No limit on number of sites. There are residential homes and quiet time is strictly 10pm until 8am, Fires are allowed. Neal was a wonderful host with excellent communication throughout. Even directed us to a local dump station. The land is beautiful and we had a great time. Pretty quiet there too. Lots of wildflowers to look at, trails in the woods to walk, and sooo many different dragonflies - which were fun to watch. Fishing in the pond was nice too. Also saw a red squirrel, deer, and various birds. Very nice to reconnect with nature, as we are from the city!

I loved this place! So quiet and serene. Neal was an excellent host, even brought a new fire pit out bc the spot I chose didn’t have one close by. I was able to get in fine with my promaster class b, but after a good rain the road was a little dicey for 2WD. Would definitely stay again if I’m in the area!

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a rustic, secluded camping experience where I could enjoy campfires, trees and the sounds of nature with my dog.
The forest is surrounded by quiet farm land and a pond. We even saw deer in the fields at dusk.
Thank you for offering this type of camping for people who love outdoors but find traditional campgrounds too congested.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and The Wind Down Depot didn’t disappoint. The property is beautiful with majestic woods, ponds and amazing trails throughout. Grassy Woods Edge is what it says - a nice flat grassy spot just off a country road up against the woods. Easy, but a little tight entry through the gate for our converted shuttle bus! Once in, no problem!

It is close to the country road so if you don’t mind the occasional passing car (3 or 4 per day) it is an otherwise peaceful, serene and beautiful grassy, woodsy spot. Sandra was responsive and helpful, Kirby was awesome (took me for a ride in his ratrod pick-up truck!) The town of Frankenmuth is 7 miles away and is an ABSOLUTE must see! (The town held a Bavarian Food Festival while we there. It is #1 in the state for tourism, WHO KNEW?) There is even a great local bar less than 2 miles away where we met such a cast of characters and had THE best time. If you are looking to get away, but also have the option for amazing nightlife AND a place to sight-see with the kids then you have found it. This place blew us away and we can’t say enough about it. DEF RECOMMEND. You get the best of both world’s here.
