This is a great place to camp! It's very private and quiet. The star gazing is great. Our spot was very shaded and wooded with electric hook ups and a hose. The hosts are very nice and communication was easy.

Our weekend at Shine & Rise was exactly what we needed! Jay was super responsive and I highly recommend getting the farm tour - my partner enjoyed asking questions about the farm and it was the perfect end to our trip. Campsite was spacious and Jay provided a large picnic table and a toilet for us which was great. Short drive to Cape Charles and Savage Neck and there’s a Walmart 9 minutes away if you forgot anything.

Perfect for a large group. Very spacious spots, isolated. The location is perfect for a nice walk to the beach. The host is very responsive he keeps the place nice and clean. We asked to use the pool and it was refreshing for the summer heat. This is one of my favorites spots and I would definitely stay again before the end of summer.

4 nights at Shine & Rise Magic Food Forest

We enjoyed 4 nights in our camper on Jay’s property. He was a great host providing us with lots of firewood for our campfires which we cooked on every day. The campsite is secluded, peaceful and we were able to visit lots of eastern shore sights from the property. Jay gave us lots of recommendations of places to go which we appreciated. Our dog was happy to be able to run around the property, too.
