Learn more about this land: We have an 80 acre homestead on a dirt road with clear, flat places to park an RV or vehicle and woods for camping or hiking. You can camp or park in several places around the property and have complete privacy from the house. You’ll need to bring your own drinking water and there are no restrooms available. There is an RV dump station 5 miles north at McCormicks gas station. Feel free to ask questions. We look forward to sharing our beautiful space with you. We are two “young” folks with a budding farm and homestead. We have horses, cows, free range chickens, and a load of barn cats around a 100+ year old barn. You are welcome to respectfully interact with the animals, but be careful of the electric fence! Our rural setting is quiet and peaceful. There is often a herd of deer in the fields at dusk. Yet, we are only ~15 minutes from Lake Michigan and ~30 minutes from Grand Haven or Grand Rapids. The Musketawa Trail is 4 miles directly north.

Direct access to a seasonal road, adjacent to the DNR headquarters and many trailheads. Miles of trails for hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. Allegan county allows ATV usage on county and seasonal roads (with appropriate permit sticker), you can drive for miles on your own or join a community ride! Hunting or exploring is not permitted on our property, but you are welcome to rest and relax in our sites and then adventure into state game land during hunting season. The deer are our friends and we want them to see this property as a safe haven.

This is a lovely little set of sites with a real 'back-woods' feel. I think it would be ideal for a group of friends to share several sites and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Alegan Game Preserve - almost a wilderness. Sites and loo are well-tended, although recent heavy rains displaced some of the mulch base. Right on the fringe of cell service - reduced distraction!

Beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere! If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing weekend or night away this is great. Plenty of free space to move around and take the dogs for a walk. Big fan of listening to nature and it did not disappoint. I think my favorite part was hearing two great horned owls talk to each other for a while. Honestly one of the most relaxing weekends I’ve had in a while. Erin was great and friendly! She checked in before and during the trip making sure everything was going great

Enjoyed a quick camping trip with our camper. Site was pretty flat and tons of space for set up. Being next to the woods, we thought bugs would be an issue but we didn’t notice any mosquitoes or flies. Would recommend for a quiet, private getaway.

The land was just beautiful! I wish we had gotten there earlier and could stay longer to enjoy but it was a very peaceful beautiful place to stay while passing through.. I enjoyed a nice early walk with the pup and saw so many deer .. it was really just beautiful I hope to visit again and visit longer and enjoy 😊

The site is an open field. You could camp anywhere along the two track road. We chose to stay close to the main dirt road. It was very quiet, no one else was there, and we had a beautiful sunset. We did not interact with the hosts - for us there was no need. We just followed their instructions and pulled up to the site. We only stayed one night as we were heading north to the UP. All in all we would recommend staying here if you are self sufficient and are only staying a night or two.

Great weekend at Mike’s place. We appreciated the privacy and beauty of the lot as well as the fire pit and dry firewood. We had a fire every evening. Shopping is close by as is Saugatuck Dunes State Park for hiking. There is a nice bike trail we unfortunately did not get too. Checkout out Pennyroyal Cafe for good food. We definitely recommend his place.

This site was AMAZING!! So beautiful and secluded and private. Deep in the middle of some awesome public land. We felt like we were in the wilderness. Saw all sorts of wildlife and did not hear a single sign of humans. The site was right off a dirt road that was easy to get to in any type of vehicle but in the entire time we were there only one vehicle came down the dirt road. There were incredible hiking trails a hundred yards from the site that went for miles and were so wild and scenic. We have stayed at many HipCamp sites before but this one blows all others away. 12/10 would recommend!
