The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. If you're looking for a place of rest and peace, this is it! I traveled to Mary's property with my husband, two children (11 and 9), and two large dogs (Newfies). We had plenty of space, lots of privacy, and such a comfortable stay. Each of us wished we could have spent more time here! We rented the beehive cabin, library, and tipi. The cabin was plenty spacious for my whole crew and was so cozy and comfy. We slept very well, even on a futon! The library was the kids' favorite hangout. The outdoor kitchen was awesome, and even though our wood-fired pizzas looked terrible (don't forget flour!), they were fun to make and tasted great. Our pups appreciated being able to be off lead for the first time on our New England road trip. We made the most of every square inch of Mary's space. From a yoga workout on the meditation platform, to s'mores around the fire pit, there's something for everyone here!

Weekend Trip to Salamander Hollow Healing Habitat

If you’re looking for a place of peace and rest, this is it! I traveled to Mary’s property with my husband, children (11 and 9), and two large dogs (Newfies). Every single one of us loved it and wished we could stay longer. We rented the beehive cabin, library, and tepee. The cabin was plenty spacious for all of us, providing us great sleep, even on a futon! The library was the kids’ favorite place to relax and kick back. The outdoor kitchen was awesome, and even though our wood-fired pizzas looked awful (don’t forget flour to prevent sticking! 😅), they were fun to make and tasted great. We used just about every inch of the camp. I got in a morning yoga session on the meditation platform, and we roasted s’mores by the fire pit at night. Amenities and activities were close by, too! We hiked the Tully Mountain Loop Trail, and the views were beautiful! If you’re considering a visit, don’t hesitate! Both Mary and her property are one of a kind.

1 night at Jest-A-Bit Farm

I only stayed briefly overnight so I didn't have a chance to explore much of the area or amenities. The farm was clean and safe and a pleasant spot to stop for the night. It didn't feel very private, but I expected that from the listing and it was quiet so no complaints. Kelli was friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with by chat. Thanks again!

What a lovely place Danielle has. We thankfully were able to meet her in person this morning. The yard and woods were peaceful and filled with birds. She opened her lovely home to us and it was wonderful to sit in the living room in a morning sunbeam and do some work. Convenient location to friends and family in nearby towns. We hope to return if in the area again.

Weekend Trip to Clover Hill Farm ☘️

We really enjoyed our stay! The site was peaceful, secluded, and quiet exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of space to spread out, and the location was great with hiking close by. It felt private and safe, which made for a relaxing trip. Amanda was very helpful and I enjoyed communicating with her. One note for future campers: I’d recommend having all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, especially if the ground is wet. The site is accessible, but extra traction definitely helps. Overall, a great experience, would happily come back!

We weren't arriving early enough to pitch a tent but it was so convenient to stay at Danielle's. We weren't able to meet her as we arrived around 9 pm & she had already gone to bed. but she left lights on for us and gave us instructions for how to utilize the space. We were comfortable and slept well. Would definitely return in the future when passing through. She was easy to sign up with last minute as well (this was a last minute trip), so we appreciated that too.

Danielle's Hip Camp is a great option if you want to either stay inside a home with conveniences, or to camp in a private yard. Very quiet! Danielle is accommodating, and the house is comfortable.

The yard is private and the neighborhood very quiet. I loved the combination of camping and house amenities. I would definitely recommend it.
