As a matter of fact, the building didn’t even belong to the Bigfork Summer Playhouse — it was a Community Hall owned by the Masons and the Eastern Star and seated approximately 200 people. The summer group would rent the facility and bring in the stage, risers, and seats for the audience. We’re pleased to say that now the playhouse is a 435-seat air-conditioned theater with great fly space, a spacious lobby that contains a concession area, and wonderfully comfortable continental-style seating for hundreds of guests. This site sits on a mostly flat, graveled driveway with plenty of room to park and set up. Surrounded by forest and backed by public land, it's a great basecamp for outdoor adventure. You'll find direct access to mountain biking and hiking trails right off the property, including the Tally Lake Overlook Trail and Stovepipe Trails. Tally Lake, Montana’s deepest lake, is less than 8 miles up the road and offers opportunities for swimming, paddling, fishing, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty. If you head just up Tobie Creek Road, there’s a small, lesser-known fishing hole—a stocked lake with trout and pike that locals love for its peaceful vibe. This is a dry campsite with no hookups or amenities, so please come prepared with your own water and a toilet system. (Tent campers are welcome only if you bring your own composting toilet or bucket toilet setup.) A basic fire ring is available for use when fire restrictions are not in effect—please check current conditions. There's also a simple picnic table and plenty of trees for hammocks. Firewood is available as an extra you can add on to this booking- we will deliver it to the site ahead of your arrival time. We spent 3 nights in the yurt here. It rained quite a bit and the temperatures got pretty chilly, but the yurt had an electric heater, that kept us more than comfortable. 2 adults, 2 children under 10 and our dog. We had plenty of room outside to cook and hang out. The yurt was thoughtfully arranged to feel plenty spacious and comfortable for the 5 of us. You cannot beat the location of this hipcamp. We spent 3 days in the park, but it is conviently close to Kalispell and Whitefish as well. We will definitely stay again.

We found Richard’s RV site just as expected from his pictures and description. It’s was very pleasant to have a place all to ourselves and an added bonus to be greeted by his beautiful friendly dogs. We sat at the picnic table just under the trees and enjoyed the view of the mountains. His place was just 20 minutes to the entrance of Glacier Natl park where we spent 3 days. And we were also able to enjoy restaurants and live music in Columbia Falls at a fine place suggested by Richard. We will definitely plan to stay here again next time we visit the area.

Our stay at Richard’s Deer Park Campsite was fantastic! The grounds were clean, spacious, and very well maintained. From the moment we arrived, Richard’s two friendly dogs greeted us and even came by to visit during our stay — they got along great with our three dogs, which made it extra enjoyable. We also loved catching glimpses of his chickens and roosters, which added a unique and charming touch. The location is perfect, with plenty of nearby trails for hiking and biking, as well as great fishing spots that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The full hookups Richard provided were an awesome accommodation for our 7-night visit and made an extended stay super comfortable. Richard is an exceptional host — very accommodating, welcoming, and even kind enough to share his WiFi with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience. Highly recommend Richard’s Deer Park Campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly, and well-kept place to stay!

Great location, close to everything on the west side of Glacier National Park. Brooke was super helpful with info and addressing any needs quickly! The free use of the washer and dryer was amazingly helpful for our two week stay! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a basecamp while exploring GNP (about 30 minutes to the park entrance), Whitefish, Kalispell and Columbia Falls has everything you need and is just a few minutes drive. Also, the Sharing Shack is right across the road. Check out the fb group for it! The neighbors have 3 little adorable goats and we saw deer in the field and elk right down the road!
