Cute little cabin nestled in Tahoe National forest . This little gem is on an acre of land surrounded by national forest land. Close enough to Lake Tahoe to get to but also away from the Tahoe chaos. Host lives on property , but will most likely be out and about most of the day. There are two neighbors but both own 20 acres so you can not see them, feels very private. The front of the property where the cabin is located there will be some highway noise being close to highway 20 , especially during a busy weekend. you can’t hear highway noise while in the cabin and towards the back of the land. However it is nice to be so close to highway 20 because it leads to several different destinations. ( west : Nevada city. east: towards Tahoe, and both directions there are soo many lakes/ rivers ) Tiny house: •Full sized futon downstairs and king sized mattress in loft. Camp WAN-NA-B is a great place to get away in the forest. Property backs up to the national forest, walk to Bear River. Learn about off grid living and camping, water systems and compost toilets or just enjoy your time in the forest. A great place to star gaze. There are many great places to hike, take a dip in the Bear River or just relax by the creek and unwind from the city life. Just a short walk to the Bear River. A small stream runs right through the property. You may even book the stream site to enjoy it close up. A very short drive to Emerald Pools, Lake Spaulding and South Yuba River. Truckee or North Shore Lake Tahoe just 30-40 minute drive for a day trip. There is also a great eatery just up the road, right off Highway 80, if you are interested in a lunch out. What ever you came to the forest for, it is all waiting for you at Camp WAN-NA-B at Bear Valley., forest therapy! This area is know for gold panning and we are located right down the road from a historical gold mine, Donner Mine Camp. This land is new to Hipcamp. This land is being shared for the first time and owner has been enjoying it for over 20 years. Forget the crowded campgrounds, come share a little piece of paradise right in the forest.

Weekend Trip to Magical Lost Sierra Bungalow!

Staying at this magical little cabin in the woods was everything you could ask for and then some. We had a great time just enjoying the quietness of the area and just the sounds of the Yuba river. The cabin was beautiful and just felt like staying in a piece of history with how beautiful it was inside and out. Stay here and you wont regret it, only that you didnt book a longer stay.

The camp host came out to meet each arriving party and guide them to their spot (as most of us rolled in after dark). Later she started a bonfire, and for the next couple of hours folks congregated in small groups talking about where they had been and where they were going. Very enjoyable social experience. Cooking facilities were excellent. They are outdoor, but it does not often rain here. Wind was moderate the night I was there. Two bathrooms (flush toilets and running water) quite close to the campsites.

The tent site was perfect; it was very peaceful, with wonderful views in all directions. Wendy was super and offered to get us extra wood for the fire since the wood on site was a bit moist from recent rain. We would definitely camp here again!

This is an incredible property with an incredible host! I camped at Willow springs, and really enjoyed the lushness of the willows, the privacy, and watching the Beavers, Owls and Hawks. I also stayed a week in Tiny Blue which was a little slice of heaven!! I loved all the books, the view and it was super comfy! The tiny kitchen and bathroom nearby were absolutely perfect and I didn't need to leave the property for anything for many days. Wendy is so enthusiastic and hands on, you can really tell she loves what she does and has built a beautiful sanctuary for artists, writers, creative types and those that are in need of some sanctuary. I Especially encourage women who are Solo camping to spend some time at this beautiful location! I can't wait to come back next year!🌀

This is the most incredible property, with the most incredible host! A peaceful sanctuary that allows one to get back in alignment with their own self in a lovely natural setting. I HIGHLY recommend for women on a healing journey, artists and writers needing to clear out blocks, or spiritual seekers in need of some sanctuary! This place has all the "magicalness" of Sedona & Mt. Shasta! A yearly visit is now on my calendar in order to give myself a much needed retreat! Camping at Willow woods was beautiful and private and I loved watching the Beavers, Owls, and Hawks. I also stayed at Tiny Blue, which was so comfortable, had beautiful views, and lots of cool outdoor sitting areas. The tiny kitchen had everything I needed and gave me the luxury of staying for an entire week! You can tell that Wendy loves being a host and believes in the sanctity of what she has created here, and it's reflected in every detail of the property itself and within her personal enthusiasm! This truly is a "choose your own adventure" experience!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars!

Pinenut’s land was excluded, surrounded by a creek and the stars in the evening were Incredible! The owner met us when we arrived introduced us to their family and shared the history of the land and how it all came to be. We were welcomed with real hospitality, which was wonderful to experience during our specific time traveling the west. Ample wood, how water shower and grill with cooking tools provided. The fire pit was the best, we were looking for an all night fire, and were able to have one. The space we stayed felt comfortable and safe, as if we were in a sphere of our own world. The owners had a table , chairs and bell tent available. I enjoyed the friendly encounter, and helpful check in from the owner, and made sure we had everything we needed. I do know that I’ll be back to connect with the land as it’s all been blessed up after our stay. I recommend this spot for a couple wanting a cool experience, I can only imagine how beautiful it will be in spring time. We stayed in October, the fire kept us warm. The fire pit was the main highlight for us. Felt welcomed to be there, Pinenut land has great history and a good spot to have a sacred experience being under the stars and the beauty of the creek flowing at night. 10/10. Warrior

The cabin was great and a serene location! Everything was clean and as stated. We ended up sleeping on the futon as the loft seemed a little risky (no guard rail), something to keep in mind if you have little ones. We would happily visit again.

I loved staying at Tiny Blue! The solace was much needed and the space is comfortable with incredible views. The beaver pond is very sweet and the resident llama is awesome. Wendy gave very clear directions and is available if anything comes up. There’s even an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit! I will be staying here again!

Deana’s place is perfect for anyone looking for private glamping in Nevada City that’s far enough from town to feel like a recalibrating retreat. I loved all the privacy and having so much space to let my dogs roam around the property without having to worry about interrupting anyone. As others have mentioned, the mosquitos are bad. We brought a couple thermacell’s with us and they eventually helped. We only noticed them at dusk.
