This region is home to many longstanding ranches but ours is a little unique for the area. We are a vegetable market garden with a large flock of laying hens for eggs and we also raise and process farm grown chicken. Our goal is to feed our community a bright variety of fresh and healthy food. We farm above and beyond organic standards, following regenerative practices with nature, not against it.Learn more about this land:Located just 1.3 miles off US HWY 12 on Spring Creek Road, best access to the Little Belt Mountains and endless public land in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. Nothing fancy, but that's not what you come to the mountains for. Unload your ATV or UTV and explore, wander, hike and hunt the public lands to your hearts desire (we are not giving hunting, fishing or access permission on any private land owned by us, or any other private land owners). There is plenty of wildlife, be bear aware, keep all food, especially meat, safely stored and locked. Rock climbing is NOT PERMITTED.  This is Montana and the weather can be it's own beast.  Be prepared for all circumstances, snow, rain, wind, heat, it's all more extreme here.

Learn more about this land: Our property is in a close proximity to the Fairweather Fishing access on the Missouri River. Camping is not allowed at the access so we would be the closest camping site to this great outdoor playground. There is opportunity for fishing, floating, boating, hunting and swimming in the summer . There are groves of mature trees and open sites available. This is directly off of paved county road. The property adjacent to ours has the original ranch house and barn and other outbuildings that were part of the Ponderosa Pine Ranch which owned most of the valley we're in. The ranch house and buildings were divided away from our part of the property several years ago, so we have our home here and what was mostly pasture. The campsites are all pasture grass with trees for shade. We do not have cell phone service here. We have one site that has 30 amp electricity. Also we do not have trash service .

As opposed to the thousands of runoff creeks in Western Montana, the unique Trout Creek Canyon has one of the few spring fed streams. It's rather large volume of water flows from several groups of canyons and drainages in the Little Belt mountains, bubbling out of the ground six miles up at the foot of the beautiful Vigilante canyon and terminating in the Missouri River three miles further down. Over the last 150 years a  number of gold and silver mines have operated in the gulches at the side of the canyon. A pictorial history is available at the community park and in the social hall. If you're lucky you might even still see a few mountain goats on your way up the canyon.

Bridger Vista Camp — Private Pastureland Escape with Mountain Views Welcome to your own private slice of Big Sky Country. Bridger Vista Camp offers a one-of-a-kind, single-site stay surrounded by sweeping pastureland and framed by the dramatic ridgelines of the Bridger Mountains. With no other campers in sight, the space is entirely yours — wide open, peaceful, and beautifully simple. At the center of the site is a stamped concrete pad, perfect for meals, lounging, or watching the light dance across the peaks. A rustic wooden spool table adds a bit of character (and makes a great spot to set your morning coffee or evening beverage of choice). You’ll wake to birdsong, breathe in the clean Montana air, and end the day with unobstructed stargazing across a horizon that never seems to end. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or just looking to unplug, this is the kind of place that invites you to slow down and soak it all in. And while it may feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere, downtown Bozeman is just a 5–10 minute drive away — close enough for a quick coffee run or dinner out, but far enough that you’ll still sleep to the sound of crickets and wind through the grass. Oh — and you might meet Goober, our friendly four-legged camp inspector. She occasionally stops by to say hello (or see if snacks are involved). If she gets a little too enthusiastic about her hosting duties, feel free to shoot us a message. We promise she takes constructive criticism better than most humans. This is a dry, rustic site — no hookups or fancy amenities, just quiet land, mountain air, and a camp that feels like your own.
