**ALL SITES ARE ACCESSIBLE BY 4WD OR MODERATE UPHILL HIKE ONLY** Located in Boyd County, Ky (less than two miles from US 23), our 50 acres are on a one-lane, dead end road which makes for a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep under the stars and amongst the trees. Our sites are completely primitive (no running water, no electricity, no sewer) hike-in or 4WD accessible only, in several locations on the hills behind our residence. Potable water (2.6 gallons in a jug with spout) and portable toilet in privacy tent, or shelter, provided. *Permanent privacy shelter on two out of three sites* All sites are ideal for tent campers, overlanding-style rigs, or possibly a small, off- road trailer/camper, with fire ring and firewood provided at each site. You will have access to all trails (for hiking only) and shared access to the fishing pond (Catch and Release only at this time). There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear. Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired (Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers). My campground has 2 gravel hookups. Each hookup has city water, 50 amp electric, and sewer hookup. If you need 30 amp, I will rent a refundable reducer for $20. My house is nearby. Beautiful Cave Run Lake is nearby. It is 6 miles from the campground. One can hike, fish, kayak, boat ride etc…. We are 21 miles from Natural Bridge and 15 miles from Red River Gorge!!

This site is perfect! Very well kept and private. Definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to drive to site if you don’t plan on hiking to. I had no problems with my Bronco Sport with A/T tires. Owners are very pleasant and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back to this site.

This campsite is perfect for a weekend getaway. The creek is one of the best we have been to, while there is a road that follows it the creek is beautiful! We fished using worms and caught over 20 in one day for 2 people (blue gill, small & large mouth bass). While the “outhouse” needs a little love, it works—we brought our own set up but it would work if you don’t have one. There is some road noise, but that doesn’t bother us.

Kelli and her husband were incredible. After meeting both for mere minutes I felt like i had been a friend for years. Then friend and family camp is huge beyond belief. The other sites I saw were all very private and more than spacious. They are all in the steep hills of Kentucky though and when they say they recommend four wheel drive, believe them, but you can still enjoy their camps. They were more than happy to haul my gear to camp in their side-by-side when my motorcycle couldn’t make it so don’t let that scare you. This place is worth the adventure!

It is a primitive campsite, so don't expect state park amenities, but you can expect privacy. You are only a few miles from Shawnee State Park if you want to take advantage of their activities. Tree coverage was mother nature's umbrella during heavy rains and the fishing and swimming were great. Getting to the campsite was a brief adventure, so you absolutely need 4 wheel drive. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Had an amazing stay! Kelli is one of the sweetest hosts. My car could not make it up the hill, so she and her husband helped me bring my stuff up in their side by side (and helped me bring it back down for check out). The site itself was very quiet and clean. They had set up dog treats and fresh water for my pup which was really sweet. And the fire was already set up with all the logs, kindle ,etc. Kelli seems super passionate about the sites and I'm excited to see how much they continue to grow!
