The Auntie's Grove at Moonstone

Moonstone is a perennial polyculture (no annual crops, lots of diversity) on the bluffland of the Upper Minnesota River Valley.  A family-based farm specializing in grass-fed organic beef production, we also maintain a vineyard, an edible forest, farmstore, farmstay guest cottage and a full-shade camping area, the Auntie's Grove within walking distance of our pond, little beach, water points and restrooms.

Spending some time out on the lake in one of the two canoes is highly recommended!

The bulls spend the day walking around their pasture eating and playing in the dirt. 

The vineyard is a beautiful setting for photos as the sun hangs low in the sky. 

There are two canoes and a paddleboard for use in the pond. 

Auntie's Grove offers enough space to pitch your tent exactly where you want it!

While Moonstone is indeed a working farm, it isn't loud or busy. There are plenty of quiet spots to relax, read, or play a little music.

Lower Elk Lake - Full RV Hookup

Full hookup RV site on a natural environment lake and 2 acres to spread out.  The site is just a short drive on a well maintained gravel dead end road.  The bay is very shallow so unfortunately fishing and swimming are not recommended.  The view of the lake and gentle slope to the lake make it a perfect setting for your RV.  For reference, the site is roughly 25 miles west of Alexandria, 90 miles north west of St. Cloud and 155 miles north west of Minneapolis.

Acorn Farm Country Family Camp

This property was once old farm land. The old barn with a dirt floor still has some old horse equipment. We're proud that this family has been in our family for 30 years. We are happy have plenty of crops on the other side of the tree line and love spending time here to watch wild life! Learn more about this land:10 acre lot located between Sauk Center and Alexandria. Great place to get out and enjoy nature. Mix between beautiful flowers, grassy areas wooded areas to explore. We see lots of wildlife such as deer, turkey, pheasants, sand hill cranes, eagles and much more.Must bring your own accommodations. 

Thompson Lake Water View

After offering tenting only for the last two years, we have stationed a newly renovated 2.5 bed/1 bath camper at the site. Starting May 2023 the camper will have full electric and water hookups, including air conditioning. Fresh Linens will be provided, but you will need to supply bath/beach towels. The campsite is located right on the fringe of our field and the lake overlooking the water and a few lake homes. A 10 foot bank leads to our private dock frequented by large mouth bass. Sunrise in the morning, and shade for most of the day. Guests have access to free use of a canoe, and firewood that can be purchased on site. Our small lake does have a public access for boats, and is frequented by bass fisherman looking to get off the beaten path.  Our house is 200 yards away if shelter from storms is needed.

⛺️ Since 1949, we've been a family-operated resort & campground on Swan Lake in Fergus Falls, MN. We offer lakeside cabins, tent camping, and full hook-up, pull-through RV sites. Here, there is time to slow down, room to breathe, and lots to explore.

🏖️ Soak up the sun on the sandy beach, hike through the hidden trails, and take the pontoon out for a cruise. Be sure to turn the tech off and challenge a rival to ping pong, crack a cold one, and explore the water on stand-up paddleboard. 

🍦 Bring the little ones and get messy at the arts & crafts table, catch a sunfish off the docks, and indulge in s’mores around the campfire. Don’t forget to show us what you got on the volleyball court and savor an ice cream at the camp store. Curl up in a hammock and get lost in a good book, smile at the flowers and gaze in awe at the night sky. Just be.
