Stillwater River Wedding Ranch 1
The campsite is located in a spacious area by the river that is accessed by a private gravel road.
Lighting is available via the strings of overhead lighting.
The portable toilet was clean and stocked with sufficient toilet paper and hand sanitizer.
Pete was a friendly and responsive host.
Overall, a positive experience and stay.
Please be aware, the campsite is located on a working ranch. Since the campsite is not fenced, the cows can access the campsite area.

Quiet peaceful spot right along the Stillwater river. The river is crystal clear and is a great sound to fall asleep to. Unfortunately, we only had time for one night, but plan to return this fall when the colors begin to change. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy this prime spot of land.

Exactly what I was looking for, private spot with no one around to relax for the weekend.
One of the most peaceful campsites I've ever been at, also had the cleanest Porta potty I've ever seen. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful & peaceful area! Very well kept! Listening to the river in the early mornings certainly made the trip. It was great to have the place to ourselves. Go try it out for yourself you will love it!

Pete was a great host. It was great to have the whole place to our family. The setting was great with easy access to the river to fish and to watch the floaters go by. Great old shade tree in the middle that provides shade all day. The cleanest porta potty I have ever seen. Thanks, Pete

It really is a green meadow on the banks of the Stillwater River, secluded from other houses along the river. Nice shade from huge Cottonwood trees. Very clean toilet. Quiet except for the river. Dark at night.

Family weekend by the river!

We enjoyed a weekend here with family friends and had a fabulous time. The space is set up so nicely with beautiful scenery, lots of trees for shade, space to spread out and soothing river noise. The water flows were higher, but we were still able to splash in the water. Definitely appreciated the electric hookups and the spotless porta-potty.
Pete was very responsive thru the booking process and answering all of my questions. He swung by to say hi on arrival and then we had the place all to ourselves. We would highly recommend this spot!

Very special property, has all the elements needed to restore your soul, Pete is an exceptional person and a great host. The river sound is the best thing to fall asleep to and we loved seeing the groups of rafts enjoying their time. The only thing I would have changed is adding more days to our stay!!

Fabulous location with amazing views and complete privacy. I slept peacefully all night to the sound of the river with the only light from the stars and moon. Thank you Pete for charging your piece of paradise.

Off the main roads and over a crazy old bridge, this beautiful private location on the Stillwater River was everything we could have wished for. Pete sent great directions and answered all my questions. No water at site but he provided bottled water and the cleanest porta-potty I have been in for years. With an old wooden spool for a dinner table, we were awed by the Milky Way before turning in for the night. So worth the detour.

Pete was awesome! Super communicative and the site was fantastic! He has a Nema 14-50 plug that we could Level 2 charge our EV overnight! He also has a regular level 1 and was hapoy to send photos of his plug so we could be sure it would work for our needs.

This land is beautiful. It’s right on the Stillwater river. My husband fished. I read by the river. The sunsets were fantastic. We liked just arriving and not being disturbed. Pete asked how things were or if we needed anything. What a great experience.

This was our first Hip Camp experience. We didn’t know what to expect. We loved this place!!! Quiet, secluded, accessible and scenic. Camping along the Stillwater River, rushing over rocks, was perfection! We were there only a few minutes when a Bald Eagle flew down the river. We also saw all kinds of wildlife: Osprey, deer, Sandhill Cranes, kingfishers and a coyote. So awesome!! My husband caught a couple trout. The owner, Pete, was so responsive, helpful and accommodating. The rising moon and stars were spectacular. I would stay here over a public campsite any day! We stayed an extra night we loved it so much. If this place is typical of Hip Camp, I’m IN!!

This was our first Hip Camp experience. It far exceeded our expectations! We stayed right next to the Stillwater River on a spacious piece of level property filled with wildlife. We watched Ospreys hunting fish, saw Bald Eagles soar down the river, spotted Sandhill Cranes swoop down into the adjacent pasture and had a family of deer nearby. The host, Pete, was responsive, friendly and accommodating. My husband was excited to fly fish and caught a couple trout. We watched the full moon rise over the cottonwood trees and enjoyed the quiet except for the rushing river. We stayed an extra night we loved it so much—far better than most campgrounds. If every Hip Camp is this awesome, we are hooked!!

We stayed only one night but loved the site and would totally consider coming back and staying longer. It was peaceful and beautiful. We didn’t meet Pete, the host but he made sure that we knew where to find things. He was very hospitable. Thanks Pete!!!!

M Lazy P Ranch is Montana camping at it's best! The site was extremely private and so enjoyable to have a huge private river access to ourselves. The access road in is great and land was level to park on. The location was amazing as we were able to spend a day rafting the Stillwater, another day kayaking the West Rosebud Lake, fly fishing the Stillwater and spent evenings playing Bocce on the meadow on the banks of the river. We saw seer in the upper hay field every morning and night and had quite a few visits from Blue Heron cranes. The owner answered messages lightning fast and the land was even better than he described.

Very secluded right on the water. We're on the 8th day of a 10 day road trip ro Yellowstone and found this to have been our favorite stay. You have the place to yourselves, with flowing water, wildlife and the beautiful starlite skies. It was a little remote to get to, but was well worth it. Would highly recommend if you wish to get off the beaten path.

The campsite was a little ways off 90, but worth every mile. The campsite is out by itself. We had the whole place to ourselves. We are on the 8th day of our 10 day road trip to Yellowstone and it was by far the best place we have stayed. The campsite is right on the water with plenty of wildlife. As we pulled into the property, We slept with the windows open and was able to hear the watered running over the rocks. The site did not have running water, but did have the 50 amp hookup. There is a porta potty at the site. The dirt road leading up to the site was better than some of the paved roads we have been on. If your looking for an exclusive campsite, this is definitely the place to go. 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅
