Located on our private river bank this is on 3 acres of land shared by 2 personal glamping sites and a rustic group campsite. Our sight offers scenic views of sunrise on the riverbend as well as the New Richmond Swing Bridge, now open to pedestrian traffic only. The small county park next door offers a riverside boardwalk full of natural flora and wildlife for morning strolls or the delight of a fisherman who likes to be 1st on the water! Kayak and Canoe Rentals are also available on sight, best to reserve in advance. Hiking trails nearby offer a great way to explore the Allegan Forest or the lakeshore sand dunes. We are 7 miles east of Saugatuck and 5 miles north of Fennville, our site makes a perfect escape from the nearby lakeshore shopping and dining district while keeping you in close proximity to local wineries and other attractions. Just follow the paved road all the way to the end of 57th street and enter through our private drive. ....where the pavement ends, adventure begins! See ya at the river!

Only 30 minutes east of Grand Rapids, this property was established as a Youth Camp for 15 years is now a private event venue and campground, so it has nice amenities like FULL restrooms, a picnic shelter, and even a few small cabins that can be rented.
Cabins ARE SMOKE FREE and may not be used as kennels so please keep pets off furnature and don't leave them inside when you are gone. You must bring your own queen sheet set. Steam cleaning the mattress will be an extra charge.
Swimming beach is available in Lowell a few miles away.
Fishing rivers and lakes are also in the area. (live bait in Saranac)
Woods site and Open Area have a few different locations you can choose from.

There are a number of trails to walk on the 35 private acreage of rolling hills. This heavily wooded land hosts much wildlife and beautiful scenery. There is a sport court which provides opportunities to play basketball, volleyball, pickleball, or badminton. The property is a work in progress with lots of plans for the future; including a food forest, natural pool, recreation building (being built summer 2022), and more.. The Fred Meijer trail provides great biking or hiking opportunities. Lazy float tubing or kayaking down the flat river is very popular and only a short walk away. Horse back riding, golf courses, and an amazing local bakery all within a couple miles. And a fun sport court (basketball hoop, volleyball/badminton/pickelball net all right on site!

We have about 40 acres and trails through the area for exploring. You just may come across some "forts" constructed by some of our grandchildren. There is a large fire pit and plenty of firewood for a minimal cost. (Large trash can full. ) If you listen in the evening, you are likely able to hear a couple of owls talking back and forth. Usually you can see some deer and maybe some turkeys. There are many old pines around the property, the last remnants of our Christmas tree farm.
There is no electricity in the cabin, but we do have two solar lights and some battery lights. If it's been rainy, the solar won't last as long as usual. If it's chilly, we do have a portable heater available.
We have cornhole game available upon request and some table games kept in cabin. If you want to go biking, there is a trail in town, about 5 miles away.

The property was originally owned by a family name Nichols (thus the name of the lake). It was handed down to the sons who each owned half the property. The driveway down the middle of property that leads to the lake was originally a fence line that divided the two pieces of property. The brothers did not get along and their are several stories of their warring on how to maintain the property.My parents bought this piece of property in 1964 and created a camp called "Lakeside Farm Camp", a small all boys camp. The camp has gone through several changes since then but has always been owned by the Edwards family. In 1984 the name was changed to "Cedar Lodge" a coed camp that specializes in English horseback riding and offering high level general camp activities. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our totally private fresh water lake. Take your boat out for a day of fishing or just chill next to the fire. Sites are approximately 50 feet from each other. We had a great time here - Cathy was very welcoming and took time to give us a tour of the cabin, making sure we knew everything we needed to be comfortable. The cabin itself was very comfortable, and the location was isolated and peaceful but still not too far from town when we needed something. Sitting by the fire pit at night was lovely. We hope to make it back again!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It’s beautifully built and everything was well stocked and maintained. Cathy was very hospitable and the pie was incredible. We loved cooking dinners over the fire and walking all the trails. We saw chipmunks, a baby deer, lots of birds, and a fox. Definitely recommend this place!

The owners were very helpful with directions to the cabins, and we had an awesome time exploring the grounds and meeting the horses in the morning. Would highly recommend!

On our first visit to KOHOA, we stayed at the purple house, which has an incredible view of the river below. The accommodations were just what we needed for our son and dog: clean with lots of space, a tv for a movies during the rain, a great fire pit area with room to spread. Each of the sites at this property have a good distance between them so it felt private for us. It was a great area to explore with my son who enjoyed searching for animals like red squirrels and frogs.
While my family and I live in Chicago, we often look for stays in southwest Michigan. We enjoyed our proximity to Michigan's coast. This time it meant going to Holland for the start of their tulip season and festivities, but we were also so close to Benton Harbor and St Joseph.

Very cool historic cabin surrounded by a marsh. My dog had a great time exploring the area. The owners put in a great propane heater and I had a nice warm evening in the cabin. Would definitely return!

Weekend Trip to Life Adventures
Beautiful place & peaceful. I’d you want a nature break, this is the spit for you.. Camp host was on site briefly, his dog Luke kept me company for most of my stay. Already planning a visit next summer when I come to the area.
Few things to note:
*Bring a flashlight, it’s dark when walking to the restroom.
*There are bugs & Spiders everywhere, it’s nature.
*Futon in cabin-s isn’t comfortable, I slept in my zero gravity chair..
*Breathe, and have fun..

Weekend Trip to Baggins Inn
An amazing place to stay if you are looking for a private rustic getaway! My boyfriend and I picked this site to take our 9mo old puppy camping for the first time and it was an incredible experience. We did a lot of hiking, cooking, and relaxing. We saw deer, possums, and turkeys! Just remember to do tick checks!

We had a great time here. Stephen is accommodating and friendly. Luke, the dog, is a perfect gentleman who escorted me to the restroom in the night. We noticed that Cabin M is equipped with an EV charger if that is important to you. We were end of season camping but found everything to be as expected and we plan a return visit in the spring.

Group trip
Great spot. We were the only cabin, so lots of privacy and the bathroom to ourselves. We rented a canoe and purchased firewood, they were ready and waiting upon our arrival. Lake was great to canoe around. Trail loop was short and sweet, but a nice walk through the woods. Seeing the horse get let out in the afternoon was really nice.
