Campsites are all riverfront along the Tobacco River. Country feel within blocks of town. Ross Lake/Beach, the remodeled Beaverton Tavern, park, an ice cream shop and splash park are all located within a long walk or short drive. We are close to Gladwin, Ross Lake, ORV trails and the Juicy Bone. The river flows into Wixom Lake which is anticipated to be back in 2025. Sandy beach with river access . You can access the river from our canoe portage on the property. Good fishing, swimming or just hanging out. You can also canoe, kayak or tube beautiful Tobacco River or sandy Cedar River. Picnic tables and fire pits are located throughout the property. Good music, games, sing a longs. Hike through the trails to get to the the enchanted cedar forest which is all located in the campground. We have an outdoor 250 inch screen where we project movies, concerts, games, interactive dance videos. For kids and adults, everyone leaves with a smile.

ABOUT THE FARM We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, a couple goatsWe have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly. You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021) and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment. Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there. After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! Quiet, despite a nearby road/bridge, and situated on the Tobacco River, Riverdaze offered me a private retreat while visiting friends nearby. I stayed for 3 nights with two pups and enjoyed the hospitality of the host as well as the convenience of nearby activities and restaurants. The hosts are putting work into the property, with improvements, and I'll keep it in mind if in the area again. The sites are perfect for tenters, small trailers, or those interested in boondocking with fire rings and picnic tables provided. A new treehouse and available water activities are great for families and adventurists.

The host was amazing! He doted over us making sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Quiet, incredibly clean and manicured. The river was fantastic. After I forgot what I needed for kayaking, the host offered their kayaks which we spent the day on. So peaceful. The town had a great ice cream shop, out of town was great BBQ. We will return.

This little campground is such a gem. We loved that it is right on the river in a wooded area. A great spot for kayaking and fishing, and it’s close to the cute little town of Beaverton. Communication with the hosts was really smooth and they were so accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful property! we loved waking up to the horses in the field. Doreen was very accommodating and helpful. The property was clean and the outhouse was well kept. She was very kind with our kids and even showed us how she cared for her cow and horses. We stayed 2 nights because we were passing through but wish we could’ve stayed longer it was such a nice little paradise. Would highly recommend for anyone who’s looking for a little bit of farm life and tranquility. Thank you Doreen and family for your hospitality. We wish you all the very best.

Where to go

Saginaw Surrounds

The Saginaw River runs right through downtown Saginaw, providing urban boating and fishing access. Hikers and bikers can take the nearby Saginaw Valley Rail Trail 11 miles to St. Charles in summer (the multi-use trail is utilized by skiers in winter).

Bay City State Park

Just 25 minutes from Saginaw, Bay City State Park sits on a sandy beach of Saginaw Bay that’s perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. Tent and RV camping sites feature picnic tables, fire rings, and restrooms, while observation towers let campers study the wildlife in the park’s Topico Marsh.

Lake Camping on the “Thumb”

About 80 minutes northeast from Saginaw are two state parks on Lake Huron at the tip of Michigan’s thumb.
