Remote subdivision on 4500-foot ridge, 10 miles from Columbus exit 408, off of Interstate 90. Your camping spot is near the road for easy access, but the road is private and dead-ends just beyond my property, so traffic is very minimal. The Pryor Mountain Wild Mustangs are just minutes from our place and we almost always see them out there. Cody, only 50 miles to the west is a town loaded with history of the old west and features Cody Nite Rodeo every night of the summer from June 1 through August 30 as well as numerous museums and other attractions. Buffalo Bill Museum of the West will keep you busy for a couple of days if you are a museum buff. Just about everyday in the summer, you are likely to see a gunfight on the street in front of the historic Irma Hotel. There is also Old Trail Town, a recreated old west town. Further to the west just 90 miles from here is the East gate of Yellowstone open from the end of May until first of November. Thermopolis with their giant hot springs is just about 100 miles to the south of us. The Bighorn National Recreation is just minutes from Lovell featuring the 3rd Longest Canyon in the United States with breathtaking views of the Reservoir from Devil's Overlook. Easy access just outside of Cody, Wyoming. Flat spot with good water and electric just outside Tad and Janie’s home. Nice lane with no traffic for a dog walk. Cows in the field were very interested in our dog. Quiet with a beautiful view.

Even though somewhat marred by some from northern fires, the views were still beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful. Justin was great, very flexible when a problem with our rv caused us to be a day late. He was very helpful in getting us situated so our camper was level.

Eric was such a friendly host. There is no designated camping spot on the property so you can pitch your tent wherever works best for you. Eric supplied us with wood and gasoline to have a fire for the evening.

This site is amazing! The solitude and views are breathtaking. Long ride up on gravel roads with views the entire way. Justin is very welcoming, friendly, and informative. The starry sky is huge and the sunset is right out your front windows.

You will park your RV by the pond on our gravel driveway.

2 nights at Camp at the Rafter JB

We had an amazing time at Brenda's place. Brenda and John were hospitable and friendly, giving us advice on where to eat. The location was easy to access and the setting was perfect. The pond and the walking path and fire pit area were meticulously maintained. We hooked up to shore power using a 75' power cable, although we didn't need air conditioning. We will definitely return.

Today we left another awesome hipcamp. It is situated 5 minutes from Cody WY just down the road from the Cheif Joseph Scenic Highway and Yellowstone. Tad was very kind and answered all our questions. The site was everything that was advertised.

Great views, and great host! Justin worked with me when my trip had to be altered due to health and allowed me to flex my stay by a couple days. He’s a fantastic host and will make sure you’re settled and check to see if you need anything. If you’re there in August, be mindful of the potential for wildfires in the mountains, Justin kept apologizing for the smoke covered mountains, but I absolutely loved it. The light was special as the sun set from the smoke, but I love moody sunsets. I love experiencing the outdoors in all its varying degrees.
