Sunrise Farm Sites 1 and 2 have oodles of space and Spectacular 50 mile views of Mount Monadnock with no house lights out there in the evening except the party string lights we provide. Site 1 (with entrance 70 yards south of the farmhouse) is best for camping in with up to 20 foot trailers or multiple tents …on the large flat spaces in the 25 acre field to choose from. Great Well water available near farmhouse. Biodegradable soaps Only if used in the ponds. Double Olympic sized Swim Pond we stock with Rainbow Trout to keep clear. We have been advised Not to allow imported firewood (can import Wood Beetle dangerous for our forest). - PLEASE use the Firewood bundle tubs we provide ($12.50) - pick up at the farmhouse or pull wood from the woods (and make it safer for use). The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The sites are only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Fox Farm is located on 8 magical acres in eclectic Brattleboro, VT. Pitch your tent in a sacred private white pine forest or closer to the trail-head with access to a charcoal grill, a huge fire circle and a picnic table. If you prefer a roof over your head, check Fox Farm Cottage @ Fox Farm. Located ideally on a trail-head that leads to the West River Trail (a 36-mile scenic trail through the West River Valley – eventually linking Brattleboro, Dummerston, Newfane, Townshend, Jamaica and South Londonderry) and the West River, offering opportunities to hike, fish, swim, ski, snow shoe and bike. The Marina Bar and Restaurant is a 2 mile hike or bike ride from the camp site (via the West River Trail) and is a fun way to see the beauty of Vermont and partake in some excellent indoor/outdoor dining with views of the water. Currently there are two areas available to campers; The Pine Forest and the Council of the Elders. The Pine Forest is a shaded circular area that is very spiritual and quiet. There are currently 3 camp sites in the Pine Forest. The Council of the Elders is a more open (again circular) area that abuts The Pine Forest and has a large fire pit as it's centerpiece, surrounded by the Elder Pine trees. I have had up to 2 campers and an occasional van/camper at the Council of the Elders. I have most recently had requests to book the entire Pine Forest for guests who are traveling together and want privacy- and Ido my best to work with people to accommodate any needs. Please bring your own firewood if you intend to have a fire. I offered wood to guests in the past when I was able but found that tricky to manage as there are times I myself am out of wood. There is plenty of felled wood all around as the property is surrounded by a dense forest and guests are welcome to gather that to supplement fire making. In my experience as a host, I have noted that folks come together and build mini-communities, share food, fires and is generally a positive vibe. Some come for privacy and solitude, which has not been an issue thus far. All in all the energy is upbeat and folks make friends along the way- me too! Brattleboro is a funky, hipster town with many excellent restaurants and much to see and do. For winter enthusiasts Mount Snow is a 30 minute drive and folks can cross country ski and snowshoe right from their camp sites to the 36 mile trail. The Hipcamper can expect privacy yet easy accessibility to the homeowner for tips and ideas to support a positive experience. Campers may be greeted and visited my friendly Bernese Mountain Dog's, Loki Bear and Levi!

Weekend Trip to Bent Apple Farm

Perfect snow get away. Wood burning stove and heater kept us warm, even with just one. Enjoyed listening and looking through the vinyls. Loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking and the comfy bed. The cabin was cute and felt very lived in. It was a nice surprise to see a journal of how many people stayed there, especially during Covid, very lovely notes people left! Only down side - couldn’t stop sneezing at times, lots of dust in the crevices of the wood floor and fabric. Also wish there was a bit more privacy at the door and hot tub, could see the guest next door. Overall definitely would recommend and stay again!

This was my second time staying at Mary's marvelous Kula Bata Tiny Cabin. It is such a peaceful palace that makes it easy to unplug and recharge, and the infrared sauna is such a treat! Mary is always so kind, attentive and responsive to any questions or concerns that arose before or during our stay. I cannot wait to return again in the near future!

Gorgeous location! What a cool spot. Directions brought us right up the road that runs between the two main houses- Your classic white antique farmhouse on the left & the newer house on the right. Just past the house & down around back, we loaded up 2 big bins of firewood & headed down the hill to the campsite entrance on the right. There are 2 ponds along the road where RV's & vans can park, no fire pits, & kind of out in the open for us. The lower pond & camp site was lovely, but little tricky to get our little schoolie parked in close to the fire pit area, plus it was a bit wet & mushy, (understandably, in late November) so we decided to walk down & see if there was a dryer option. We found a few more drive-in campsites each with picnic tables, fire pits, a little outhouse & level, nicely woodchipped, tent spots. It's all pretty obviously marked with painted signs & little solar lights. Its adorable. We parked our bus down there since it was cold as heck & we wanted to be very close to a bonfire! This area was also more private, in the edge of the woods under the trees. We had the whole place to ourselves. We had a huge bonfire, while it lightly snowed. Beautiful.
