Located in Clare county, Harrison is surrounded by 20 lakes within 20 minutes. Harrison is also known for its large amount of state land for recreational activities all year round. We are across the street from Little Long lake and right up the road from Budd Lake public boat launches. We have deeded lake access to Little Long Lake with use of our paddle boat and kayaks. We can provide parking with a boat, trailer, etc., but will need to be arranged prior to check-in. There are several restaurants, delivery options, and a grocery store right down the road. There is also a putt putt golf, skiing and snow tubing at Snow Snake, arcade, batting cages, bowling, indoor golf, ax throwing, beaches and Wilson State Park. If you have side-by-sides, quads, jeeps, snowmobiles, or dirt bikes, there are endless options with groomed trails in the area for you to ride all day long. Our property has two cabins on property, the Harrison Hideaway cabin and Wanderer's Hideaway that can be rented together for larger groups or rented separately. Please message me if you would like to rent both cabins for you and your guests. We are new to this process and want to make you and your guest feel accommodated with a 5 Star stay.

My wife and I are slowly starting up our own little farm. We have 2 indoor cats, 1 outdoor cat, a dog, chickens and two ducks. We are on 34 acres and have a river that runs through the middle of it. We are 10 minutes from Alma and 20 minutes from Mt Pleasant. Lumberjack park is about 2 minutes away and Stearns preserve is about 5 mins away where you can walk or ride bike on a nice paved trail. We have a small garden that we plant every summer and plan to start a small farm stand this year. We are in a quiet area with lots of wildlife. We have 1 spot near the house with a view of the river that can support electric hook for a smaller RV and can attach a garden hose for water if needed. We do have a “field” that RVs can use but there is no hook up and there ground may not be level. We have many options for rustic tent camping along the river. No public restroom available. We can also provide some fire wood for campfires for a small cost. Along the river fires are allowed but must be contained in a fire ring. If camping by the field fires will be dependent on conditions. We have 3 kayaks and a canoe that can be used with prior consent. There is a park up river where you can put in and then can exit at our house which is about an hour on the river. We are very new to this and just purchased a UTV so we will be able to start making trails and clearing areas. But for now, camping along the river you will have to walk (and carry belongings) through tall grass to the site you desire. Quiet time 11 pm. We are an easy going couple that just want to share this slice of paradise with others! WiFi available

My best friend and I took a much-needed girl's trip to C&A in August. Aimee's communication and directions were extremely thorough, and amenities were better than a hotel. We packed as if we were going camping, but quickly realized we way overpacked, as Aimee had thought of everything. Chad and Aimee are lovely humans and gave us our space but still made communication easily accessible when there were any questions. We loved our campsite and enjoyed soaking up the scenery, hammocks, and firepit. The bathhouse was fully equipped with toiletries, a mini fridge, a large sink, snacks, tea, and coffee maker. Cell service was spotty, but texts still came and went eventually. The geography of this part of Michigan is absolutely beautiful, and we will keep C&A in mind for future adventures.

The host go above and beyond for accommodating their guest. The cabin literally has everything that you need and all you have to bring is yourself and food! The lake is a short distance away and the water is clear and beautiful. We were able to enjoy lots of family time on the water and the cabin has tons of outdoor games to play as well and great outdoor seating even when it rains, it’s still beautiful highly recommend this cabin for your family, fun getaways even your fur babies. I did not personally stay in the Wanderer's Hideaway (I booked it in combination with Cindy and Travis's other property) but two of my friends slept there on our trip and said it was comfortable and worked well for their needs. The firepit area is lovely and relaxing in a hammock among the trees to read was so nice (plenty of space to add extra hammocks as well). Lots of room for parking (especially if you're also renting the larger cabin that backs right up to this one) and their dog did very well inside.

I rented both this property and Cindy and Travis's other listing, the Wanderer's Hideaway, for a group trip with friends. It worked out super well, with the two sites backing up to each other and the spacious, fenced-in yard (perfect for our two dogs!) inbetween. We had plenty of space for group activities and meals outside, loved the inclusion of the paddle boat and kayaks, and everyone enjoyed sitting on the front and back porches throughout the weekend. Would highly recommend a trip to the beach at Wilson State Park if you're wanting to swim - the lake access is more suited to just launching the small boats. Also just a warning that both staircases are a little precarious and that the only way to access the backyard from the house requires walking through the master bedroom (this wasn't clear from the photos). However, if you're planning to spend almost all of your time outside in the backyard like we did, this an excellent spot! Cindy and Travis provided so many fun amenities - we kept finding more and more fun things in the shed to use. Hosts were quick and easy to communicate with and provided lots of detailed directions so we had all the information we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Wow The Farm was awesome. The host was so cool and accommodating. Did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. What a beautiful piece of heaven. We had a bonfire by the river, enjoyed their chickens, ducks, dog. And the deer were abundant. So peaceful and relaxing. Thank you ladies we had a great time.

We had a great time. The cabin was nice and had everything we needed. The large fenced in yard was perfect for my Dogs to run around. The boat launch was close and the beach at Wilson state park was nice to hang out at during the day and use our wave runners. The only thing I would change is to add a gate near the side entrance of the house. The only way to the back yard is through the master bedroom or you have to walk down the stairs and around the house to gate.

Weekend Trip to Green Acres

James was a friendly and kind host. You could pull up close to the site. He met us and brought out a fire ring and wood for us to use, even helped set the fire. The pond was pretty, the land was mowed and there were many birds and deer around in the AM to wake up to. His indoor facilities were clean, newer and a treat for campers: shower, sink and private toilet (there was another indoor bedroom and bathroom facilities for the geodome guests). A full kitchen with stove, sink, fridge, coffeemaker to be shared between campers and geodome guests. Charge up your devices, get some potable water. We asked about his canoe / kayaks and he kindly offered to put them in the Au Sable River for a few hours — we asked him to come along. It was a nice place to land — we would return and recommend him. He is looking for suggestions, so bring them. Thanks, James!

My husband and I had a great weekend staying in the rustic tent only sites. We were there for 4 nights. The sites were fairly big and ours had plenty of shade. There was just a couple hours where shade was slim. Overall, we would be happy to stay on James Property again! The bathrooms and communal kitchen were a surprise bonus for us! Although we did not use the kitchen or showers, having a fully operational bathroom was amazing. My only advice if you plan on camping here is to bring tools to break down wood. There is plenty of free wood to use around, but we didn't have the tools to break it down.

Wanderers Hideaway was a cute and cozy place with the most fitting name! My boyfriend and I both thought it was the perfect place for a simple weekend stay with a taste of the outdoors. The electric fireplace maintained the cozy and comforting vibe especially during the winter, and having a small kitchenette was very useful for making our meals! Cindy and Travis have a very well thought out little place, with a cute guestbook everyone should make sure they sign!!
