Maple Grove Farm

Maple Grove farm is a twenty acre preserved livestock and hay farm in Harford County Maryland.  It is home to sheep, alpaca, an old horse, chickens , dogs, and a cat or two. 

The world headquarters for Remsberg Inc Photo Studios is in the older farmhouse on the property and we lead photo safaris and workshops in Africa and England through the year.

Our crack team of Border Collies are here to assist you with all your outdoor activity needs from frisbee tossing to ball throwing. Gather around the fire under the stars and listen to the sounds of sheep doing whatever it is sheep do with one of our loaner dogs at your feet and horses grazing in the sunset on the hill. 

When the weather is nice we occasional show movies by the barn drive in style and try to have one or two outdoor concerts each season. 

We are only three miles from W42 (Fallston Airport) if you are flying in. Nearby there are hiking trails and a swimming hole at Gunpowder Falls State Park one mile away.  Boordy Vinyards down the road has a farmers market Thursdays and wine tastings other days or get homemade ice cream at Prigel Creamery just past it. Take your canoe up to Eden Mill or Bike on the Ma & Pa and NCR trails nearby.

Historic Mill Creek runs adjacent to the River Trail and Creek Trail from camp all the way out and around The Wildlands Camp. You can cross over the creek onto Pennsylvania State Public Land to access the Susquehanna River.

Mill Creek Falls Retreat LLC

Mill Creek Falls Retreat Center was run as a church camp named Camp Donegal for about 50 years before the previous owners purchased the property in 2018. We purchased it from them in the fall of 2021.  The cabins and public spaces to host families, weddings and corporate retreats have been updated and we continue to make improvements.

You will have a beautiful pastoral view with whoever is being rotated through that pasture at the time.  Chickens, Turkeys or Cows may be your neighbours on any given day.  

Redemption Springs Farm

Come stay in the tranquil beauty of the Maryland countryside, conveniently located in Finksburg MD just 10 minutes from the heart of Westminster MD. Here you can cuddle with the cows, hang out with the hogs, and chill with the chickens. A family-run, working small farm, built in the 1800s, we are dedicated to improving the land, soil, plants, and wildlife, through Regenerative Agriculture with all-natural, chemical, hormone, anti-biotic, and GMO-free methods. We raise and breed Rare Heritage Livestock in a conservation program to keep these genetic lines alive and diverse. Several of our breeds are listed on the Slow Foods Ark of Taste. Our farm practices invite loads of wildlife, including herons, fox, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, deer, bald eagles, red-tailed hawk, and more.

Esidarap Mountain

Campsite:

We were inspired to make a campsite from having friends camp here with us on a whim. They suggested we have more people come up here to camp. They told us about Hipcamp and we looked into. Since then we have mowed, removed dead standing trees, built a privy, cleared brush, graded the site, cut firewood, and many more projects to enhance the site. We named the camp Esidarap. Can you tell what Esidarap backwoods is.

for the winter months we are closed, will reopen in march. The furthest we are open at any given moment is about six months

Description of camp:

At this camp we only allow one group at a time for privacy. The campsite is a big level hilltop clearing surrounded by acres woods. We have a stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service.

The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, a charcoal cooking pit, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it.

The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails that are marked with fluorescent ribbon. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer.

Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. There are many excellent restaurants and brewpubs nearby, including the award winning Warehouse Gourmet Bistro and Brewpub. Pricing/Offers:

*If people do not book the site within a few days of availability we may lower the price. So if you are unsure please click on the days you wish to camp and check the price. Also holidays are priced a little more like 4th of July, Memorial Day, and labor day

We have a weeknight discount for the site which is 29 dollars (Sunday-Thurdsay nights). Friday night and Saturday night we charge 35 dollars. Any additional guests after five we charge 9.50 dollars per person. We allow up to 10 guests total. We have some available offers listed on our site that you may purchase when you book the site. Things we ask:

Extinguish camp fires that are unattended and to only make them in the designated fire pit/ BBQ pit, no noise past 9 o'clock, discharging of firearms and fireworks are prohibited, do not bring firewood (in order to prevent invasive bug spread), please keep your pets attended/on a leash, clean up after your pets, be respectful of wildlife (take memories leave only footprints), and have fun.

This is the main spot. Here is the fire pit, table, bench, seats. Off in the distance you can see the privy. The camp clearing is surrounded by forest which is all apart of the property.

Old school Boondocking has returned through Hipcamp!

Nice and clean, we do provide toilet paper and clean the privy between campers. Also has a light and brocheures of things in the area.

This is our outdoor camp shower/ changing room. It is completely covered and private. To open it just unhook it.

Inside you can see there are hangers for clothing and a shelf for your items. The rope can be hoisted for shower bag and tied off easily.  We do not provide a shower bag

Fawn View Farm, Pond & Fields

Our farm is right on the Mason Dixon line. The area has a wonderful community and a lot of open space which we love and have placed into land preservation so it can remain that way forever. We host private events, educational farm tours, have dairy cows across the road and cheese & eggs available on site to sell. Lots of hiking options within a 10 min drive, 3 breweries within 10 minutes, 2 vineyards within 20 minutes and a handful of local restaurants and eclectic find stores within a 10 min drive.
