A rustic, permalog style cabin that is suited to accommodate up to nine. This is a cabin to help disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our chaotic lives. There is limited cell signal, no internet and no local or cable channels. The cabin is pet friendly, as I believe our pets are an extension of our families and should get to vacation with everyone rather than boarded (dogs only are allowed). Primary source of heat is a propane wall furnace. There is an electric fireplace in the living room. In the summer there is a window AC unit at the cabin and a fan for the loft (it does get hot up there). The cabin is very close (1/4 mile) to the AuSable River where you can easily launch boats, canoes and more. The ORV trail head is just a 1/4 mile down the road. This is also the perfect cabin for hunting, fishing, hiking and trail riding. Be sure to keep an eye out for an eagle or two. Also had deer tracks in the yard.

I have almost an acre my wife and I are turning into a small private camping experience. Lot it’s fully wooded plenty of shade located just south of west branch so conveniently close to shopping. Miles and miles of local trails and hunting locations only minutes down the road or a short drive to the Saint Helen trail system without all the congestion of staying locally. Each site is different to meet different needs all are rustic one tent/small camper or pop up the other is setup to take a camper up to around 25 ft. Main campsite is still under construction and the shed is being converted into a cabin but you could bring your camper. There currently is a small solar system for electric and a rain water collection system with filter and an outdoor camp shower with hot water and over 500 gallons reservoir and outhouse in the works next. We had a storm possible tornado I wasn’t here but did major damage to many trees and knocked down several others I’m looking for people willing to trade a few hours of labor for free camping tasks will be assigned based on capabilities from moving and burning branches to running chainsaw and wood splitter and if knowledgeable in construction have stairs and deck/platforms and other related projects associated with building a campground.

Exactly what we were looking for! The campsite was secluded, and the area is very well maintained. Cabins are available to rent on Airbnb which worked out great for my FIL who doesn’t have a camper. His spot is really amazing - private, quiet but has all the amenities of a regular campground and it’s also close to trails and town. This was our second stay and we’ll be back for sure. Local spots: Breakfast at Moose and Stella’s is awesome. Dinner at Trout Town Tavern is delicious. Cherry Street Market is amazing for produce, baked goods, jam, plants and yard decorations. Kevin and Laurie are Top Notch. My and family and I have had the privilege of staying at Bear Paw 3 times. Our kids love to swim in the pond, fish, and explore the grounds. There plenty of playgrounds and for the kids to playWe enjoy sitting by the fire using the wood that’s provided. Kevin and Laurie not only keep the grounds well maintained but they genuinely care. My stay at the Atwood Lodge was an absolute treat for the soul and senses. It provided me with a weekend of peace and beauty to cleanse my mind of the hustle and bustle of city living. My family and I particularly enjoyed the wonderfully manicured trails to walk and explore. We also loved wildlife 'hunting' with our eyes, spotting many deer, turkeys, and monarchs. The stars at night over the campfire on the hill were an absolute spectacle. The beds were clean and comfortable, providing great restful sleep for us all. The lodge interior was clean and cozy, complete with all the amenities one would need from home. My only regret is not walking all the trails this trip, guess I'll have to plan another stay 😉.

Relax and unwind while boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, jet skiing, swimming, birding, paddle boarding, ORV...and so much more! Northern Nights Family Campground is clean and well-maintained, including seasonal and non-seasonal (short-stay) sites. We are open year around and open for the “summer season” from the first weekend in May through the first weekend in October. The home is located on crystal clear Dixon lake. Sooth in our hot tub at the end of the day. The home is an open concept with a large deck facing the lake. 3 bedrooms are upstairs and both bathrooms. Ample closets to handle clothes, etc. Downstairs is a large bedroom and a family/bunk room with a TV and an electric fireplace. We can comfortably sleep 11. The laundry is located in the basement and in the back is private storage. Hot tub is included! So if you are out skiing or snowmobiling and need to warm up or you just want to relax on your stay we have you covered! You will be able to access the entire property and the lake in summer and winter. The home is totally available except for the storage in the rear of the basement. I can be contacted at any time. You are in a very private setting close to town. You will feel you are in the great outdoors with giant maple and oak trees on the property. Located on the edge of atv and snowmobile trails and lots of room to hike. Ample parking space for up to 6 plus vehicles. There is also room for boat and snowmobile trailers at the top of the driveway.
