Each day we feel blessed to live in an idyllic, peaceful spot and we would like to share the serenity we've found here.
We are less than a mile off Old 27, close to 127 and 5 miles to I-69 DeWitt Exit. Drop by and stay for a night on your way to your final destination or relax and stay for a few days,
Our first site is open for tent or RV. Our new heated barn has a flush-toilet, sink, shower, washer and dryer. Less than a mile down the road is our local tavern with good, affordable food and welcoming vibe.
Our home sits in the middle of a large clover lawn surrounded by woods, a pond and low-land meadow with high grass and wildflowers. Walking trails are cut through the woods and meadow providing ability to see deer, rabbits, dragonflies, butterflies, birds, cranes, blue and green heron and native flowers. We sometimes see raccoons, eagle, hawk, wood peckers, coyote and fox. During the day you'll see our ducks and chickens free-ranging and our sheep may join them or be in their pasture.
We have an active homestead farm and we are focused on building a thriving environment for pollinators.
Autumn brings the honey harvest and in the spring maple syrup... you're always welcome around the fire.

Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge.
Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away.
Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac)

My wife and I are slowly starting up our own little farm. We have 2 indoor cats, 1 outdoor cat, a dog, chickens and lots of ducks. We also starting a business called River’s Edge Lavender which will be a upick lavender and wild flower farm.
We are on 34 acres and have a river that runs through the middle of it. We are 10 minutes from Alma and 20 minutes from Mt Pleasant. Lumberjack park is about 2 minutes away and Stearns preserve is about 5 mins away where you can walk or ride bike on a nice paved trail. We have a small garden that we plant every summer that we use to stock our farm stand. Our farm stand provides veggies (when ready), chicken and ducks eggs, handmade crafts and items from our River’s Edge Lavender business.
We are in a quiet area with lots of wildlife. We have 1 spot near the house with a view of the river that can support electric hook for a smaller RV and can attach a garden hose for water if needed. No public restroom available. We can also provide some fire wood for campfires for a cost that is located on the farm stand . Along the river fires are allowed but must be contained in a fire pit.
We have 3 kayaks and a canoe that can be used with prior consent. There is a park up river where you can put in and then can exit at our house which is about an hour on the river.
We are new to hosting so please provide us with feedback! We are working on the campsites so suggestions are welcome to what can make it better. A porta potty will be available in the future.
Quiet time 11 pm. We are an easy going couple that just want to share this slice of paradise with others!

This was a great experience. Before we arrived our host (Kim) made contact with us, letting us know they looked forward to our arrival and added little things we needed to know. When we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and help getting our rig on site. (Took a little work & removal of mailbox). Nice level site. View was beautiful. Fire pit, grill, boat, fire wood, fire started logs. All provided!!! These are great host with an awesome location.

Kim and her husband were great! The site is very quiet and private. Great for bird watching as well. If you need anything, they are happy to help.
We were able to dock our bass boat easily on their dock and the community boat ramp was close by, just down the canal.
We'll likely return if we're back to that area of Michigan.

We adored this site. The view was beautiful, it was peaceful and quiet, right on the river but looking out onto Lake Huron.
At first, I wasn't crazy about being nestled between two houses, but you know what? It's more spread out than a state park campground and we camp at those often and it's RIGHT on the river. I so appreciate the hosts installing electric and everything here to share their little slice of heaven. They were so sweet to us and our son. I hope to come back again this camping season.
The awesome private deck offered great fishing and we enjoyed watching everyone going out to the big lake on their boats.
They provided chairs and firewood (actual good firewood, too, perfectly dry) which was so nice. We even woke up to a knock on the door with delicious homemade blueberry muffins.

Deer Path was a perfect get away for us. I was a little nervous about having neighbor's so close, but there was no need. The set up of the site and full hook ups felt very private. We loved sitting by the river and watching a Blue Heron fishing in the river as well as watching a herd of a dozen deer cross the river 100 feet from us. Megan stopped by to confirm that everything was perfect for our stay and it was. I highly reccommend this location with no reservations!

Our camp site was right on the Chippewa River. Beautiful view, quiet, and very relaxing. Full hookup was great. Even though there are homes near by, we did not notice.
