Also new this year is a pond, an above ground pool, a second Porta Pottie, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and a more extensive First Aide Kit, and finally a Keurig and more options at the ‘Refreshment / Charging Station’. 2Chicks And A Farm is a small working farm on 20 acres, owned and run by Julie and Theresa Graham. We are 13 minutes from South Haven and the lake. 30 minutes from the city of Kalamazoo. And just under an hour from Grand Rapids. About half of the 20 acres is wooded, which is where three of our camp sites, Hammock Haven are located. Each site has a fire ring & picnic table. Three camp sites are located in the pasture. One is at the bottom of the pasture (1) and quite open. It can accommodate larger groups with multiple tents. It can also take a larger RV. A more secluded site (5) is half open and half in light woods., and is located at the top of the pasture. The others are in the middle of the pasture, 2 for sun lovers and 3 for those who prefer more shade. For those who prefer more seclusion, we have cleared three sites in the woods. All sites have a fire ring, or metal fire pit, and picnic table. Some have fire wood boxes (we’re working on making a box for all sites). We have an outdoor propane shower that provides both hot and cold water. This is free. A coffee bar is on the back deck. Coffee is brewing around 7am. We also provide hot water, teas, hot chocolate and cider. Feeling a little peckish before breakfast, or after dinner? Help yourself to a snack. This is all free, though small donations are welcomed. Our goats, poultry, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs and produce take up about an acre and a half. Then the rest is open space. You are welcome to collect eggs for breakfast and fresh produce from our gardens (additional fee). Use the BBQ or smoker. And even join in on farm chores if you are so inclined. Please try to plan to check-in by 9pm. Exceptions can be made. There are locally mandated quiet hours (10-7 Sun through Thur, and 11-7 Fri and Sat). Hanging out by a fire and chatting is fine.

Our property is on little fish lake. Camp easy sits up on a hill over looking little fish lake where you can watch the sunrise in the morning and stars come out at night. We have our own private beach and a canoe that you can enjoy. Our own home sits on this property but camp easy is far enough back in the woods to feel like you are alone.

Had an amazing weekend! We stayed in Sam's Place Yurt and it was perfect for our party of 4! We loved getting to pet all the farm kitties and having all the farm birds visit our campsite. The campsite was really clean and tidy as was our yurt. We really appreciated that the portapotty was close by and also the cleanest we've ever come across, especially at a campsite! Julie was an amazing host, she was super quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. We got the breakfast on our first morning there and it was exactly what we needed to get our day started! Super delicious and substantial. Overall would highly recommend 2 Chick's! We can't wait to be back for another visit!

Weekend Trip to Camp Easy

We absolutely loved this place! We got there later in the evening and the solar lights around the lavu were already lit up making it a beautiful sight to see at first glance. It was very private and we didn't see anyone the whole visit which was nice. However the neighbor across the lake and his turkey call at 8am was not what we wanted to wake up to. Aside from that it was completely perfect and we highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time! It's a lovely, clean, and fun place with lots of animals. Campsites felt pretty self contained and the other guests were all so incredibly respectful. It was a blissful getaway and the couple that runs it are wonderful. Cats everywhere, it was like living inside a cat cafe!! I would highly recommend buying some of their eggs, they were amazing! I'll definitely be returning for another visit in the future.

It was the perfect escape from the stresses of everyday life! Staying in the yurt was a great compromise - we got to enjoy the natural world without the work of putting up our own campsite (and taking it down afterward). Waking up to chickens, bunnies, cats and turkeys keeping us company around our camp chairs was delightful; sitting by the fire at night with friendly cat cuddles was so relaxing. We could not believe how wonderful the experience was. We really enjoyed what Julie and Theresa have built - a safe space for humans and animals to commune with each other. What kind people! We loved chatting with them when getting coffee, they ensured if we needed anything (more firewood? and we didn't have to pay $6-$7 for a tiny bundle?) they provided, and hey - if you want your privacy that was fine too. We couldn't have asked for more. Our son and his girlfriend visited us at camp and they fell in love with the place too (especially Rocket Raccoon.) So GO! Enjoy the farm - and pro tip from someone who grew up on a farm (if you've not been): Bring some old shoes. :-)

This was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The camp hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. With so many animals on the property, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. I highly recommend adding on any of the extras they offer—especially the fresh eggs, jams, and their full breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. For cat lovers, this place is a dream come true—there are around 20 cats roaming the property, all very friendly and sweet. That said, if you have strong cat allergies, this might not be the best fit. I felt safe throughout our stay, and the other campers were also kind and respectful. The outdoor shower and sink setup was clean and convenient, and the coffee/tea/hot cocoa bar by the house was such a thoughtful touch with a great selection. Highly recommend for a peaceful, animal-filled getaway.

First time using Hicamp, so far it was a great and smooth experience. Julie and her wife were amazing hosts. So accommodating and hospitable. Camp site was clean, plenty of wood, tiki torches, and Lucy the yurt was perfect for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. Coffee was delicious, we bought some fresh farm eggs. We were able to wash up after beach day at camp, recharge our phones and portable battery pack at camps charging area. Fill our water jugs. Walk the dogs around the farm! Overall amazing first experience! Thank you for hosting!

This was a nice place to stay at, we had everything we needed from cooking utensils, propane stove, towels, bug spray, dishes, to potable water. Toilet is clean! Short walk to the lake, they had a canoe and some seats by the water. It was pretty private and quiet by the yurts. The lake had a bit more traffic, but still able to remain somewhat secluded. Easy spot for small family trips.

My family stayed at 2 chicks and a farm and loved it. We were greeted with a welcome basket and a tour. Everything was very clean. We were given a fan in our tent and they had complimentary coffee and snacks. The animals were wonderful and friendly. The worst part was my son getting attached to a cat and having to leave. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful overnight trip with my three year old for his first camp-out. Julie and Madison provided excellent hospitality and communication. The animals were a big hit and we got to hold, feed and play with several of them. The grounds were well kept and the yurt was spacious and clean. Some really nice touches with the welcome basket, firewood on site and comfy camp chairs. And I can’t express how much I appreciate the cleanliness of the outhouse—especially with a toddler!
