Learn more about this land:We are a high desert setting with 78 acres here. There is a huge lake with trees all around it. Kayaking and canoeing is allowed on the lake but it's not swimmable, sadly. There is nearby access to hiking and off road trails. In addition, we are located about 15 minutes from Pyramid Lake, a huge desert lake where there is boating, swimming, and picniciking. We are also an event center for weddings, and other events! come join us on our beautiful propety!

Some days we watch the electric storms across the valley, other afternoons we picnic and nap while listening to the birds and wind. We love the peace and silence, which feels remarkably remote and only 20 minutes from Reno.

Thank You Christina. Though I had an Adventure getting there, it was Well worth it. The View is Spectacular. I should have taken more Pictures. Peaceful and Quiet. And not many People. New to RVing, and Retirement, And gaining experience Driving my Tacoma and 16 ft Trailer, cause getting there Tested my Truck, my Trailer, And Me. It was an Adventure. And really not that bad. Thanks again Christina. And will certainly visit again.

We loved our stay at Christina's land. It was easy to find with the directions Christina sent us and the campsite set up was great. We were on a long road trip so this was the perfect spot to stop for the night before we continued on. The views were incredible - we lucked out in having amazing clouds during the day, a great sunset and beautiful star gazing at night, couldn't have asked for more! It was very private, we never saw anyone other than some kayakers passing by, but it also felt very safe. It got very windy at night so be prepared for that and the beach down at the lake is very rocky but a great place to explore. We'd definitely come again!

Christina is very kind and was always attentive to any questions.
The place is easy to find by following the directions and Google Maps.
Once there, the view is amazing, and it’s also very easy to follow the hiking trail to the lake. We had an incredible experience!

The Model Farm was an oasis in the desert. I’m from the East Coast and it was refreshing to camp on the pond and hear such vibrant birdlife after several weeks on the road. The site is just outside of town so it’s a convenient location to resupply if you’re on a longer trip!

Fun night at the Model Farm. Rustic but charming, highlighted by the pond full of ducks and all the birds! Julie and Tom were flexible about where we wanted to set up - we chose across the pond as a windbreak and for more privacy. Yes, there are a lot of dogs, but after their raucous welcome, no problem with sound or interfering with our dog. Thanks for your hospitlity!

Such a peaceful spot! The view over the lake was gorgeous, especially at sunset, and I loved how quiet it was at night. The dirt road was a little bumpy, but totally worth it.
