This pristine camp spot is on our 5th generation cattle ranch and depending on the grazing schedule you may be serenaded by the sound of soothing "moo's" from our cow and calf pairs as you fall to sleep. Along with our cows, there are chickens and horses nearby, as well as multitudes of wildlife. Three couples of Trumpeter Swans call our pond home, as well as ducks, geese, loons, sandhill cranes, and a whole cascade of other bird varieties. Deer, grizzlies, black bear, badgers, elk, foxes, and rabbits also call our ranch home and can usually be spotted nearby. The camp site itself is along our pond. This pond unfortunately does not have any fish, but it is very relaxing to paddle a kayak or canoe in and out of the willow branches that surround it. You will have a quiet, serene and private location, hidden by the canopy of willows that grow along the pond. The views are spectacular and the nearby activities make this a great spot for any outdoor enthusiast!

The town of Big Fork is only 45 minutes away and is a must-see. This town has an old-west feel with great shops, restaurants, a live theater, and an old iron bridge over the river. Glacier National Park is an hour and twenty minutes away. The driveway up to the orchard is made of gravel and is a bit steep at the beginning, At times there can be a few ruts so be cautious. 1 night at The Holmestead Cabin

I ended up at Cody’s at kind of the last second and he and his wife were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The space is really clean and well kept. Me and my dogs slept great. I would have booked another night but had plans for the next evening already. I highly recommend this spot - a steal for the price.

The views are excellent! I got in pretty late so it was maybe a little more difficult to navigate after dark, but I still managed to find a spot and the toilets pretty easily. Erin was very helpful and quick to respond.

I absolutely loved staying in the A-frame. It was comfy and warm even on a chilly night. The shower/dressing room trailer was very handy. Having the creek right there is a bonus. Geoff is a very gracious host. I'd definitely stay there again!

Had the whole place to myself. Very nice, amazing view, and my site was very clean. If you're using a tent it can be a bit of a pain to get the stakes in the ground, as it's a bit rocky; it could've just been me tho, as it was my first time camping. There are train tracks near by, but the sound wasn't too bad--it was sort of relaxing honestly. You're also close enough to a little town that you can get emergency supplies if needed, but far enough removed that it feels far out. The host was super nice as well. All in all, great experience, especially for first time campers!

Nice open space. Wind died down. No bugs. Very close to love’s truck stop for bathroom and shower. Periodic trains, but no noise from interstate. Will be here again. Best setup near Missoula.

Weekend Trip to Cabins on Montana's Ocean

We stayed in both cabins and they were excellent! Felt like true lake cabins, no frills and fanciness. Also the lakefront access was amazing! Dock and beach access for the day and a beautiful fire pit at night. Would highly recommend!
