Your hosts, Lucy and Tyler, are homesteading musicians, currently developing a biodynamic community farm and garden project, with our off-grid house still in construction. Please be aware that you will be entering a *working farm*, full of life! Your stay with us is bound to be social and lively at times. There are places on the land that offer privacy, yet overall it is a cozy and intimate setting. We greatly welcome feedback for being the best homesteader-hosts we can be.

- We have a hand-pump on our well that you can use for your fresh water supply 💦 There is no shower or bath option at this time (other than a fresh dip in the bay!)
- Our state-of-the-primitive-art out house is available for your use 🌙 tucked into the woods along the path to the overlook and bay beach.
- At this time we do *not* have firewood available for sale. If you plan to make a fire in the fire pit (which is 100% welcome!) please bring wood and kindling with you 🔥
- The walk down to the flat rock beach is erosion-prone. Please be aware of your steps and tread lightly to help us keep the natural moss and ground cover in tact! 🌱

Mostly wooded with small clearings, this land is a comfortable camping environment. There is a common fire pit in view of the ocean, glinting through the trees. Wild animals, like deer and foxes, and many bird species abound, filling the land with life and song. We’re so grateful to live on this piece of paradise, and wish to share the beauty and magic of the land with you!
On the bold coast of Downeast Maine, we offer (a) tent sites in a grove of young maple trees, and (b) a canvas bell tent atop a wooden platform with a double-mattress. Both of these options are easily accessible from the parking area. A short saunter through the woods will bring you to an open water vista, overlooking a tidal bay fed by the Machias River.
These are very refreshing (chilly!) and strong tidal waters. There are also beautiful (warmer) lakes and many hiking trails nearby, notably the Cutler Bold Coast Trail with epic seaside cliffs. Expect the area to be relatively buggy in summer months, and prepare to do head-to-toe tick checks!
We’re about a 10 minute drive from the town of Machias where you can fill up on supply and provisioning needs. We're about 30 minutes from Lubec and 50 minutes from Eastport, two lovely seaside towns with art galleries, cafés, restaurants, and abundant coastal view points. Open green space surrounded by pine trees. The sites are nestled in spaces surrounded by trees for a sense of peace and privacy. Firepits are at each site. Also on-site, chair and table massage by appointment (I am the Massage Therapist!).

There are lots of hiking trails in the area. If you're interested in touring some of the towns nearby, Lubec, Eastport, Machias, and Campobello Island are all good choices. And, they all have a hiking trail or two, and I place to have lunch

Before you make a reservation read the description of each site. Read all of the info, when you submit your request please include/verify the following info: Is everyone in your group at least 21?/No kids or pets traveling with you.? What sort or camping unit.? Tent/RoofTent/RV/Hammock/Trailer./Van.? Your reservation request will not be accepted until we have those responses so including that with your reservation request is what we need to know. Several of us live/work/answer messages here. Clarity with your request is beneficial. Our camping section is located on the property of Kisma Preserve. Home to black bear, local mammals , and our favorite, wolves. Most of the staff live here full time all year. The sounds of the night are magical. Unleash your imagination and camp here away from the crowds you may find within the local Acadia National Park area which begins about 5 minutes away at Thompson’s Island and the bridge to Mt Desert Island. We are close to basic necessities, and a step away from the masses. We do educational tours daily and if interested these tours are arranged by reservation too. We may allow camping in Winter months but if it is between November and May it is very important to call and find out the accessibility as weather impacts everything. The shower will likely be unavailable in freezing months and some sites are closed. CALL and speak with a staff member before reserving. Self contained Adventure Vans and tent campers with Winter Gear and Rooftop Tents can be accommodated. Or If you want to have a solid roof , screens and a fabulous view ask about reserving our Cadillac Mountain View Loft or if the idea of being naked under the stars is appealing opt for our Raw and Rough site.! Pulling in late, and leaving early for a typical Sunrise reservation.? We can also accommodate that if we know that is all you want. Traveling with your horse.? Talk to us about an Equine site. The Biker’s Bunkhouse is ideal for motorcycle travelers as it shelters both the guest and the Bike/s. Always call, we can answer all questions to get you into the right site for your style of adventuring. With each listing be sure to read all the information. If you are interested in a spontaneous camping adventure, if your luggage got lost or if you just don’t want to deal with transporting camping gear we can connect you with a local gear renter who can supply you with a basic box of necessities including a tent. Last minute reservation requests may not work via the reservation site but we may very likely have a space. True Serendipity Homestead

PARKING IS BESIDE THE TENT SITES AT GOOSE PARADISE, FROG NOOK, RABBIT RUN, and DUCK HILL.

BOBCAT ISLAND IS A SHORT HIKE ACROSS A BRIDGE. (These three locations would require you to carry your camping gear to the site).
This is a working, solar powered homestead, totally off-grid with chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. Available to you is fresh eggs, greenhouse vegetables and garden vegetables that you pick yourself to enjoy while you are here. There is an Artesian spring-fed 2 acre pond for fishing (catch and release only).
Semi secluded tent sites are not very far from an outhouse furnished with flush toilet and a sink with fresh running water. All tent sites have a fire pit and a picnic table. Enjoy hiking trails or forge off into the woods to explore on this beautiful 25 acre homestead.
Sit and relax by the pond while watching for beavers, raccoons, blue heron and even eagles! Listen to the babbling of the Artisian spring where the ice cold water is pumped to the homestead by solar power. Blueberries, wild strawberries and blackberries are fun to look for and eat.
Enjoy the cool nights while star gazing, watching fireflies and listening to the frogs and owls. Watch the operation of a working sawmill, learn to tie flies and how to fly fish. In the future there will be blacksmithing demos and classes, art (painting) classes and nature photography classes.
There will be a nominal fee for classes. Only minutes away is Home Depot, Walmart, restaurants, shopping, Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, antique shops, Historic Downtown Ellsworth and the OCEAN!!

Our camp is located on a quaint pristine, offshore Maine island. We are an easy 1 mile walk from the ferry landing once you arrive.
NEW! We just added a shared use golf cart for our guests to get to and from camp!
Great Cranberry Island is a beautiful peaceful place where the pace of life slows, nature abounds and the stars are bright.
There is a small well stocked general store. NOTE: currently being rebuilt after a disastrous fire. (due to open fall 2023), a museum, cafe and miles of pristine trails and rocky beaches to explore. Bicycles can be brought on the passenger ferries and are a great way to get around and further explore the island.
Our camp is on the site of our former organic farm called Cabin Creek Farm overlooking the ocean (a tidal estuary called the pool), where we grew flowers, herbs and veggies.
You can even kayak directly to us at high tide.
The sites are a combo of a mixed manicured deciduous and conifer forest and open spaces with ocean views.

Robinson's Cottages Camping

Robinson's Housekeeping Log Cottages. The business was started with one small cabin in 1920 by William Robinson and his wife Shirley.
The cottages are located on the bank of the Dennys River, on land owned by generations of Robinsons since 1875. There are 6 log cottages and one small clapboard cottage located on the property. We also have direct access to the Sunrise Trail.

This campsite is located on the bank of the Dennys River and very close to the small pond also on the property. It is a wooded lot with a firepit (wood included), picnic table, and tenting spot. Nearby are a swingset and volleyball/badminton net, horse shoes, as well as a beach on the river. Water bottles can be filled at the Cottages office. There are canoes, a rowboat, and a kayak that can be used for free by campers. Life jackets can be found by the office. We have direct access to the Sunrise Trail and are located between mile marker 79 and 80.

A very sweet and rustic Hemlock cabin, along with secluded 17' and 14" bell tents, plus 2 private campsites sit along beautiful Webb Brook. Walk through the large open field, away from everything, to this storybook setting. All you can hear is the waters of the brook rushing and sounds of nature all around. Graham Lake is just a stone's throw away. Great for kayaking, fishing, and swimming. This magical place is just beyond our farm where we you can buy fresh chicken and duck eggs daily at the house.
In the cabin, upstairs, a lofted queen bed accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder. Downstairs, a wood stove with dining area, and living space with full sized convertible bed. No electricity, no plumbing, no wifi. Good cell service. Composting toilet and water tank for use inside cabin. Gas grill and firepit with tripod grate outside for cooking options. Two large picnic tables for outdoor dining. Truly a magical place.
The campsites and secluded 2 bell tent sites are hidden away along Webb Brook, sitting among the pines and hardwoods. A port-a-potty available for all guests' use. Almost 9 acres of land to explore and discover, as well as Graham Lake just a walk away.
