2 nights at Belle Creek BluffI came to Belle Creek Bluff on a solo camping trip, and I loved it 😭 At the Green Canopy site, there are multiple short trails into the woods that you can use to gather downed wood. The cabin area is shady, with dappled light in the daytime. For full sun, there’s a large grassy area between the creek and the cabin that’s also perfect for stargazing at night. My favorite part of the trip was kayaking! They have a little supply station set up outside the blue campsite (there are 3 campsites, color coded by blue, yellow, and green, which is also the order in which you come across them as you drive in). That supply station is where you’ll find a couple kayaks & paddles, life vests, luggable loos, firewood for $1/piece, etc. After lugging your kayak to your campsite, you can paddle upstream—heads-up: you’ll be pulling the kayak over the very shallow areas—and float back down to your site (JT recommended this idea to me!). The entire site is well-kept, inc the outhouse. I miss Belle Creek already and only wish I’d booked a longer stay <3
