When we arrived and discovered we did not have our crank for our pop up Dean went and made us a crank we could use in his own garage. Talk about above and beyond. Besides Deans kindness, we also enjoyed campfires, looking at the stars and looking at his wife's beautiful Dahlia garden.

Fantastic place! We loved the orchard and host Dan was very accommodating he took us back to a secluded spot with lots of room. The next morning we enjoyed the fresh baked goods and may items at the farm store. We would definitely stay again.

My partner and I tent camped at the Fairway Pilot lot on Dean and Jackie's land and had the most beautiful experience! We booked the site at 11am the day we planned to show up and got there around 4pm. We were directly next to the bridge which connected to walking trails through the woods and had a creek at the back side of our site. The fire ring was large and allowed for amazing fire cooked meals, and the outhouse was a short walk away-always lit at night and easy to find. We purchased a wheelbarrow of firewood and collected some fallen sticks in the woods to use in the morning and nights. It was late summer and they had flowers blooming in the garden-just stunning! The entrance to the property was easy to find and marked by pink flags, and we were greeted by Dean and his friend as we arrived. They had a cute self service market at the front with fresh cut flower bouquets, sourdough loaves and scones, hand made gifts and fresh eggs (which we stopped at on the way out). The property is 10 minutes from downtown Manistee-close enough to get what you need/explore the town but far enough away to have beautiful starry skies and quiet time without the state park hassle. Was such a great experience, and would definitely come back! 10/10!

Dean and Jackie are wonderful hosts. The property has a beautiful landscape and Jackie grows amazing flowers and bakes wonderful sourdough. There’s plenty of firewood and the hospitality makes for another trip back next year! Thanks Dean and Jackie!

Nice little area hidden away to camp in and close to Torch Lake. Some of the markers are falling off the trees but could still find the path to the fire pit. The map the owner sent helped tremendously!

A perfect quiet spot to visit Sleeping Bear. We also caught a fantastic sunset at Elberta Beach, just minutes from the camp spot. We stayed in our 31 travel trailer. There was plenty of room to circle our rig and back onto the gravel pad. The gravel pad was perfectly level, and the power and water hookups worked great. We'll definitely stay again if we're in the area.

As the listing says, this tent site is secluded and up a short hill. Dan provides a wagon to transport your gear easily. The outdoor shower is basic but met my needs for a hot shower in the morning! The campsite is quiet except for the occasional rooster crowing from a nearby farm. The stars are beautiful, and there is a U pick blueberry farm down the road.

The property is beautiful and quiet. Got a chance to look at the other sites and loved how diverse each spot is and can appeal to different people for different features. The little farm stand on the property is really nice with flowers and goodies. Will be back for sure! Got my eye on Elwood next 💚

This was a great spot to check out upper Michigan. It's around the corner to the Manistee Natl forest and a close drive or bike ride to all sorts of adventures. We went up to sleeping bear dunes. This site was excellent for Hammock camping. The creek and canopy was most excellent Mid August. There was a family of otters running through our camp at night! Deans property is nice and has an easy water spigot and a pretty decent outhouse. They asked us how we could improve and I think some of the sites could be spaced out a little more and the wood we paid the host for was very large and wet. We also paid for a tour we never got I should be just grabbed a dahlia bouquet for the road. Dean is super chill and helpful. He had another camper he knew personally help me out with a flat tire.
I had a great time id return!

Quiet and peaceful. Dan checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Loved the out door shower. Close to Fruithaven Preserve which had hiking through a beautiful forest and spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Just a few flight of stairs down and your on the beach.

This was a very pleasant site. Easy access to water and electricity. Nice new picnic table and fire pit with a cooking grate. The site was easy to locate just a couple of miles off US 31, the main road. Looking forward to a return visit next year,

Amazing campsite, tucked in a valley of sorts, it's private and beautiful. The creek is such a cool bonus and the hosts are amazing. Dean is so nice and went above and beyond to help my son and I out. Can't thank or recommend Dean and Jackie's place enough!

Dean and Jackies property was cute and suited our needs well for a single night of camping near our car! The campsites are all marked with nice little name cards and easy to locate. We didnt meet Jackie but Dean was very nice/knowledgeable about the area and seemed so ecstatic to share the property with us. I would note that most of the cites are quite close together, so if you’re looking for maximum seclusion/privacy this probably isnt the spot for you. There was a larger group of college aged students there the same time as us who were a little loud (nothing crazy, but some noise), and their car headlights were right in our campground so any time they got something from their car at night it illuminated us/our tent. Nothing Dean and Jackie could have done about it, but something to be aware of when booking. Overall we had a very nice time and the flower garden was a lovely addition to our stay.
