I live on 5.5 acres. It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here. I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area. Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway. I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it ;) The Neighbors dog may come visit while you are here but is very nice and leaves if you tell him to :)
You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch.
You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like.
You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive. The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 50 amp plug.
RV's can use the 50 amp plug (30 amp will need an adapter. I have one you can use if you don't own one of your own) and hose for water.

Using GPS Directions i would suggest avoiding Tunnel Mill Rd and Murphy Lane if towing a camper or driving an RV.

The yard has a fence around 3 sides. Do not go beyond the fenced area as farm crops are growing. Owners have a private fenced-in back yard separate from the common areas.
Other things to note:
We do not allow pets, parties, illegal activities, or fireworks.
Please request the use of the Fire Pit as it depends on wind conditions with crops growing in the fields.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. You must bring your own charcoal, lighting fluid, and matches. Please let us know if you use the grill so we can clean it out after the charcoal cools.
* For the safety and protection of all our guests, we have completely cleaned and permanently sanitized the entire bungalow with LastGerm 2-Step products. We do not have any pets. Occasionally, a neighboring cat or dog may wander by. We are not responsible for the actions of any animals that may wander onto the property.
Guest access
The yard has a fence around 3 sides. Do not go beyond the fenced area as farm crops are growing. Owners have a private fenced-in back yard separate from the common areas.
Other things to note:
We do not allow pets, parties, illegal activities, or fireworks.
Please request the use of the Fire Pit as it depends on wind conditions with crops growing in the fields.
We have a charcoal grill available for guest use. You must bring your own charcoal, lighting fluid, and matches. Please let us know if you use the grill so we can clean it out after the charcoal cools.
* For the safety and protection of all our guests, we have completely cleaned and permanently sanitized the entire bungalow with LastGerm 2-Step products. We felt very welcomed, it's a beautiful and secluded property with a beautiful creek for canoeing or kayaking. We had clouds but i expect the stargazing would be spectacular. Lots of songbirds and deer, beautiful fall color. Perfect temporary home for hunters, we met a few, fascinating for us city people. Bathroom and shower clean and warm. There is a large sheltered area with chairs and grills in case of inclement weather. We didn't meet the donkeys but could see them across the field. Recommended!

We used this spot as a home base for our yearly hunting trip. It was perfect for what we needed. Everyone on the farm was friendly and welcoming! You’ll get to know the horses and cats as they wander around the farm and sometimes come up to you to say hello. The cabin was a great common area and place to wind down after a long day of being out in the woods.

Our stay was awesome! The owner had free firewood to use for the firepits and every question we had was answered promptly. I will say there are no showers yet, so there’s a pilot about an hour away or a planet fitness in Columbia if you have the black card. Other than that it was great, super quiet. Misty Bottoms is hands down one of the best campsites where we’ve ever stayed The site is incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The grassy area was perfect for our tent (and great for RVs too), and we really appreciated the electric hookup and potable water access. The bathroom was impressively clean, with a hot shower and even toiletries provided — a rare find at most campsites!
We loved gathering around the fire pit in the evenings (firewood included!) and spending time in the shelter, which had everything from hammocks, tables, and even a refrigerator. It was a great spot to hang out, rain or shine.
The views of the sky were stunning — clear and wide open, perfect for stargazing, and the sunrise and sunset over the Green River were absolutely magical. The whole environment was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway.
Hosts Travis and Tena were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They clearly care about making this a special place for visitors, and it shows.
We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend Misty Bottoms to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped nature retreat!

We loved camping at Casey’s camp ground Soggy Bottom. We got moved to Jack Rabbit Run camp spot which ended up being such a blessing. We had amazing views of the Kentucky Rolling Hills and we snuggled up next to the river. Casey the owner came and saved the night helping us get our fire going so we could do Smores with our kids. There was amazing live music and even a play ground for our kids! The attention to customer service was perfect! Definitely plan your next spot here at Soggy Bottom!

This is a wonderful little spot to stay. I was here for 2 nights but it would work very as a long term stay. The trailer is set up expectionally well. It is easy to access and incredibly comfortable. Sitting on the deck you feel as if you are out in a swett valley but you are only 15 minutes from some great restaurants, hiking trails and parks. 25 minutes gets you to just about any place else in Louisville. I recommend the outdoor shower under the banana trees. Shelby does a wonderful job as a host and is very accommodating. I will definitely be back here.
