Six level acres in western St. Charles County. Typical evening and night is very quiet. I have approximately 500’ of frontage on Indian Camp Creek with access to a private and secluded gravel bar. Kayaking activities are available without shuttle service. Indian Camp Creek County Park is less than 4 miles away offering mountain biking trails, hiking trails, equestrian trails, picnic pavilions, and Frisbee golf. Incline Village Golf Course is less than 1/2 mile away. Cedar Lake Winery is about a 15 minute drive. I keep a walking path mowed around the perimeter of my property so the weary traveler can stretch their legs after a long day of travel.

We do our best to allow 1 reservation to stay on site at a time. If only 1 site is requested the others are then blocked to allow guests privacy during their stay. If another person requests to stay and it is booked, we will check with the current reservation for approval. We also allow groups to book and camp together if needed (use both rv pads, or tent camp).
We do offer 50amp and 30amp power options (2 different RV parking sites).
Some people have commented that our driveway entrance seems narrow for larger rigs (Class A's and 5th wheels). We've had 53' long rigs (5th wheels)and 45' (Class A's) pull in and get parked with no issues. You will need to be able to back into a spot for either 50a or 30a service. We do have additional parking available for extra vehicles.
If you have a tow vehicle/toad, you will need to detach prior to arrival. There are 2 trucks stops less than 5 miles away (TA and Pilot) or there is a park with a large parking area off of David Hoekel Parkway you can utilize.
We do offer 20amp power and extension cord for tent campers (either in our tent or can be used in your own tent.
Free cold showers available.
A bundle of firewood is now included for use in provided fire pits in needed/requested.
Outdoor Hot showers available at a charge of $5/person. This includes the use of propane and a portable hot water heater.
Wi-Fi is available during your stay.
Will provide network name and password in confirmation email.
3 firepits are available for use (firewood can be purchased).
Easy access to our place via Hwy 70 (take the David Hoekel Parkway Exit).
We are 5 miles from Wentzville which offers a Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot, multiple grocery stores, Rural King, Charlies and multiple restaurants.
We have a stocked pond with catfish, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, black crappie, carp and turtles. There is a Windmill that aerates the pond (do not climb on it). You can fish the pond must practice CPR (catch photo release). Or you can feed the pond fish & feed out chickens. We will provide the fish food and chicken treats.
There is plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons, armadillo's, birds, etc.). Deer will walk by the pond and driveway a couple of times a day. We also have a group of free-range chickens and French guineas (eggs may be available during your stay). There are bike trails in the area, paved roads you can ride on to explore, wineries nearby, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch.

This land has been asking to be shared. First it was swings and little things for the grandchildren and their friends. Then the Cabin by the pond began to welcome visitors. Soon the steep slope anchored a Yurt with a wrap-around deck that puts you up in the trees. Our gathering spot by the creek became a camp site. Recently the grandkids' Bunk House found its way in. Our Retreat is 10 acres, narrow, but 1/4 mile deep, stretching down a steep wooded slope to a creek - and up the other side to the top of a bluff. Grand Army Farm is a family owned working farm. We raise beautiful angora goats for fiber and have chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and meat goats. We serve local restaurants and participate in many local area farmers market.
We pride ourselves in minimizing our carbon footprint, to the extent that we don't own any heavy piece of farm equipment, not even an ATV. The working portion of the game only accounts for 15 % of the land.

We booked the space on super short notice and were super pleased with our stay! Kirk met us in the driveway with water bottles. Very friendly and helpful! We brought our dog with us and there was plenty of space for her to rimo around off-leash. The space included electric hookup and wifi, which was great for a relaxing evening after traveling all day! My mom and I absolutely loved our stay at Sudden Valley Ranch. We were greeted by Randy, who was so helpful and a treat to talk to! The property is beautiful with lots of fun wildlife. We particularly enjoyed the turkey and friendly dogs. Our site had lots of complimentary gear/cooking utensils to use while we were there, which was incredibly hospitable. The outhouse was clean and the water spigot nearby for easy use. We would happily camp here again!

I loved camping on Josh's land! It is such a beautiful property that is well maintained. The shed is a great resource to have for storage or as an option for camping during bad weather. It was our first time camping with our baby daughter, and it was great to have a private campsite with a fire pit, toilet, pond, and great views. The fishing was excellent, and the swing by the pond was a fun feature. Would definitely camp here again!

The best spot we've stayed this year. 10 acres. 1 acre pond. Our dogs got to run unleashed. Listened to coyotes, owls, turkey and so many birds. So quiet and full of nature. Short distance to convience store and fuel,ice,etc. Just a few minutes into the city of Columbia. Absolutely taken care of piece of property. Perfect firepit for entertaining. We were testing our new RV for boondocking since there isn't electricity there. Everything went smoothly. Josh does have running water. That was very cool. Thanks Josh for a wonderful vacation.

This property is gorgeous. Randy and Milissa put so much thought and care into creating a peaceful campsite. We loved walking around the farm and spent a lot of time by the creek, it is so lovely and the frogs are so cute. The stars were brilliant at night and we even saw the pasture filled with fireflies one evening, that was magical! The campsite itself is so welcoming, a big fire ring, (wood provided), a picnic table, dishwashing station, bar b que and a pristine outhouse. They even have a cupboard with cooking supplies in case you need them. Our dogs loved it there as well, they could not get enough of the creek. We felt so relaxed there, it was truly hard to leave. Highly, highly recommend, it is a gem of a place!

Beautiful view. We loved watching the ducks and geese on the pond. Rosalie was getting ready for a farmer’s market and we were able to buy some luscious angora yarn from her. On the way out we stopped and bought 2 dozen fresh eggs. Host was very kind and welcoming. Loved seeing the goats and sheep!!

Wonderful Hipcamp with owners who care. We had one of three full hook up sites (as good as you’ll find anywhere) with a view across a paddock with horses and donkeys in a gorgeous setting. After a long drive, with Truck and Trailer, great to pull through into a super easy spot to both arrive, set up, and depart. We were there to visit Hannibal (Mark Twain etc) but clearly lots of great outdoor adventures to be had near by on lakes and reservoirs. Full marks and thank you!
