Our unique cabin on Hennessy Creek sits pond-side at the Eagles Roost Trout Farm. Relax to trickles of our clear waters, hike on 100’s of pristine acres & trails, fly fish for Rainbow Trout, enjoy campfires, or take a hot sauna, then let dreams become lasting memories while you sleep like a baby. Rustic & perfect for kids or couples, bikers & hikers, a haven for birdwatchers, nature lovers, & stress busters. Our cabin is a “destination” unto itself, regardless of plans beyond your stay. Please add your pet as an "extra" The space This is a three-room cabin with a Sauna and an enclosed glass patio. There is one queen-sized bed, a sleeping loft with mattresses, and two futon couches that convert to double beds. There is a very basic kitchen on the porch and a gas grill outside. Our outhouse and outdoor shower are right out the back door. With a sink and an extra cleaning station right there, you won't even bother to walk up to the house but you are welcome to use the bathroom on the lower level if you prefer. Just let us know when you need it. Guest access The cabin itself, the sauna, the outdoor shower, the patio, and the fire pit are all provided for the exclusive use of our guests. The ponds and our 20 acres are shared at times but are generally available to our guests 24/7. Our Home, across the pond, affords guests access to a full bathroom and home access for any emergency needs. The adjacent (mostly west) 460 acres of public lands are pristine and, while shared with the public, are not heavily used, giving you the feel of having your own private park in the woods. Additional fees are required for pets kept in the cabin, laundry, extra meals, fishing, fly fishing lessons, and other personalized guidance. Other things to note What’s New at Dick’s Cabin? In 2020, we added a deep sink to the shower area with cold water in the tap plus hot water available by unhooking the shower cord. In 2020, running water to the sink and wash area outside on the porch. In 2019 the Outdoor Hot Shower yes, we have hot water at the cabin! In 2018, our outhouse was replaced with a brand new Porta Potty. There is a sanitary chemical treatment and weekly waste removal (pump out) service as well,l which all but eliminates the dreaded outhouse experience.

If you have stayed at Dick’s Cabin at the Eagles Roost Trout Farm, Dan’s Lodge is the next step up. If you have not, please see our reviews for that listing as well. 1200 Sq Ft of deep woods privacy with all the comforts of home. Two bedrooms, a sleeping loft, an indoor kitchen, and massive deck spaces. Dan’s Lodge gets you close to glamping without roughing it at all. The Design by our son, Richard, incorporates years of service experience into this amazing property, making your stay a memorable one. The space The Lodge is NOT a tiny but a 1200 sq ft smaller home with good sized bedrooms and sleeping loft. The Great Room and main deck are quite large and adequate for a large family or multiple families to relax comfortably.

Bills land was fantastic. It was peaceful, beautiful, and the fishing was a bonus for my grand grandchildren.! They were incredible hosts! Thank you !!

Dick's Cabin at The Eagles Roost
Great cabin and beautiful property. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated that we could book same day and still be accommodated for. I will say, the giant (mini van size) political sign the moment you drive in is bad taste for a place renting for people of any background. It immediately sets the tone for a not welcoming environment.

The cabin was perfect—it had everything we needed right there. Bill and his wife were amazing, helpful hosts. I’d recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back!
