THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater with miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. However, there is a small fee to dock your boat overnight (see "Extras") at our site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the beaches of Bridgton’s Crystal Lake which sits on the edge of its downtown borders. NEARBY STATE PARKS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES If your idea of exploring is centered around outdoor activities, then Sebago Lake State Park is a 1,342-acre park that abuts the shores of Sebago Lake. Within the park, you will enjoy protected forests, bike paths, and Sebago Lake beaches. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. The park and the lake host some of Maine's’ best sandy beaches, water sports, fishing, boating, boat rentals, camping, picnic areas, boat launches, extensive woodlands, a wide array of critters, hiking trails, and walking trails. Harvey’s Hill is a private hilltop campsite with 360° sky views, unbeatable stargazing, and access to our rustic Cantina featuring bathrooms, warm running water, and a basic kitchen. Just 10 minutes off the highway in Epping, NH, it’s the perfect stopover or peaceful escape. Harvey's Hill has been a beloved part of Epping for generations. In the summer, you might see small planes taking off from the hilltop airstrip or locals walking their dogs up to catch the sunset. In the fall, my aunt Erica makes donuts down in the Milk Room, and in the winter, the hill fills with sledders racing down its snowy slope. Fantastic pitch next to the cantina on top of the hill. Amazing views, wild turkeys roaming and little fishing pond. Cider apple donuts for sale on site down the track. Cantina has toilets, kitchen (no stove) and water. Wash room with hot showers at the house down the hill. Brilliant place to stay.

We absolutely loved staying here! So many good things to say! Camping with THREE bathrooms with HOT water!! Directions to site were clear. Everything as described. Grass was nice and short at the site, which we appreciated. We were even able to find a 100% level spot without using our maxtrax which is also unheard of! The fields to the left and right side of the site had the corn harvested before we got there. While we were there, we got to see the field across be harvested which was pretty cool! The landing strip is also no joke, do not park near it. There was a plane that came by twice as what I’ll describe as doing a practice landing. It came down low to the runway as if it was going to land but didn’t. It was extremely cool to see! But shewwww felt close!

Perfect campsite! Clean, level, easy parking and set-up. Full hook-ups easily accessible! Firepit, grill, picnic table with umbrella all right there ready to go! Very private secluded spot, with trails to walk and explore. Lake was just beautiful with nice dock and stairs making for easy water entry.

The site was clean, and well laid out. The utilities were placed appropriately and easy to get to. This site is very private, comfortably nestled is trees with a short walk to a very private dock. This site is just simply amazing. It is the type of site you don’t want anyone else to find out about so you can have it available for yourself. On top of that Daniel was a great host!

WOW, can't say enough about this beautiful spot with privacy. So much attention to detail, we wanted for nothing. Nothing on site was old or worn out, even the picnic table was quality. Dan was so helpful and easy to reach. Sandy bottom private beach and dock area. I could even set my lawn chair in water and enjoy the peace and quiet at Thomas Pond. Crystal clear water, swimming and kayaking was a blast. We will definitely come back.

Weekend Trip to Island View At Kiwanis Beach
We had an incredible time at Kiwanis beach! Our private site was the perfect spot for our mini baby moon! Sarah was so kind and accommodating and helped us out when I forgot some important and necessary items. We were already planning our next visit before the weekend ended! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some private, dog friendly lake access camping! Looking forward to our next visit as a family of 3 (+ four legs!)

What a great spot!! Perfect for watching the sunrise and sunset. Having access to the sky-can was awesome! It had flushing toilets, a sink to wash dishes, a mini fridge and a toaster/air fryer oven! The spot is super roomy and has pinic tables too. I highly recommend this site.

The greenhouse is a communal space that our family uses as a wood shop and greenhouse space so while the kitchen and shower area are kept clean and clear for guests, the rest of the greenhouse is a working space that can be in various states depending on what projects we have going on. Dogs are allowed but they need to be leashed due to our free ranging ducks and the closeness of the road. We can occasionally provide eggs and some veggies and herbs for tea for a small fee if it’s arranged in advance.We provide a fire pit and kindling but ask that you bring your own fire wood that has been purchased in the area so as not to bring in any new pests.The parking area is large enough if you want to bring a boat or trailer.Our spot is 3 miles from downtown Freeport and is located near a commuter road so it’s easy access to many spots.Freeport is a coastal town with two state parks, lots of great diverse trails which are well maintained and lots of restaurants/breweries. WELCOME to Happy Hippie Lane Maine! Get your "groove" on or hang loose here on a precious little island with a big bridge just off route one in the heart of Midcoast. Hundreds of guests report the perfect balance of upbeat fun and chill time and call our place and hospitality "magic", "amazing" and "holy guacamole!" It is a lovely spot just off the beaten path but close enough to access the frey. :) I welcome my guests personally and have likely had a chat before you booked. I like to know what your hopes and priorities are around your stay before I accept so I can meet both of our needs. When you arrive, I will greet you and share a little history/tour of the place. I accept travelers between 4 and 9 pm but like all of us schedules fluctuate and we can roll some. There's a strong chance on an average Maine clear summer evening, I have the campfire going and the solar lights around the yard are charged for their evening gentle show. All of the spaces I rent are bedrooms only. You walk a few steps/yards to my 5 bedroom home and access two showers and some kitchen use. I also have an outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen that is cute and for your use. It's fun to cook on the fire too! I prefer folks to limit cooking esp in hot weather but support healthier eating and may share some of my foraging tips. The rooms are equipped with plenty of linens and fan power. You will be cozy either way the temps go. There is a lovely porch on the log home where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and lots of wildlife activity. The back yard has tether ball and lots of seating as well as the good sized fire pit with ghosts of hundreds of fireside chats gone by. I look forward to ours! Next door there is a gravel road on a lightly traveled road for your walking or biking pleasure. I am happy to join you in a hilly roller coaster cycling experience and have a few bikes to offer up. I am a WWOOF host and have occasional "helpers" and you are welcome to explore my veggie and flower gardens. This host loves board games and crafts so is often ready to share either or both with guests. There are 150 acres around me that are wooded and pathed so your pup will love it too. ATFS Certified Tree Farm Est. 2004 Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Conservation / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!
