Tranquil Falls

3 sites · RVs, Tents52 acres · Leonard, MI
Our beautiful family farm is a 52 acre paradise. Rolling hills in the pasture and fields around a large and medium pond fading into 22 acres of hardwoods with a small seasonal stream cutting through the forest from an elevated point creating multiple small drops that is a soothing sound of falls. Our wooded land wraps around an amazing beaver swamp that has some beautiful views from the ridge around it. The ponds are filled with smaller fish to have fun with. There are 2 lakes within 5 miles to put a boat in and go fishing as well. One of the lakes has a nice clean beach to go swimming that has kayak and paddle board rentals. We have a canoe for rent to get on our ponds. Biking and hiking trail entrances are less then a mile from the property. A county park is 15 minutes away that offers more fishing and boat rentals as well as A full disc golf course. There is a nice quiet 18 hole golf course a half mile from the property. We have multiple municipal nature trails in the area and are 5 miles from downtown Oxford with many attractions and restaurants. Here you will most likely see our chickens, ducks, goats and horses. Per appointment you can even hang out with us and our Clydesdales Bonnie, Patriot and thoroughbred Cooper. There is also an abundance of wildlife that can be seen and is not limited to deer, coyotes, turkeys and all types of water fowl. You should know that you will most likely hear gunfire while staying here as it is a part of daily life in our area. We hope you come and enjoy our land as much as we do.

Camping on our Organic Farm

7 sites · RVs, Tents138 acres · North Branch, MI
WHAT'S NEW ON THE FARM IN 2023 This year we are expecting two foals (baby horses). One the end of April and one around the Fourth of July. We are also milking a family cow for our own milk as well. Her name is Daisy and her calfs name is Maple. Maple was born in March on the maple full moon. We do a calf share where the calf is with her mom part of the time and we are still able to milk her. Our mini horse, Annabell is now pulling a cart and giving rides! So much fun! We will have Great Pyrenees puppies from end of April through mid July. Come and spend some time with them! We also have two new additions to the farm. A pony mule, named Molly, in which I am planning to train to pull a cart and a cream colored pony, named Whinny as well, for riding. ABOUT DOREEN I’m an entrepreneur. I’m all about health and taking care of the mind, body and spirit. I’m an organic farmer, an animal nut, health coach, mindset mentor and Psych-K facilitator. I have six children and hosted three foreign exchange students. I love kids, animals (especially horses) and nature. I love anything and everything about health and personal growth and well being. ABOUT THE FARM We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, a few ducks, chickens, a couple goats, a mini horse and outdoor cats on our farm. We have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly. You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021) and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment. Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there. After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! It is greatly appreciated!

The homestead originally settled in the 1830's has been in continuous farming operation since that time. We purchased the farm from the family in 2015 and have continued to operate it as a homestead. Including managing the forest as well as the farmable land. There are so many wonderful finds from the insects to the star gazing all available on this wonderful piece of land. Join us as we explore and appreciate all that nature has to offer. Learn more about this land: Beautiful secluded area under the 17 foot circumference oaks and maple stands. Learn the history of the great rock in the woods along with the history of the homestead. Organic practices on the farm have brought back butterflies, dragonflies, birds, fox, deer and many other wonderful creatures. The homestead is a working farm with produce, chickens, turkeys, guinea fowl, ducks, goats and pigs watch all the farm activity from your campsite. The camping area is large enough for several tents while being secluded from life on the farm. Wonderful area to explore the 22 acres of woods or come visit the working 18 acres of organic farm land. Looking for both the quiet and some fun, we are located approximately two miles from the St. Clair river offering great restaurants, beaches, and shopping.

Rock'n K Camp

5 sites · RVs, Tents40 acres · Millington, MI
My husband and I bought this farm a few years back after farming the land for many years. The property was once a working farm and has many old farm buildings. We fell in love with the country charm of this farm that once housed chickens, cows, and many other farm animals. The grain bin has been renovated into a gazebo with a bar top made out of 50 year old rough sawed planks. There is plenty of grass and shade to park your RV or pitch your tent. We have had many camping weekends with family and friends and would be delighted to share our "happy place" with others.
