Float, Fish, Swim or vacation in the Ozarks. We have approximately 3 acers of the 15 we own set aside for camping. Plenty of room for two campsites on cleared, level land adjacent to the James River. Best suited for tent or small campers. We offer firewood, a port a potty, a dumpsite for holding tanks, water from our well to fill your water tank and electricity to charge devices and RV batteries at my barn. Generator rental available on a first reserve, first serve basis. Located about halfway between Springfield, MO. and Branson, MO. Nearby attractions include trout fishing, and a mountain bike park. Please note, This campground is located in a floodplain and weather related cancellations are common. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

We have 100 foot cliffs, seasonal 60 foot water falls, hiking trails, and guided cave tour. Take a dip in the cave fed 3 feet deep pool, with limestone bottom that offers a small sandy beach. Perfect location to unplug, reconnect with your family, or to replenish your soul. Various camping sites offered for those who are new too camping or for those who are looking for a more solitude and off-grid experience. Fires are allowed when weather permits and wood is included. We do offer a charging station, water access at the main entrance, and have a communal outhouse/bathroom close to camp site. Weekend Trip to The Walnut Retreat

The hosts were very accommodating! Offered services/amenities above what is posted online. Willing to share suggestions about local food and sights. Had wildlife around to watch (deer/chickens) and was quiet overnight. Perfect for our 1 night travel stay. Thank you!

So perfect! If you want a back country experience connecting with nature in a magical setting without hauling a backpack this is it! Appropriately named EDEN Springs. Our campsite, The Landing, was very large, flat, and nestled in the trees. It had a large fire ring off to the side and a grill we used to cook steaks over the fire. The communication with Tim was second to none and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect! Booking again for spring. Can't wait!

What an amazing piece of nature!! Beyond beautiful! In October, the water wasn't flowing but we loved exploring all the natural wonders the valley held! We had an excellent campout and hope to return someday to see the waterfalls in action! Great Host, Prior to our trip, Tim was very communicative and was around during our stay. Be aware that the road is very steep!

Beautiful remote and ruggid spot. Not for the faint but the hearty will love this spot with waterfalls, caves, access to running water and power. Host was very helpful. Definitely hope to return.

10000% will be going back! Greg was super nice. He provided firewood which a huge plus. The portapotty was probably the cleanest portapotty I've ever seen. So close to the river and the floating dock was amazing!! 10/10!!!

This is our family's third time renting Orphans Island. We love that we can rent the spot and have the privacy to be as crazy as we are. Greg does a great job keeping things clean and updated. This was my first experience with Hipcamp and I truly enjoyed my time there. Greg is a great host, the bathroom was kept clean during our 4 day trip. This was the first girl’s camping trip I took with my best friend where it was just the two of us and we had a blast the entire time. There was plenty of shade, a pretty big fire pit, and tons of privacy. When the sun was too much, we grabbed our river tube and headed to the private dock off of the James river. The water was clear and the surroundings and wildlife was unforgettable. Despite the rain, our campsite stayed dry and we didn’t get bogged down in a ton of mud. It was easier than I thought it would be to find the camp itself and there is a Dollar General about 15 minutes away, so it was convenient. We will definitely be back to do a couple’s camping trip very soon. I am pleased that there is an app like this for people who want to camp more privately. It was a great experience all the way around.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Airstream Retreat

We enjoyed our stay on Hally’s family farm. The airstream is really cute. The hot tub is a good touch and the covered deck was great during a storm while also providing shade in the sun. The bed was and comfy and we had pretty much everything we needed. There were a couple hiccups but Hally was very responsive. The airstream is located about 30 minutes to Branson and we enjoyed going to table rock lake to swim.

We all loved this spot! The host (Gregory) and his wife were so kind and if we needed anything they would accommodate to that. He made sure we were stocked up on fire wood, helped blow up our air mattresses and even brought us some fishing poles, bait and some floaties. The only bad thing I have to say is that the current in the river was a little strong but we still had a good time!
