This property and farm has been in our family for 3 generations. In 1964 my grandfather started the campground due to limited camping at New Germany. My father tells stories of it being filled with guests all summer long! Over the years there was few upgrades and now it's in need of a facelift. Landscaping, electric upgrades and bathhouse remodels were completed Spring 2021. We will continue to renovate in phases it's been a labor of love, but you can still see the beauty of this rural location and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hope you enjoy your stay. Lots of trees, shade and nature. It's located near New Germany State Park, 1.5 miles by car, less than a mile by foot. The state park has a lake and hiking trails. Garrett County has so much to offer, waterfalls, lakes, hiking, skiing, Amish gifts, history, fresh air, beautiful scenery. The campground was first started in 1964 by my grandparents, we are currently completing renovations in phases.

About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

Our cabin is located on Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland where most of land is either State parks or forests because of its natural beauty and recreational value. The area is an all season resort where you can enjoy the lake and beach as well as various outdoor activities such as hiking, boating, fishing, sail boarding, hiking, and horseback riding most of the year. In winter with up to 100 inches of snow, you can ski, snow board, and tube at the near by Wisp Ski Resort or cross country ski at several State parks managed for it during winter. The fall is celebrated for the color change of the trees by the Fall Fest in mid October. Current renovations for 2025 include new flooring throughout, new base cabinets, and other minor improvements. In a nutshell, we loved the Yabin! The property is very laid-back and accessible. The cozy outside area with a fire pit and seating area is right outside the door of the Yabin. It is much bigger and more sturdy than we imagined. So much space with many nice touches. The woodstove kept everything nice and cozy overnight. The beds were so comfortable! Andrea could not be more accommodating and she is very communicative. If you decide to book, before you pack for your trip, make sure you check with Andrea. She really has thought of just about everything you will need. I can’t wait to go back!

Kristen was the sweetest host. The Acorn Palace was so cozy, clean, and full of snacks. It was my kids first time camping and it was just wonderful. She truly thought of everything to make our stay wonderful. Heat, AC, electric, hot showers, fully stocked kitchenette, our kind of camping. Can’t wait to return, would be a very romantic getaway with the husband.

Weekend Trip to CLOUD NINE VICTORIAN FARM

Camping at Tamara's was relaxing and an overall pleasant experience. Watching the sunrise over the mountains in the morning, warming up by the fire at night, and spending days with the sweet animals was a blessing. Between the arts and crafts (really fun for little ones), learning about historical tools (think Little House on the Prairie), and improving my skills for fire building and cooking over a fire, this was a delightful and educational experience. The location is near hiking trails with great views, and near several ice cream shops (a great treat after a good hike). Tamara is a good host. This is definitely a location that I hope to return to.

Furnished cabin is now available for those without camping equipment. Cabin is heated and air conditioned. Comfortable in any weather. Sleeps 4.

My son and I had such a great time. The dogs are so friendly and fun. The property is gorgeous. The portable toilet is the cleanest I’ve EVER used. So unique and fun, highly recommend. For someone just easing back into camping, this was a great start and safe!

We had a wonderful time at Tamara’s farm. We were welcomed with farm fresh eggs and firewood our first evening where we sat bye the fire and cooked yummy hot dogs and corn. Our teens stayed in a tent - their first time camping in a tent and loved the experience. In the morning we took a long morning walk taking in all the nature - the weather was fabulous. Tamara shared some of the history of the region and we spent the afternoon hiking in the mountains where there was an overlook which was stunning. If your looking for time out in nature in a rustic setting with warm hospitality we highly recommend Tamara’s cottage.

Tamara has a beautiful property with a tremendous amount of indoor and outdoor space for guests to use and enjoy, with ample on site activities too. My family loved the sleeping space, crafting space, chickens, and making a bonfire the most, but it was all great. Tamara is a wonderful hostess with many recommendations for us, and made us feel right at home. I hope to go back and relax there again soon!
