Several hiking trails and locations to camp. There are multiple fire rings out back and plenty of fallen wood to burn or you can purchase seasoned split wood bundles on site. Suggested Local Attractions: The property borders a public golf course, downtown Lake Orion or Oxford are less than 1.5 miles as is public access to All-Sports Lake Orion(the lake) as well as others in the area. Dozens of miles of hiking/mountain biking trails. Bald Mountain State Park and Addison Oaks trailheads 2 and 3 miles respectively. Disc Golf courses. Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. At least a dozen breweries, distilleries, restaurants a couple miles away, easily able to walk/bike/drive.

Neal was a wonderful host with excellent communication throughout. Even directed us to a local dump station. The land is beautiful and we had a great time. Pretty quiet there too. Lots of wildflowers to look at, trails in the woods to walk, and sooo many different dragonflies - which were fun to watch. Fishing in the pond was nice too. Also saw a red squirrel, deer, and various birds. Very nice to reconnect with nature, as we are from the city!

I loved this place! So quiet and serene. Neal was an excellent host, even brought a new fire pit out bc the spot I chose didn’t have one close by. I was able to get in fine with my promaster class b, but after a good rain the road was a little dicey for 2WD. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a rustic, secluded camping experience where I could enjoy campfires, trees and the sounds of nature with my dog.
The forest is surrounded by quiet farm land and a pond. We even saw deer in the fields at dusk.
Thank you for offering this type of camping for people who love outdoors but find traditional campgrounds too congested.

I really enjoyed our stay here, it was the perfect place to try out our new truck bed tent. There was so much wood to collect from the forest to have a fire and enjoy the outdoors, I really got to enjoy the wild life. The outhouse is very cute. Michael was a very nice host and very informative and has great communication. If you’re looking to get away from the “city” with access to everything you need this is just that place for you.

This little hidden gem is perfect for those in southeast Michigan who want that up north feeling—without the long drive or the bears. The site I stayed at was incredibly spacious, and well laid out.
The amenities were thoughtful, with a fire extinguisher right at the pit making it the safest setup I’ve used. The trails were a nice bonus, good for a relaxed walk through the trees. Firewood was plentiful and good quality.
Because it’s not rural, you do occasionally hear traffic in the distance, but it fades into the background. At night, what stands out are the crickets and forest sounds.
Overall, it’s spacious, safe, well-stocked, and tucked away in the trees. I'm already planning my return trip!

We loved our stay under the stars, listening to all the birds and the frog concert was awesome. We had a great fire with all the wood that was in the forest. We absolutely enjoyed Mike's property. It was so peaceful and beautiful but not far from city amenities. Mike was very gracious and his wife even provided us with some natural flea and tick spray for our pups. We would highly recommend this hipcamp and hope to be back again in the future.
