Beautiful private spot. With electrical hookups. If you want to have complete privacy to unwind- this is great. Our dogs had a great time running around. The Twin Sisters Brewery nearby was great. Dowagiac farmers market was also fun to do.

Absolutely PERFECT private camping spot!! Geoff has done an immaculate job of setting up a well maintained and comfortable stay. 30amp plug in, hose to transfer water, fire pit and café lighting hung for ambiance. Timer and dimmer in the electric box. As it says in his profile, there is the e-train that goes by occasionally- but by no means does it minimize the stay! Geoff stopped by to welcome us, great guy. Had some common threads and ended up having a couple beers with him and great conversation. Ended up booking with him b/c the campgrounds were full - but will easily stay there again no matter what!

Great night of camping! Ian met us upon arrival to make sure we knew where we would be camping and even had a fire started! Grounds are very clean with water and portajohn available. Recommend!

We had a lovely time! Ian keeps everything so well maintained and beautiful. He even gave us firewood and starting materials. There is plants of space between the sites. The evening we were there there was only one other occupied campsite (see picture for how far apart we were. There’s a great community space for folks to hang out if you had more people camping alongside you. We definitely recommend!

We stayed at this place multiple times and have always enjoyed ourselves. It’s a wonderful single site campground that offers water and electricity. It has a great fire pit. It’s very secluded. Our dogs love the large areas to explore. Joseph is a terrific host!

Group trip
We stayed at the Mannex with a small Class C and pull behind vehicle. We were able to unhook and rehook the tow vehicle right in the driveway, and was room to park both within the camping area. Be sure to have leveler blocks though as to get close to electrical box and keep your awning towards the tracks (and not the road) you’ll likely need them. Wasn’t a problem though and was a perfect spot for us en route to Iowa to check out the Indiana Dunes. I’d bring a Thermacell for nighttime to keep bugs at bay. I would stay again if coming though the area. (Timer/lights hung at site is a nice touch as is all the bird houses!)

Our family had a great time camping! We had everything we needed to enjoy the visit. Ian was a great host and has a very well maintained property. Grand Mere State Park was a quick 20 min drive, the ample water spigots came in handy. Lots of yard games were available to entertain.

Absolutely perfect, secluded setting. Lots of space, lots of birds and butterflies to admire, and plenty of amenities to boost your camping experience - a shower and sink, trashcan, clean portopotty, a shelter to keep yourselves and your belongings from getting wet, and electrical hookup. Can't wait to come back.

This spot was everything we were looking for! Ample space for the kids to run around, privacy from the few cars that passed by on the road, and we all felt safe during our stay.
Ian greeted us when we arrived and showed us around his land a bit. He’s a super friendly host and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay on his land and would love to return one day!

We had a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp! The space was big, wide open, and perfect for our family to spread out and enjoy nature. The host was very responsive and made everything super easy. Highly recommend this spot—we’d definitely stay again!

This is a very well maintained (new!) site, that while right off the road is very private, and perfect if you want some privacy and easy access to Indiana Dunes and the local sights. Not a huge fan of Michigan City, but this local area had some nice restaurant and convenience store/gas stations/gift shop. Indiana Dunes state park itself is extremely nice with a more traditional beach, and great trails. The town of Beverly Shores is this weird little enclave right along the coast, it's got a really nice little scenic drive along the coast but you can't park anywhere without a parking pass, sort of reminiscent of the snobbier coastal towns up in New England. There's a national park beach down the road but it's a bit of a hike to the beach from the parking lot. This is a premium location if your rig/trailer is able to fit in, larger RVs and trailers won't fit. Really enjoyed the site and the host!

We camped with our ALiner here for the 4th of July weekend. This spot did not disappoint. Geoff was a great host and gave us so many pointers - where to go to the beach, where to eat, etc. Our kiddos loved watching all the trains go by our spot. The space was spacious and you can tell Geoff put a lot of care into it.
The beaches nearby are lovely and just down the road. Our only suggestion would be to have a porta potty on site. :)

The property was amazing and so was Ian, the owner! We loved the spot. Far enough inland to experience the country but only 30 min from multiple amazing beaches. The accommodations and upgraded he added to the property were thoughtful and appreciated. Highly recommended.
