Occasional howls from distant coyotes and infrequent raccoons. The campsites are located on a hill dominated by tall pines overlooking the east facing property. Secluded, but only a 700 feet from the main residence. Only 1 1/2 miles P.J Hoffmaster's State Park and a 10 minutes ride to Grand Haven State Park/Lake Michigan. Campsites are rustic but we provide camp toilets, a picnic table and a waste container. Fresh water is available at the barn. We also provide a shelter with picnic tables and a charcoal park grille. A large community fire pit is available with wood provided for a small cost by the hosts. When arriving please drive to the end of the driveway towards the last house. The Flipside Acres sign will be on your right side. Drive down the gravel entrance and park where indicated by the red barn. All sites are a short walk from the parking area (500ft) and carts are provided for your use. If needed, we can also provide transportation using our UTV. Tent sites are not accessible by car.

This fun property is just under 7 acres - butted up to another 12 acres of public land (and boat launch) with trails, boardwalk and a dock on 51 acre Lake Eleven. The property is shared by (2) full-hook up RV sites and a cabin. If available, the cabin and sites may be rented together however the owners, Jim and Maria, use the cabin much of the summer leaving just the RV sites available. The property is at mile market 13 of the Kal-Haven Trail - the midpoint. The Kal-Haven Trail is a biking, cross-country skiing, walking, running, snowmobiling - you name it, the trail that goes 34 miles from Kalamazoo to South Haven. Literally steps from the property and you are on the trail. But you may not need to leave the property, with 6.3 acres of woods and field, with trail cut through PLUS the added public lands butted up to Tincan's property line, giving almost 20 acres to roam. Each RV site - far enough apart to be separate, close enough if you and friends/family want to camp together, has a fire pit and fireplace. Each RV site offers water, 30|50AMP electrical and septic. The dock may have availability for keeping you boat - please inquire. There are kayaks and some bikes (mostly teen and adult size) that may be used. These are shared amenities for the cabin and campsite guests and offered on a first come, first serve basis. There are surprises galore around the property; big foots to be found tucked around the property, games, and overall just a fun place to be. This was a run-down fishing cabin Jim and Maria lovingly brough back to life as a second home and they delight in sharing it. Jim often referred to it as "The Tincan" while working on it as it was - indeed, a tin shack and the name stuck. Kate, your booking coordinator, helps Jim and Maria tend to the administrative side of getting the property booked and keeping the details in order. From kayaking, canoeing, hiking, tubing, Muskegon river Dragon bike trail. Croton & Hardy Dam are both within minutes. I am also on the M.O.R.E. bike trail. ( Michigan Off Road Expedition ) Within just a few miles from both the White Pine Trail and the NCT. So, if your on a trail, need a break. I got you a spot! 12 Miles from Newaygo, and only a few miles from local dinning and lounges. 6 Miles from Croton dam. Which is one of the most popular drop off spots for tubing, kayaking, canoeing.. 6 miles from Howard City, Where you can hit the White Pine Trail. 3 miles off 131, and just 25 minutes from Big Rapids. If you like camping WITHOUT 200 others, you'll love this. Each site is stocked with wood. this is limited. Additional wood can be purchased, for longer stays, please message in advance. Horseshoe pits, along with community fire pit. Each site has its own fire pit for privacy. With more being added all the time. With Golfer's Putter Pool coming next on the playing field! All sites are a foot ball field from my dwelling. All sites are stocked with a limited amount of wood, daily.

Nice spot with a concrete pad not too far from 31. A bit of road noise, but it quieted down at night. I was there for a quick stay, so, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to enjoy the trails.

The layout of the campsites is very privately cozy and well maintained. Nicely flat ground areas for tents, and many opportunities for hammock spaces in the area. The evening solar lights keep the sites well-lit and very inviting. The campfire kettle rings and swivel grill are very functional for camp cooking. The hobby farm animals are very entertaining to watch, and it was very fun to help Pamela feed them during their feeding schedules. The composting toilet is very clean and well kept. Cellular service is very limited, but accessible north near the farm and south near the property line. Many supplies were available in addition to the site bookings and were greatly appreciated. I will definitely be returning :)

The camp spot on Luke's farm was lovely. While we requested the kayaks for their pond, we did not end up using them. The space was very private. We had a little trouble getting to the space as the direction listed in the booking did not land you immediately into the space, but more like adjacent. We arrived late and it was dark out so we had a tough time knowing where to turn, there was very little signage to indicate where exactly to go, and we did not have the best cell service. We made it to their farm and we were given a map. Overall, i would stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful time out in nature. The views of the autumn foliage were abundant. Thank you!

2 nights at WestSide Pride City Camp

Christopher’s spot worked perfectly for us. My husband and I drove our motorhome three hours hours to Grand Rapids to listen to Doug Tallamy (Author of Nature’s Best Hope and founder of Homegrown National Park) at the Sherman Street Church just 12 minutes away. When we arrived at Michigan Cherry Tree it was as simple as pulling into the driveway. The spot was perfectly level and Chris had the extension cord ready for us to plug in to. We joined hanging around the fire pit for a bit before heading to bed. Slept well and arose the next morning to enjoy time hanging out in the beautifully planted yard with all the flowers, hummingbird, butterflies, bees and other pollinators. We will definitely stay again next time we visit Grand Rapids.

Francesco was so helpful and the site was great; plenty of space for our hammocks and a nice fire pit. We had a strange issue with the neighbors riding back on four wheelers to stare at us from their property twice; otherwise the site was spacious and private. Francesco assured us they haven't had issues with these neighbors before so hopefully it was a one off!
