting The campsites are nestled in beautiful woods, with plenty of privacy. Waking up to birdsong and filtered sunlight through the trees immediately recharged me. • Well-Kept Grounds & Amenities The entire site is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. Paths are easy to find, sites are level and spacious, and facilities (restrooms, water points, etc.) are all in good shape. It strikes a great balance: rustic enough to feel like real camping, but convenient enough to feel comfortable.

Entire campground was very clean with lots of activities, a fishing pond and a river to float down. The cabin had ample room and my pups were welcome. We even pitched a tent right outside for my son to camp out. The store was huge and had everything you could possibly need or want so you don’t need to leave the site.

Weekend Trip to Great Times Camp Ground

Great times was exactly what we needed! We had a group of 18 people and everyone had an amazing time. There was plenty of space for everyone to set up camp and tons of equipment for playing games (soccer, basketball, gaga, etc). The sprinkler area was perfect for cooling off after playing games in the hot sun. The surrounding area is great too for a more casual camping experience, as there are plenty of shops and restaurants within driving distance. All in all, I highly recommend Great Times Campground.

Great times! Beautiful spot, love having the place to ourselves to let the kids and dog run around. Just a note that there is a walk from the parking area to where you'll set up your tent - it's flat, and they leave a big cart to help you move stuff.

Plenty of beautiful space on the property! The ponds are a particularly a wonderful and beautiful feature (good for fishing!). The campfire area is shared between the three cabins. Very close to good hiking, Delaware Watergap Area and 20 minutes from downtown Newton.

We had an excellent time staying at Bell’s Cabin. David was a great host and the property is beautiful. We are already talking about when we can visit again. Our trip was very relaxed, playing board games and enjoying the cabin fireplace. The full kitchen was clean and well-stocked with equipment. The cabin was very comfortable, with multiple nice beds and a very nice bathroom. It’s clear that the property is well-taken care of. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxed and comfortable time in the woods.

We really loved David's Camp! Everything was beautifully designed, maintained and clean. David greeted us in person and gave us a jar of food to feed the fish in the pond which our toddler absolutely loved. The entire campsite is a labor of love and had a nice human touch that we appreciated. Hope to be back in the summer!
